Very outdated. Room not clean. Service is good
My only complaints are that there was only 1 electricity outlet in the entire room so we had to take turns charging our phones and there was also no sound proofing so as a result we would go to sleep very late and wake up very early from the noises. Also the room service people would come in our room without asking or after 1 knock and one time we happened to be inside when they opened the door with...
The breakfast service was very good, but the rooms didn't have towels or cleaning products. We requested a check-up and a remote control for the TV, but they never brought it to us.
Slow Poor Unreliable Wifi. I ended up using my Mobile Data. Weak Shower water pressure. Toilet bowl looks dirty it has yellow stains that cannot be removed.
On the good side, Room is big enough. Close to bus stop going to the airport. Has kettle, small fridge, safety deposit and A/C. No soundproofing, can hear other guests’ noise. Elevator makes weird loud noises and can be heard inside the room...
The hotel is well-located, close to the sea and approximately a 4-minute walk to the beach. The room was only partially cleaned, and toiletries were completely missing. I requested face towels at the front desk, but they were never provided.
It’s been a rollercoaster with this hotel, and I was changing my mind about it a couple of times, but here’s the truth.
The hotel is not 4 starts for sure, but for what this price can buy in high season in Malta it’s a very adequate deal. Don’t expect anything fancy or anything beyond the most basic amenities. The hotel is good for staying there to sleep, but not spending time there. Don’t bother...

Great location, friendly staff, clean and tidy hotel. Comfortable bed.
The overall cleanliness and location were good, but the bathroom was leaking a ton of water. The bathroom floor was a sea of water. The shower stall didn't seem to be properly waterproofed or finished.
Wonderful hotel great staff excellent location
I enjoy your breakfast I love it !! everything you ask you have it in Buffett thank you
Good location . Good breakfast and service. Staff very helpful
Overall very good experience. The room was much more than I expected for the price and it was very comfortable. The location is great, since the hotel looks towards the sea which is so pretty.
Maybe the only downsides was that at times the breakfast area as well as the elevator were a bit crowded, but other than that all was perfect.

Staying here is like stepping back in time. Boutique hotel located in a former bastion where the rooms are large and well appointed. Staff was engaged and friendly. Location is superior for exploring Bormla. Ferry to Valletta was so easy to get to just a 5 minute walk. We will stay here again.
Fantastic hotel in a lovely location that overlooks a harbour. Food and service are excellent. There is a ferry to Valletta a 5 minute walk away. We stayed over New Year and enjoyed the celebrations on the rooftop.
Highly recommended, thank you for a lovely week away!
Great large room. Great view. Very well kept and appointed. The location is perfect. Close enough to enjoy everything but away from the crowds. We highly recommend this historic hotel.
Warm welcome and fast check in. The room was ready even though we arrived several hours early. Fabulous large room, spotlessly clean. All staff were excellent but Nena at breakfast was absolutely brilliant and thoughtful. Beautiful location perfect for exploring and catching the ferry to Valletta. This hotel gets my highest recommendation, don’t hesitate to book.
Loved our stay at Cugo Gran! We visited during December and stayed here for 4 nights. Special shout out to Momo!!! She deserves 7 stars! Every staff member we interacted with was great - courteous and friendly.
We arrived very early from our previous destination. We checked in, not expecting to get our room any earlier since the check-in time is 3 PM but Momo was amazing and worked some magic to give...
It may be easier to list what did not stand out at this hotel! The hotel builds effortlessly on its old roots and merges historic architecture with all the amenities expected in an amazing hotel. The hotel has a very convenient location, a fantastic view from the terrace, and I absolutely loved the breakfast. It's made to order every day and is incredibly delicious, with specialties available. The staff are also very friendly. It's the perfect choice!
Very central. Lovely hotel and staff really friendly. Room was very clean.
Breakfast was delicious - continental plus the option from a small a La carte menu included.
Very slippery pool area down in the basement so be careful. Rooftop view is lovely - especially at sunset. Would definitely return to this hotel again. Highly recommend.
Outstanding hotel, our lovely room on top floor was clean and comfortable with a view over the city. The staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. We watched the NY fireworks from the roof terrace which was amazing.
Overall a perfect position to visit the main attractions in Valletta and also the shops & restaurants nearby.
This hotel is fabulous. The rooms and all facilities are high standard and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast choice and quality is very good
The room windows couldn't be opened directly, the air conditioning was intermittent, sometimes working and sometimes only blowing air, the room was very stuffy, and the breakfast selection was limited. Aside from the good location and the staff's decent attitude, everything else was really just average.
Centrally located and comfortable boutique hotel with small roof top pool.

Lovely cheap hotel right on Balluta bay!
I did have an issue with my shower but it was fixed straight away, so great service!
I’m had a single room with balcony and sea view booked. The location was great - Valetta a bus journey away as was Mdina and Rabat. Bus service is excellent.
The room was adequate for me. However the noise from the road and downstairs bar was not good. Glass doors ineffective for noise screening.had to buy earplugs. Also the cleaning was sporadic and I had to ask everyday for my room to be cleaned...
Brilliant location close to amenities and beautiful views.
The hotel doesn't look like in the photos. All pictures should be updated. Rooms are very, very old stylish, should renovated. Furniture should be replaced.
The hotel is really good located, however if you don't have the most expensive rooms you don't have any view. Food was good however the same every day. It was more like English Breakfast.
The location was excellent and very convenient, and the rooms were comfortable and worth the price.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff. Even though we checked in late at night, we received a very warm and friendly welcome from the front office staff member, Vishnu. He was polite, helpful, and explained everything clearly. He also shared useful tips about the area, which we really appreciated...
I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel during a business trip with my colleagues. After reading the reviews here, I almost cancelled my reservation, but I'm glad in the end I didn't! I thought the hotel was pretty ok for the price, with excellent breakfast, the room wasn't super modern, but it was nice and clean, nothing was broken, there hot water kettle, the balcony was nice, it was possible to see the sea. I do not fully get the negative reviews. Yes its not the perfectest hitel on the Planet, but for me personally it was very nice. Everytime i addressed anything with the staff, it got immediatelly resolved. Breakfast was very noce and great quality, probably one of the best Ive had come accross. Maybe ita dependent on the season, but i have had zero issues that are mentioned here. Yes, its in the city...
The rooms were ok for a 3 star hotel. The pool and sauna were working, the pool is small for the number of guests, but again, the hotel has 3 stars. The view from the roof of the hotel is phenomenal. They take a deposit of 150e so be prepared for that. We did not see anywhere on the website that it says about a deposit. The staff is ok, they change towels every day.
Decent Stay with Room for Improvement
I recently stayed at this 3-star hotel and overall, it was a decent experience. The hotel has 7 floors and features a rooftop pool (unheated), which is a nice touch for warmer days. There's also a small indoor pool with a side jacuzzi on the -1 floor, along with a sauna that unfortunately wasn't working during my stay. The gym is also located on that level, but...
Good hotel if you’re just wanting somewhere close and easy to all the bars and clubs.
We stayed for 5 nights. Our bedding was never changed and neither were our towels.
We got pool towels but if we wanted fresh ones it was $2.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and very attractive; it’s a great place to relax and unwind.
The hotel is brand new, with a shopping mall and restaurants all within arm's reach. The breakfast spread is extensive, and the fruits, especially the kiwis, are incredibly fresh. Plus, the hotel is just a short walk from the beach – it's fantastic!
Personally, I don't think this hotel, whether it's the facilities or the staff's service attitude, lives up to a 5-star standard. During my stay, the TV was broken and wasn't actively addressed, and the bathroom door didn't close properly, causing water to leak.
Of course, the price for a 5-star hotel here is surprisingly cheap compared to other countries, so there's not much to complain about. The...

We liked it here a lot. The bungalows were kept in a rustic way and quiet cozy. The buffet was really nice, the pools clean and refreshing. We used the bus shuttle a lot but you can easily walk yourself. Unfortunately, the hotel will close in 2019 for several years due to reconstruction.

OK, as a lot of people mentioned this is an old hotel, but is well kept. The food is very nice including vegan dishes.

Everything at The Corinthia is lovely, from the location (no city is too far away) to the food (do try “Bahia” on the first floor if you get the chance)… but what really made my family’s stay memorable was the friendliness and disposition of the staff.

The common areas and spa at Corinthia Palace Malta are genuinely nice and well maintained, and the restaurant is good. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives mostly end.

It was clean, had a big bathroom, and an equipped kitchen (bring dish soap and a sponge to do dishes though). There is wifi only in the reception area. Buggiba Bay bus station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay!
The accommodation was ok. Kitchen and bedroom in order. The sofa bed was broken. bathroom has seen the best of days years ago. No pressure when running the shower or a bath etc. Was told the place will close soon for about 3 months for refurbishment.
