Staff were amazing. Very helpful and proactive. The hotel room we had was awful. It was tatty and lacked any atmosphere. The hotel was extremely noisy, it was like living in a drum. I cant understand when we had paid well over the odds for the room that we only had 2 bottles of water the first day and no water in the room after that. We stayed 4 nights and I would have expected the room to have been upgraded to one in the "renovated" section and not in the old section. Not very happy with the actual hotel. Staff were lovely

Spent 4 nights and had a wonderful time here. Staff really lovely and couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. We used the hotel service to pick up and drop off from the airport, which I would recommend as Dar would be difficult to find otherwise. We ate in one of their restaurant one evening which again was wonderful, with the most amazing 17th century architecture. I would highly recommended staying here.

We loved our stay at Dar Baraka, a lovely riad in a perfect location in the Medina. Staff is amazing, so hospitable and helpful. Rooms are lovely and very comfortable. An amazing trip to Marrakech, made all the better by our stay at Dar Baraka!

The property is in a perfect location, which made getting around very convenient and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering good recommendations during our stay, which we really appreciated. That said, the property didn’t quite live up to the images advertised and felt less impressive in person. The immediate area when approaching the property felt a bit dodgy and didn’t feel particularly safe, especially on arrival. We stayed for a week with mixed weather, and unfortunately, the room didn’t have adequate facilities to keep warm, which affected our comfort. Additionally, while the staff were helpful, the wait for check-in was longer than necessary. Overall, the stay had positives, particularly the location and staff, but there are a few areas that could be improved to better match expectations.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay here. Everything was so beautiful, and the owner / manager couldn't do enough to help us and even saved points of interest on the download map so that we knew where to go. The rooftop terrace is a total highlight, beautiful sunsets and lovely place to catch the last bit of light before it gets too cold (we were there in January). The little pool was lovely, although we didn't go in as it was too cold in January. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay and the staff (especially reception) was very helpful and nice at all time. We had a massage and that was great, the ladies were really nice and the massage relaxed us a lot. The place is very clean and the breakfast was delicious - we would recommend the hotel 100%!

The most beautiful place we have ever stayed at. The staff are so attentive. Could not recommend enough!!! They were so lovely and helped out with absolutely anything we needed. They made us feel very welcomed. My family and I loved our stay so much!

We had a great stay at Dar Baraka! The experience was truly unique and sensory, with the jasmine scent in the air and the traditional decor. The room was lovely and despite being in the middle of the Medina it was very quiet, blocking out all the noise. The location is ideal, close to the taxi stop and artisan souks. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace and our room by the pool. The staff were very helpful and gave us plenty of useful advice. Highly recommended!

My first time visiting morocco. The service was amazing. Book a taxi service a month before arrival from Riad Bakara to pick us up from airport on the 28th July. We apologised to the driver because he had to wait for 1 hour due to immigration but he was such a chill guy and so friendly. All Dar Bakara staff and all the guests were so friendly. Better that staying at the hotel. I wanted to talk about my amazing experience here. We were very welcomed by the staff there, I didn’t get a chance to get his name but the guy who wears long sleeve green shirt and who greet us and brought our luggage was really nice and so chatty it was no awkward at all. We always see him during the night, and we felt so blessed to have him around because he is so helpful and made us feel comfortable and the Riad feels absolutely like home, bless him. The other guy who works on the night shift i remembered he wore long sleeve brown set and serve us a breakfast as well was really really good, he served us moroccan tea in the rooftop and was so friendly. The other thing that amazes us that even he’s not working, during the day when he’s off work, we accidentally bumped to each other near Riad and he offered us to take a cheap on the go restaurant, that was a really nice gesture as we’re not really sure where to eat. I was gonna give him a tip but he walked away so quickly. But bless him. I’d recommend all my friends, if they visit marrakech, they have to stay to Riad dar bakara. Btw i booked the exact same room as shown on the picture and i don’t have any issues or complain at all, unless if its better if there is bidet. The service of Riad is 1000/10!! the hospitality was beyond my expectations. The hammam and massage service was also amazing.

Our family went to the cafe for lunch. My daughters wanted a Henna tattoo and they were so patient and well done I got one as well! Food was good and great teas :)

I read great things about this cafe and opted to go here, bringing my sister along, over any other henna artist in the city. While my sister's henna ended up being good, mine was smudged while the artist was transferring me over to the drying area and then was half-way fixed after the fact. The older female artist noticed my distress over the messy areas and tried to fix them, but given that it has partially dried, the henna had already stained some. When I asked the owner whether the smudged areas would show he said yes, they would appear a bit messy. I then asked whether it could be fixed and he said that I could wash it off and try again. Not wanting to go through the 45 minute-long process over again, I asked if a slight discount could be taken given that the finished product was less than perfect, through no fault of my own.
He stated that no discount could ever be given and I could either wash it off and leave (the tint already having partially dyed my skin) or I could pay full price. He then, aleady defensive and angry, briefly spoke to the artist in Arabic, who told him that I had moved during the drying (several others there can attest that I did not). Contradicting his earlier statement, he went back and said that it would look just fine once I took it off, not messy at all. We left having paid full-price at a premium rate (given the reputation of the cafe), as I didn't want to further disturb other clients, for henna that was messy. The beauty of henna is that it's imperfect, but clean lines are desired in nearly any form of hand art. This is just shoddy work and poor business practice.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Marrakech. Service was quite pleasant, and the food had a distinct French twist- a welcomed change from local Marocan cuisine.
