I had such a wonderful stay!
I met the kind lady who ran the hostel and decided to move to this one and it was the best decision.
The hostel’s a lovely meeting place for all sorts of backpackers with a cozy outside lounge area for great chats and card games.
The location is impeccable and peaceful. Nestled in a very quaint neighbourhood nearby to the main supermarket, Ashlyan Fu alley, the park and close to all bus stations.
Already miss this place and would love to return!

Everything was perfect at this hostel, until my boyfriend got his passport and some money stolen during the night.
I recognise this is partially our fault. We were sleeping in a dorm of 8 people, which had lockers. But when we came back late, we didn't want to disturb anyone so we immediately went to sleep without locking our stuff. We didn't think someone would get up during the night to steal from our bags which were right next to us...
The room was equipped of a camera, but the recording would stop at 9pm. And, of course, his belongings got stolen after this time.
The owner was not of great help... He was struggling with the security camera app, and he did not ask anyone in the room to search their bags.

This hostel emailed us and said we had to cancel our reservation because they were “closing”. However, they did not close. Our friends were able to make reservations for the same night they requested we cancel ours. I emailed them to ask for how long they were closing and they never responded.

Really enjoyed KBH. A great place to base yourself for hiking in the area and meet other backpackers doing the same. It’s very central so close to restaurants, shops and gear rental places. They had a good kitchen + helpful information leaflets for popular trips
Sometimes a little disorganised, meaning people stayed on sofas or camped in the garden outside; or that you’d be waiting around for information when nobody was at reception, but overall I had a good experience here.
They did decide to close down the whole hostel for several days as I was leaving due to personal reasons, which may have caused difficulties for other guests. Wishing them all the best, and I hope someone makes use of the sleeping bag I donated here!!

Definitely one of the best hostels I've ever been!
Everything works well here, the staff is awesome, really helpful and friendly, the building is new and everything is really clean, plenty of wc and showers, a big kitchen with a lot of place to sit and to relax, and a really peaceful and nice backyard, and all of these, for a really good price!
I would definitely comeback! :)
