Palais de l'Ô in Marrakech

The hotel is supposed to be 4 stars, I would like to know who decided it, what was looked at to give it 4 stars. I have never been to a hotel that doesn't offer a bottle of water free. There's no water to drink available how that's possible. No complementary tea or coffee were available, let alone anything in the fridge that you can purchase. We were given an EMPTY fridge. It's 35° plus the heat. We asked for 1 tea, and we were charged 30D. The breakfast was very basic. the choice of menu for lunch and dinner was appalling. Only 5 choices were available. It's the same menu every day. I am glad We didn't choose to have our meals there.

Review of Palais D’Lo Marrakesh August 2025 room 6 I did try to share all that follows with the person on the desk as I believe in sharing unsatisfactory elements direct with staff and not taking to the internet in the first instance, unfortunately his English was very limited, I asked for an evaluation sheet but he struggled to understand what I was requesting so sadly here is the review now online, what should have happened was that I should have been asked if I was happy with my stay upon check out. My main complaint is that this hotel have rated themselves as a 5 star hotel, they are FAR from that, a GOOD 3 star is more accurate . GOOD STUFF - catering staff, servers, chef, cleaners ALL excellent POOL- great, clean , moderate music playing Pool presentation , the beautiful canopies on the sun loungers pictured online which was a huge selling point for me do not exist, when I questioned why? I was told they were in with housekeeping, why in the middle of holiday season would management make such a poor decision? SO disappointed, it killed the experience having to create makeshift coverings with towels ourselves. THE GROUNDS, online advertising makes it appear like the grounds are lush and beautiful to sit in , they are NOT, dead plants, bushes; management; employ a gardener, easy to fix. The beautiful fountains: all empty no water, how sad, again management why? SPA treatments Massage person was excellent! She mantained her spa room well, it was clean and comfortable, the rest of the Spa building, what a sad representation, dust everywhere, not cleaned, was worried going into the building as it looked unused BUT my spa treatment was GOOD. FOOD Presentation GOOD, menu was the most limited menu I’ve ever had to deal with but the meals were good, sadly hardly anyone ate there in the evening, we booked a breakfast and dinner plan so we went with it and was pleasantly surprised, compliments to the chef and server, really lovely pleasant service every single time, amazing freshly squeezed juices, absolutely lovely!!, the quiet restaurant , no problem for us as we lead very busy lives and the quite was nice for us. BREAKFAST Lovely buffet style lots of variety HOTEL ROOM Clean tidied every day ? Although stained headboards and one side of the lights did not work HOTEL GROUNDS inside and out - not directly in your path, dusty surfaces, crumbs on tables that were not in use, stained table cloths on tables not in use, paying guests don’t want to see that, again it’s down to management to create a better standard. Upon arrival we had a morning flight that sadly didn’t get us to our hotel until noon, we missed breakfast and lunch service hadn’t started, I had paid for a breakfast and dinner plan so asked for a bowl of fruit as we were tired and hungry, we were told no sorry the kitchen is closed, what a sad first impression, we struggled on until lunchtime and purchased a meal instead, a banana or apple or both with a drink would have sufficed, a
