A wide selection of skis and boards. Thanks to the guys, they found great skis, and I had a blast skiing.

We slept at nice hotel in September for a few nights the place is very comfortable and offers beds in a dorms as well as yurt and place for a tent the staff here is very helpful and nice, very cheap place that includes a kitchen in the price very recommended

Nice place to stay (pun intended). Kitchen was big with 2 cooking areas and 2 fridges. We left our extra luggage there for our hikes and the host has a seperate locked storage room

I had one of the best experiences possible at this hostel. Jannil and her husband are so attentive. They work hard but always take the time to look after guests and answer their questions

A cozy and accessible hostel for travelers, with shared rooms and a private room. A well-equipped shared kitchen where you can cook. Shared showers and toilets are clean, spacious and well-maintained

It was the best hostel I stayed in during my month long trip to Kyrgyzstan. The dormitory was clean , airy and spacious with good bathroom and hot showers. It has a nice big backyard as well

A great place to base yourself for hiking in the area and meet other backpackers doing the same. It’s very central so close to restaurants, shops and gear rental places

Definitely one of the best hostels I've ever been! Everything works well here, the staff is awesome, really helpful and friendly, the building is new and everything is really clean, plenty of wc and showers, a big kitchen with a lot of place to sit and to relax, and a really peaceful and nice backyard, and all of these, for a really good price! I would definitely comeback! :)

They had a good kitchen + helpful information leaflets for popular trips Sometimes a little disorganised, meaning people stayed on sofas or camped in the garden outside; or that you’d be waiting around for information when nobody was at reception, but overall I had a good experience here

Nestled in a very quaint neighbourhood nearby to the main supermarket, Ashlyan Fu alley, the park and close to all bus stations. Already miss this place and would love to return!

The hostel’s a lovely meeting place for all sorts of backpackers with a cozy outside lounge area for great chats and card games. The location is impeccable and peaceful

They did decide to close down the whole hostel for several days as I was leaving due to personal reasons, which may have caused difficulties for other guests

it's not centrally located but since Karakol is a small town, the town center is only a short walk away (about 15-20 minutes)

Perfect place to stay if you want to meet people to go on trips with/gather information/book trips/etc. Lovely cafe attached which makes meals super easy

Private room are well decorated and spacious, the restaurant and bar menu have plenty of choices and the coffee is great! The staff is really nice and can help you book yurts and guest houses for your hikes

Only negative was that our water never got properly hot for a shower

Lovely hostel for backpackers. The dorm beds are quite comfortable. Toilets and shower rooms are regularly cleaned. They have a restaurant which serves quite good food. The owners are lovely too.

I stayed there for two weeks by myself and I honestly didn't wanna go away from there! The place is also beautiful and have a lot of space for children to play and run around

We stayed here for 6 nights to ski. The hotel is a family home with rooms. It is very nice and really great value. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The breakfast was generous, tasty and different each day

I was sick at the beginning of our stay and felt so safe at this place. I am so glad we had the chance to find this place to stay. Would definatly come back here 🌼 super super clean and beautiful house

Wonderful two-night stay in this clean, comfortable guesthouse with friendly and helpful staff. The space was the perfect environment to relax after a long trek across the country

Nice yurts in the middle of karakol, not far from the city center. Owners are amazing and accommodating

Absolutely loved my stay here! Very beautiful garden, delicious breakfast, cozy beds in the yurts and lovely owners. Highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to experience sleeping in the authentic yurt

Really nice “city yurt”, everything was very clean, it had electric heater and it was very cozy even on a cold night. Owner was really nice as well as simple yet lovely breakfast, would highly recommend :)

Location: nice and centrally located on the main road of Karakol. Easy to find because it's written outside in HUGE writing

Limited English but enough to get directions and arrange breakfast/laundry. After we left Turkestan Yurt Camp and arrived at ur next location, the staff were so kind as to inform us that we left some jewellery in our rom

It is great place for hikers who want to visit Karakol and surrounding mountains. It provides all you would need. You can hire a bed in yurt or sleep in your own tent. There is free WiFi and also breakfast is available.

This was my first yurt experience in my life, and it couldn’t have been a better one. Close to snacks, atm, and lovely help by the kind man working at the camp. Highly recommended.

Sleeping in a yurt seemed to be a strange idea, but it worked: I slept there better than anywhere else!. Good breakfast, friendly staff, hot showers, fast wifi. Very nice place.

There are no curtains/not much privacy, but this is more of a guest house than a hostel. The owner helped us arrange our lodging at Sirota camp, Altyn Arashan, and a 4x4 taxi to the first bridge (I recommend this)

His hospitality and generosity made our Kyrgyzstan experience that much smoother and even better, I can’t even imagine how good a stay at his cosy family run hostel would be! Thank you so much Jalil, all the best, and we will be back ☺️

Great views of the mountains nearby when the weather allowed! All in all a great stay! We had read that people had used the kitchen to prepare their own food, but this wasn't available to use when we asked

Unusual review as we didn’t even stay here - but we found Jalil’s contact from an online forum, he graciously helped us arrange transport and tours around Karakol and back to Manas airport

The rooms are very clean and comfortable (plus a private bathroom is always great!). The common area is clean and quaint. Very enjoyable experience overall

Pretty much a perfect hostel experience. Not as social as most other hostels, but you're very close to social bars so that makes up for that

Best guesthouse we stayed in Kyrgystan!!! Very, very helpful owner, really nice person. Very clean rooms, fast free wi-fi. Even if was double price would be the best... Best plumbs in their garden 😀

I was very happy at this place. After staying at a lot of really lousy guests houses, this one with clean bathrooms, showers, and rooms exactly as advertised was very comfortable and an oasis.

Great location! Everything you need is nearby. The owner is really friendly and offers laundry. The house and the room is very clean. There are enough plugs to charge your stuff

The bed is comfy, the showers are hot and have good water pressure. Our room had a balcony with nice mountain views. There is a secure parking area

And there are tranquil and relaxing areas inside (with 2 sofas) and outside (in the nice and quiet garden)

Furthermore, while we initially thought the internet was good, it was not stable enough to actually get remote work done, and we lost electricity three times in five days (which I think is normal in the area)

Worse, we were charged over $15 for just two loads of laundry (one white, one colors). I have traveled extensively and have never seen such an exorbitant price, not even in expensive countries like Germany

Their kindness felt incredibly genuine, which is why the end of our stay feels so hurtful and disappointing. Unfortunately, behind the friendly hospitality, we felt taken advantage of financially

The first red flag was when they tried to book a mountain tour for us and quoted a price that was 1,000 higher than the actual cost—which we assumed was a heavy commission, but we let it pass

Aside from the financial disappointment, the stay itself had some challenges. The hotel is far away from everything; you have to walk at least 15 minutes just to find food

The real breaking point was check-out. We moved from a very large room to a much smaller room, yet were charged the exact same price ($25/night)
