Excellent manager in Richard who always goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable. The cleaning lady took good care of us. The accommodation is spacious, however we feel the owner needs to invest more money in the property to fully utilise its potential.

The property is around lot of plants and trees but they have not maintained the basic mosquito prevention. After cleaaning also there was alot of small flies and mosquito in my room. Used this villa as a short break away from our Mauritius home while we were visiting from the UK. Belle Mare is just up the road from our home in Trou D'eau Douce but it's notably cooler at the villas - the aircon in the bedrooms certainly helped! We were given 2 villas opposite each other with my parents and sister in 1 and my husband and kids in another. My son and daughter LOVED the private pool...

Orchid villas is the perfect place to have some peace and tranquility at an affordable price. The lady at the reception is really friendly and helpful with almost everything. The best bed and breakfast is owned by a delightful elderly couple. This charming establishment boasts a kitchen and two bedrooms in each of its three units on the first floor. The owners are wonderfully sociable; we even invited them to join us for a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony, which made for a memorable experience.

The room service staff have a very good attitude. The breakfast is delicious, no oil, bread, coffee eggs, etc., all natural. It has air conditioning, TV, and refrigerator. It is very convenient and close to the airport.

There is no airport shuttle. Take a taxi! The hosts were very nice. Breakfast was average but tasted good. Light in the room was quite dim. There were no towel bars anywhere. To get into the bathroom, you have to squeeze between a large, seemingly mostly empty piece of large furniture and the wall to get past the bathroom door. The hotel offers good service, and breakfast with an ocean view is a buffet with plenty of variety. There's a swimming pool and sun loungers on the beach. It's convenient enough that you don't need to leave the hotel premises. However, the sea entrance isn't great, with many rocks and channels. We stayed in 2022. Positives - Great views and nice breakfast. The morning walks along the beach was out of this world. Negatives - It was extremely stressful finding parking at the premises and often we had to park far away or end our day early to ensure we had parking. I can only recommend this place for vacation in Mauritius/Belle Mare. I stayed in room 105, which has a wonderful view on the forest and the sea. The room was massive, clean and with local custom made furniture. An authetic Mauritian stay immersed in the nature (we wanted to avoid touristic resorts in this vacation). Food is delicious there (they even make Italian pizza) and they're super attentive...
