Selman Marrakech in Marrakech

Exceptional brunch and outstanding service I had a wonderful brunch experience at the Selman in Marrakech. The setting is beautiful, the food is delicious and varied, and the horse show is absolutely stunning. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail. Aboubakr takes the time to walk around and check on every guest to make sure everyone is satisfied. It’s a very professional and discreet approach that you don’t always find in other places. It truly makes a difference. Thank you to him for the excellent service!

We did not stay at this hotel but visited it for lunch. The lunch was wonderful. with outdoor seating under a canopy with a miser for the heat. The food and service was excellent. The grounds were beautiful. The highlight was a walk through lavish stables for Arabian horses, numerous horses on the grounds.

An exceptional stay at Selman Marrakech! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The welcome was warm, the service was outstanding, and the attention to detail was impressive. A special thanks to Bakr from the Guest Relations team for his professionalism, kindness, and dedication. He truly made our stay unforgettable and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable at all times. The entire team delivered a high level of service in a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended – we will definitely be back!

We have been coming to Marrakech for many years sometimes 3 times within year. In January we happened to have a lunch here whilst staying at another hotel. We were given a tour and decided to book our board meeting here which we host in Marrakech every year. This was our first time at Selman and it will not be our last. We know all the best hotels in Marrakech and have been to most of them but Selman somehow slipped our radar. Let’s just say we were very impressed. Most of all the staff were so helpful and nice and the service was excellent. But may I start at the top. A great restaurant or hotel is only good if the people at the top care about their guests. We met the GM Adam as we checked in and later at dinner we were greeted by Madame Smires the CEO. We called her ‘The Queen’ as she carried herself like a Queen. She was humble, gracious and greeted her guests with great hospitality. Making sure all was ok and we were happy. All with a smile and a slight nod of her head. She cared about her guests and made you feel welcome. She is the jewel in the crown at Selman and I will tell you about there other jewel later. Throughout our stay at Selman, what we liked was that Adam and The Queen were available and visible. Our party consisted of Germans, French, a Texan and myself whose parents are Jamaican by birth but born in the United Kingdom and live in London. We were an eclectic group. Dinner on our first evening was at Sabo where we were joined by friends who live in Marrakech. The service was excellent and the food divine. We had no complaints. This is a Michelin starred restaurant. Our guests were CEOs and owners of huge companies and well travelled. They all agreed this was one of the best meals they have had in Marrakech. The next day we had dinner in the Moroccan restaurant at Selman. We like to go to Al Fassia for Moroccan food. But we are now torn as the Moroccan restaurant at Selman was delicious, especially the shoulder of lamb and is comparable to Al Fassia. Our dinner included belly dancing followed by a spectacular horse show. Yes, the horses….. the other jewel in the crown at Selman. The horses are beautiful, stunning, Well trained and it was a spectacular show. On our last night at Selman there was a Moroccan birthday party and as we sat in the bar with my partner enjoying his Expresso Martini with 5 beans, we watched the live music and there again we saw The Queen at midnight with her guests hosting and greeting. She should be very proud as we loved this hotel and the service and we will be back. Thank you to all the staff for the Selman experience and all stemming from a wonderful lunch in January that inspired us to book a stay. We will be back.

selman is a true gem! we went skiing in the atlas mountains and enjoyed the contrast of coming back to selman and jump straight into the pool. that's excotic! the hotel has great restaurants, both french, marrocan anmd international. all of them excellent!

We stayed 4 days at this incredible hotel. The whole staff was incredibly responsive and helpful. Location, restaurants, rooms and all other amenities I would assign 5+ stars. This is our hotel in Marrakech.

Our first stay at Selman. Staff are superb and suite was sumptuous and welcoming. Food similarly excellent although we didn’t have a chance to try one of the restaurants which is closed in winter. We will be back.

We had a super trip and great weather. The staff running the Chenot Spa Biolight plan were excellent.
