APA Hotel Hatchobori Ekiminami in Tokyo

Arrived from Yokahama at 11.00am after a delightful 11 day Cruise
Had difficulty communicating with reception staff in English as would have been appropriate being front line people
Was told that check in wasn't till 1500hrs
Thort ok standard rules for Japan so checked in our luggage then went for a casual walk and found a café etc.
Got back to the hotel at 1430hrs after sweltering in 34degrees of heat of which was expected Aug 25.
Was told after asking what room did we have .Reply back we haven't allocated one as yet.
Hotel voyeur was so small there was no seats to rest so asked for either to get in to our room or have some seats until room was available.Was told early March in to Hotel room would cost 2000 yen
A computer chair was offered for only one to sit on when there were two of us.
Due to our frustrations a few minutes later we were given our room number.
Room as expected for Japan standards was very small .Virtually had to walk over the toilet to get to the hand basin and shower .
Luggage had to be stored under the bed..When you are staying in Hotel for more days than one you don't want to be pulling out your luggage evertime.
Air conditioning Unit whilst adequade blew air directly on to your face when sleeping.
Room itself was dusty especially under the bed and around the corners.
Breakfast we brought vchs for our time there.
The breakfast room apparently is not part of the Hotel but a restaurant attached to the hotel.
It was a self provide breakfast of what was on offer.
Far from inviting for what was paid for and what was paid for.The hot food on offer was barely warm
The toaster was full of bread crumbs hadn't been cleaned for I don't know how long.
The floor to this restaurant was absolutely filthy
The area to take up your used dishes was filthy with food marks stains on the walls.
The overall appearance of this Breakfast restaurant was was far from inviting. Pics supplied.
Appears that this Breakfast was a joint venture with the hotel by an individual restaurant owner who opens at night with pizzas etc and other not too inviting dishes.
On check out we asked if reception could ring for a taxi..Will cost you 500 yen so we headed outside with our bags and flagged down a cab.
An experience from this Hotel we want to forget
Advice for future people who want to stay at this Hotel its your choice
Stay one night maybe ok but any longer look for something more comfortable
Don't buy breakfast vchs there is a very nice café under the library 5mins around the corner from the Hotel which is totally sufficient and has very good cooked meals with pics on offer in Japanese & English for you to select along with coffee etc.

Hotel Management please do not offer your apologies to our unhappy post as of all the bad reviews this Hotel has received nothing has been done to correct what has been written to make people's stays more enjoyable.
