Reviews
Other than that the hotel is fantastic, staff were nice and the check in and check out was smooth. Free parking available on site. Location was great, short walk to the beach and to the old town. We visited in the "off season" which we were quite pleased about as we've heard it's very busy and borderline chaotic on the peak season. The price was reasonable and food was decent.
Only things that would've made it even better would've been proper coffee from a barista machine at breakfast and some sun loungers on the rooftop.
They listened carefully whenever we needed help and responded immediately, sometimes even before we finished explaining what we needed. Travelling with a child brings small challenges here and there, yet the staff handled everything with an easy confidence that made us feel completely at ease. It is rare these days to find a hotel where service feels natural rather than rehearsed, and I truly appreciated that.
One thoughtful detail that stood out to us was the availability of complimentary drinking water. It is a small thing on paper, yet in practice it made an enormous difference. With a child, avoiding repeated trips to supermarkets for bottled water is a real blessing, and it reflected a kind of practical kindness that we do not take for granted.
Whenever something needed attention, it was resolved without delay, and always with a calm and friendly attitude. It reminded me once again that a hotel is ultimately defined by its people. Facilities matter, but the service leaves the lasting impression. In that regard, this hotel excels.
The breakfast was excellent each morning, with a generous spread and a team that worked quietly and gracefully to keep everything running smoothly. It created a relaxed start to the day, which we appreciated.
We leave Budva with gratitude for the comfort and care we received here. Iberostar Waves Slavija is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location, but its real strength lies in the people who welcome you each day. We will remember that, and we would gladly return.
The room was spotless and cleaned daily. The infinity pool was stunning with breathtaking views, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.
Definitely visit the Santis Club Spa — Ali was so welcoming and offered a great deal, and Mzia, the massage therapist, was incredible. I was so relaxed I fell asleep!
We were even invited to the end-of-season staff party — live music, great food, and dancing the night away. The whole team went above and beyond with local tips and restaurant recommendations.
Beautiful hotel, perfect location, amazing staff — I can’t fault a thing and highly recommend it!
The receptionist realised we were early , Susanah, I believe was the name.
Settled our cases , sat us down , had the bar bring us a drink and went to check our rooms.
All well.
The hotel was spotlessly clean.
Reception always helpful.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice .
Roof top pool and restaurant a nice extra.
A nice stroll into the old town , but inexpensive bus stops outside.
I do believe this hotel recognises the opposition and will carry on improving.
This is day one of our trip and this has blown our expectations out of the water. From the extremely generous, thoughtful and kind staff, to the breathtaking infinity pool and patio views from the top balcony. This is the place to be in Budva. I asked them to make my anniversary special and they 100% did. Thank you Iberostar Waves Slavija!
Rooms were great, staff were amazing, above and beyond in all areas; maids, chefs, waiting staff, bar staff and reception!
Facilities were top drawer too and the location is great... we did B&B and the breakfast was brilliant, quality ingredients with lots of variety of food. We had lunch there a couple of times on the top floor by the infinity pool... lovely!
Highly recommend this hotel.
Spa area is amazing, sauna, steam room and Turkish bathroom, staff in spa area were very friendly.
The gym has a benching seat and a few dumbells and a treadmill, it is small but I managed a workout. Maybe add heavier dumbbells for the people who like to lift.
Room service lady was very friendly and did her best.
Would visit again
You can also use the spa and gym on the 7th floor if you have time. The staff is very friendly.
The room is better than the photo. It feels more comfortable. The balcony is spacious and has an unbeatable sea view.
The only drawback is that it is close to the beach club. The music may be louder at night. The traffic noise is also louder because it is on the main road.

The room is very big, including a kitchen and a balcony. The room is super clean, design is up to date and the bathroom is new. I do wish they would offer different soaps for body vs. shampoo and conditioner, but this is the most ridiculous comment I have ever had on a hotel.
Breakfast was worth it - fresh veggies, eggs, nuts, granola, pastries and fruit. From what it looked when we were looking for an hotel in Montenegro, it's more than average.
They have a lots of parking soace, a groceries store near the hotel, based right near the beach and it's 15 mins walk from the old town.
They have a small gym and a swimming pool which we didn't try because it was cold.
We will definitely come back on our next stay. Thank you Admiral hotel team!
Breakfast was perfect, nicely presented and delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beach is just a 5–10 minute walk away, and the Old Town is also close.
The pool area is cosy and pleasant, and you can even take the towels to the beach (just let the reception know first). One thing to keep in mind: there’s no elevator in the building.
For about 10 hours there was no hot water in the hotel. After coming back from the sea and the pool, we couldn’t shower and had to stay like that for dinner and going out. The showers only had freezing water, and when we approached the staff we were told this was a recurring problem throughout the hotel, and that the technician could only come the next morning. Only thanks to a very kind employee, who personally went to the boiler and fixed it himself, the problem was eventually solved.
The next morning we approached the reception expecting at least some acknowledgment, but instead experienced terrible service: the manager denied the issue completely, accused us of lying, and spoke in a rude and dismissive way. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had in a hotel. The staff members were nice, but the manager’s attitude was simply unacceptable.
Other things to note:
• No elevator in the hotel, and this is not mentioned anywhere.
• The room was very small, even though we booked a “Superior” (supposedly the largest).
• Noise is heard clearly in the rooms.
Bottom line – I do not recommend this hotel at all.
Staff were very helpful. We asked them to arrange airport shuttle for arrival and departure.
Breakfast options could be more. Only pork was available. There could be beef.
