Based on my experience at other riads in the same price range, I don't feel comfortable sharing the rave reviews I've read. Let's start with the positives: the riad is well-located, right next to the walls of the Bahia Palace and about a kilometer from Jamal el-Fnaa Square. The property has a tiny internal courtyard; the upper floors are accessed via a staircase made of small terracotta bricks. These tiles themselves collect dust and could use a good cleaning, as well as some loose parts. On the second floor, there's a small terrace, pleasant but not usable in the colder months. The rooms are narrow and long, as I've noticed in other riads. They don't have the gleaming appearance depicted in the photos; everything is a bit dated and could use a general refresh. In particular, the double bed in the deluxe double room was less than 20 cm from the side walls; on my side, there was no countertop (it wouldn't fit!), forcing me to place my glasses, phone, and other items on the floor. As I said, it sometimes happens in riads, but for me it's an inconvenience. The mattress was showing its age, sagging a bit in the middle (and I only weigh 60 kg). I read that some people found breakfast rich and plentiful. I disagree. Maybe it's low season, but I'd give breakfast just a passing grade. Should I add a yogurt? A piece of fruit? I'm not asking for an omelet or a hard-boiled egg instead of the three cheeses that made up the savory portion... In theory, breakfast could be served from 8 to 9:30; in our case (we stayed in January), at 8 the courtyard was still completely dark, and even though we'd agreed on a time, the kitchen didn't start working until 8:30. Since we were leaving before 8 for excursions, we asked if we could have breakfast to go; Two tiny crepes and a msemen (a thin semolina pancake that's inedible when cold) deterred us from ordering takeout breakfast for our other excursions. In short, the riad could use a makeover and a bit of attention to the service. My opinion is that for the same price, you can find better.

The Riad is clean, comfortable, and located on a quiet street. Dinners were not included in the bill (though TripAdvisor stated they were, so we had to pay extra on site, but it wasn't worth the price, even though it was tasty, just like in most street cafes, but three times more expensive). See photo below. 300 dirhams.

The staff were friendly and seemed to try and resolve the issue. 👍

There were no other complaints. The rooms were warm, and hot water was readily available. 👌

This riad is located in the Medina near Place Mellah (a good pickup point for tours) and Place des Ferblantiers (cafes and restaurants – our favorite is Cafe Malah).
It's a two-minute walk from Place Mellah down a narrow, well-lit alley.

We stayed at this riad twice.
The welcome was warm, and the first time, while we waited for our room, we received immediate explanations about everything there is to see and do in the Medina and Marrakech.

Both rooms (double and family room) were clean and fresh with comfortable beds and a well-maintained bathroom.

We highly recommend this riad.

Stayed here for one night with my husband and young son. Room was perfectly spacious with a lovely ensuite bathroom. The riad itself is well kept and a good choice for if you want to be inside the old city but not quite in the thick of the souk. There is some construction happening next door so could be noisy during the day. Breakfast was a little small but considering the price still good value for money. Just don't expect to head out for the day with a full belly. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Clean, comfortable, Riad very well located for visiting important sites. a good breakfast and above all a very warm welcome. We had a very good stay as a family. Thanks to Mohamed and Imane for their availability and kindness.

The worst experience of my life. The owners canceled my reservation a few days before my arrival because I refused to pay a 100% surcharge on the initial price requested by the booking platform. A nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone. My advice: avoid this riad. The platform won't be able to do anything for you... you'll have to find a solution on your own. A dream turned into a nightmare.

A truly awful and bitter experience. The best advice is to avoid this riad and any others managed by the same team if you don't want to ruin your vacation. The owners send you a message a few weeks before your arrival, asking you to pay an extra €1700 (more than double the initial price on the booking platform!) if you want the riad to remain active. They claim the price offered by the platform was incorrect, that it wasn't enough for them, and that they couldn't pay their employees. Keep in mind that the booking was confirmed more than four months prior, and I paid half the price (almost €1000). They change the price, and you receive a message asking you to accept or refuse. If you refuse, your booking is automatically canceled. Then you contact the platform, who inform you that the hosts have every right to cancel and politely advise you to look for other accommodation.

A very charming riad in a quiet area yet just steps from Jamaa el-Fnaa Square. It's located away from the bustle of the souk, yet the square and other attractions are just a few minutes' walk away. The staff is friendly; Fatima will make you feel at home right away and will give you excellent tips for visiting the city. Our triple room was on the second floor, very spacious and clean, with air conditioning—essential in July. The bathroom is spacious, with a shower and a hairdryer. The room opens onto a small terrace overlooking the rooftops of Marrakesh. Breakfast is varied, plentiful, and excellent. Wi-Fi is available in both the common areas and in the rooms. Snacks are available for a fee, and excursions are available. You can pay by debit card.

Tourist maroccan food. The place is quite expensive and you can definitely find the same food in a more characteristic and local restaurant. Nice location but expensive food.

Cool restaurant in Marrakesh. We went here as part of a big cruise group tour and were very pleasantly surprised. All the food was plentiful and very well prepared. We really enjoyed it. Doesn't look like much from the outside but its well worth a visit.

Pleasant service. Decently priced. Nice roof terrace also serving alcohol if you're looking for that. Food pretty good too.

Restaurant El Bahia is situated next of entrance of Bahia Palace. It obviously was part of this historical palace. Restaurant El Bahia has one of most beautiful enterior of restaurants I have ever seen.
Besides of amazing looking you will find a great and nice staff, and an excellent kitchen. Prices are not low related to other places in Marrakech, however, quality and size of meals and side dishes make Restaurant Bahia a very good choice.

Lavish interiors downstairs, plainer on the roof terrace. Mint tea wasn't very strong. Patisseries were delicious, though. We felt a bit sorry for the tortoises wandering about on the roof.
