Hotel Monterey Ginza in Tokyo

Everything is perfect, except a little noise from the refrigerator😂. Great location in Ginza, near shopping area but quiet.

The room isn't huge, but the location is excellent, right in Ginza Itchome. You can walk to the shopping district in just 5 minutes. The breakfast was fantastic, really good food, definitely recommend it.

Even though the hotel is a bit old, the hygiene and overall maintenance are excellent, giving it a classic, traditional feel. The breakfast is decent; if you're staying for multiple days, it's worth trying for one morning. The staff are professional, well-mannered, and friendly. As for the location, it's absolutely unbeatable.

Choosing this hotel was the right decision. It has a great sense of history and is perfectly situated in Tokyo's Ginza district, just a few blocks from the Imperial Palace. It's super convenient for morning and evening strolls or taking the subway, and it really gives you a local feel. One thing to note, because it's an older hotel, you need to be careful when selecting room and bed types to avoid mistakes. I had an awkward experience where my bed was pushed right against the wall on one side, which I really wasn't used to! However, that minor inconvenience is completely offset by the stylish vibe, reminiscent of a commercial street or Fifth Avenue, making it feel like an absolute steal!

Hotel is well located and walkable to ginza main shopping street. There is a new laderach store near hotel too. Room is kinda small as usual, but amenities is good. Small lobby filled with luggages but the staff were all courteous. We also walked to Tokyo yaesu bus terminal within 15mins too.

Excellent location, right next to Yurakucho Station. The rooms are a bit small, which is a trade-off for the prime location, but the service and room quality are both great. If you're planning to be active around Ginza or the Yamanote Line, I'd definitely recommend it.

The building has a classic, somewhat European feel to it. It's super close to the subway station and Ginza, which makes shopping incredibly convenient. There are also tons of great restaurants around the hotel, and they're all delicious.

I stayed at this very hotel 10 years ago when I first visited Tokyo, and I still distinctly remember the vintage floor clock by the elevator. The hotel is situated on a relatively quiet side street in the heart of bustling Ginza. Ginza-Itchome subway station is directly opposite, and Ginza Station and Higashi-Ginza Station are also within easy walking distance. Ginza also provides a convenient airport limousine bus service to Narita Airport; for those who prefer to avoid the hassle of multiple subway transfers, this bus is an excellent choice, reaching Narita in just over an hour. Beyond this, Ginza offers an incredibly diverse and rich array of dining and shopping experiences. The hotel's service was also exceptional, making it highly recommended.

Japanese hotel rooms are generally small, and the triple room we booked was a standard room with an extra bed added. This made the room feel even more cramped. The hotel entrance was also quite small, but the lobby featured a beautiful vintage spiral staircase. Conveniently, there's a 7-Eleven and a Lawson right across the street, and a large supermarket isn't far either – we even bought Ichiran ramen from this supermarket. The subway entrance is about 100 meters to the left after exiting the hotel. While you do have to walk a bit inside the station before reaching the train platforms, overall, getting around was still convenient.

The location was not bad, staffs were very friendly. However, the bathroom smelled a little bit.
