Olympic Inn Shibuya in Tokyo

Olympic Inn Shibuya is conveniently located near one stop away from Shibuya station. It's about a 25 minute walk from Shibuya, or a 10 minute ride on the Den-en-Toshi line to Ikejiri-ohashi (though do mind that express trains skip our station, a walk from Sangen-jaya isn't so bad either). If you end up at Ikejiri-ohashi, take the northern exit out of the station.

The staff were accommodating and pragmatic, through minor language barriers. The room was well kept, and out of all the hotels I stayed at during my 3 week trip, this one had the best USB wall-outlets, allowing for fast charging! The location of those outlets are a little awkward though, as one might end up resting pillows and head on top of the ports. I ruined a charging cable this way, oops!

The room was small but large enough to open my checked suitcases and keep them open on the floor when I need them. In my image's configuration I could unfold my suitcase for access, or fold it back to have more floor space.

It was great to get free drinks

The biggest pain point is that the window is opaque and cannot be opened. If you stay in it all the time, it will be a bit blocked. After all, the area is small. There is a free drink machine downstairs. Calpis soda is delicious with ice...
