Reviews
There was no kettle provided and I had a baby with me who needed boiled water for bottles - we had to put a cash deposit to get the kettle.
The pools are nice but the pool side restaurant/bar was also underwhelmed however we went out of season so probably much better in peak season.
The entertainment staff/ restaurant staff/ photographer couldn’t do enough for you - they were brilliant and very kind and accommodating. They really want you to enjoy your holiday.
The location is remote but that’s the usual for many resorts. There’s plenty do though and weather you want a trip into the city you can get a bus or a taxi. We had a taxi who waited for us as we didn’t want to stay long in the city with a baby so that was perfect.
The one regret we had was that we didn’t go to see the waterfalls at the mountains. If we were to return that would definitely be a must as we’ve been told that it’s very beautiful and lots of little places to eat near the river.
We were only there for 5 nights and we had a baby with us so probably didn’t get the best out of the resort we could see that there was lots of night life and entertainment and we could see there were groups and families all enjoying what the resort had to offer. There is also a water park in the sister resort which is a short walk away.
They are currently having a renovation and can see they are really trying to get ready for the season . I would come here as a solo traveller , family , couple as thy really do cater for everyone.
There is a spa which is amazing with really kind and friendly staff . They also do henna on site so it’s worth getting one while you’re there . The lady who does it is also super cute.
They have a sister hotel next door and also camel riding facilities and quad biking right next door too outside of the other hotel.
They have a hairdresser also who does a really good job and can save you the hair wash day problem ladies while on holiday.
Thank you as always ! I’ll come back when the renevations are done to see ❤️
Rooms are spacious, set out across 20 riads with small fountains. Aircon worked well, both cold and hot for the odd chilly night. Rooms serviced daily and bottled water was left.
Check in/out quick and simple. You can exchange currency at reception too. There's a shuttle service to Marrakech, this needs to be booked, runs hourly and cost around £3/4pp.
The all inclusive drinks in the main bar include red, rose and white wine and a few cocktails ( There's a more extensive list you can buy from) and beers & coffees.
The restaurant had a variety of dishes at each service. I don't eat meat and still found choices. Lots of lovely fresh salads available and nice desserts on offer. Sometimes the food wasn't particularly hot, although that's often an issue with this type of service.
We found all the staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. Overall, a good budget friendly hotel. We would stay again.
Do you only like to eat western style food when abroad?
Do you want reception staff to greet you like long lost friends?
Do you want speedy WiFi anywhere on site?
If you said yes to any of these questions then this is not the hotel for you
Yes, our room decor was tired but it was spotlessly clean, beds were firm but comfortable.
The food was mainly traditional North African, so if you’re a fussy eater or have allergies you might struggle but we enjoyed the food
The grounds were delightful and our room, overlooking the garden, was so peaceful. We loved the adults only pool at the far end of the site
The staff were without exception polite and friendly
We hired towels to use by the pool, they charge £/€20 deposit which you get back at the end provided you bring the towels back, which was great as it meant we got a clean dry towel every day
The shuttle bus costs less than £/€4 return and drops you in the centre of the city
We didn’t join in any evening activities so can’t comment on that
We arrived at the end of half term and the first night in the dining room was like eating at Euston station! But the rest of the week was quieter and absolutely fine. I wouldn’t like to be there at peak season
Some people were complaining but we also met people who come every year.
So all in all it’s a nice place and we enjoyed our time. Would we go again? Probably not but that’s partly because we don’t tend to go to places more than once
Diverse food with the all-inclusive package
Friendly staff
