Riad Zayane in Marrakech

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would echo previous comments. What a cultural experience we have had in this wonderful Riad, with excellent facilities and faultless service from all staff. Yes, the Medina and souks of Marrakesh are another world to English life but I’m so pleased my wife and I soaked it all up. Haggling for goods was fun and not at all intimidating, would recommend Hammam Nilo for a Hammam Beldi, I’m a new man!… We stayed for breakfast and dinner and it was our little haven after busy days out…The quality of the food was delicious and ate the lot…Due to only 5 rooms and some guests on breakfast only options it is a set menu which changes daily..Some might find this a bit limited and prefer to eat out but perfectly understandable and no issue to us.. Beds super comfy, fantastic rooftop area with lovely seating, loungers, complimentary straw hats and towel a classy touch. A cheeky vino (pretty hard to come by outside as expected) a right touch in the sun. Special mention to Abdul who was the most perfect host at dinner. We really enjoyed the service and conversations, which further educated us on the Moroccan culture.He went over and above and is a real credit to your team. This type of holiday is not usually my kind of thing but what a truly humbling experience and one which will live long in the memory.

An authentic Marrocon experience. Jaouad and all the staff were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good especially the fresh orange juice and coffee. I'd recommend the airport transfer as the driver took us directly to the riad on foot as it's not accessible by road and it would have been tricky to find first time. I would definitely return to Riad Zayane but would upgrade to a room on the first floor for more privacy and less noise.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely refreshing mint tea on arrival. Lovely room overlooking the courtyard. Breakfast was served with local Moroccan dishes with fresh orange juice/tea/coffee. Room was large had everything we needed and amble bathroom. Room comes with free use safe. Riad only has 5 rooms so small feel. Great roof terrace for sunbathing. Would return and recommend to others.

We had a fabulous 4-night stay over Christmas 2025. Nestled in an authentic part of the Medina, it is a short walk through the streets to an oasis of calm in this beautiful and well-run Riad. As others have noted, the walk takes you past all manner of local shops, so be prepared for the true, unadulterated, full-on, Marrakech experience right from the word go! We had a couple of minor issues with the room, but everything was sorted out swiftly and with good grace by the staff, so there is nothing to complain about. Breakfast was different every day, but always filling, fresh and set us up for the day ahead. We had the Riad arrange: - A tour of Marrakech on our first morning. The tour guide, Mohammed, was entertaining and knowledgeable, which really gave us a feel for the place. The Medina is eminently walkable, and we did a lot of steps to get everything in that we wanted to see. - Massages one afternoon. - A trip to Ourika and Imlil valleys which, while it was nice to get out of Marrakech, we really wanted to get some views of the Atlas mountains, which you don't really need to leave the outskirts of the city for. We also arranged a hot air balloon ride through the same company that the Riad will organise it with, Ciel D'Afrique, which was fabulous and which we would thoroughly recommend. Particular thanks to Jawad and Samira, whom we saw the most during our short stay; however, we honestly cannot compliment the staff enough for their excellent service and care.

What an amazing stay. From the moment we arrived, slightly apprehensive walking through the markets, we received a warm welcome. Jawad put our minds at rest, explained the do’s and don’ts and places to visit. The Riad was a tranquil retreat from the hustle & bustle, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean & comfortable & delicious food. Every member of staff was welcoming, fun & friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay love from Louise & Shaun xx

What amazing place to stay, we couldn’t fault the staff they were amazing, the room was authentic and comfortable, the roof terrace was such a haven, the breakfast was top notch and plentiful, we always dealt safe, the free WiFi was great we had no issues. I would highly recommend

We arranged with the hotel to have a taxi pick us up from the airport and would safely say that is the best option or you may have trouble finding the Road. The Road itself behind a plain wooden door was a blissful oasis. Our room Africaan was like no other with African artifacts and style. Great roof top terrace and seating downstairs if you want to chill in the courtyard. Out and about in Marrakesh is an experience you may not have experienced before, it is colourful, noisy, busy, mopeds, bikes everywhere and a yellow taxi, cheap and such an adrenaline thrill!!!

We had a lovely few days in Marrakesh with perfect accommodation at Riad Zayane. The staff were so welcoming and made our stay perfect. Thank you Jouad, Ikram, Omenima and Samira ( apologies for spelling) for looking after us, arranging guides, excursions and taxis. We arrived late at night and the walk along the alley to the Riad wasn't what we expected but our taxi driver walked us to the door and once inside we were pleasantly surprised. A lovely candlelit courtyard; an oasis of calm. We were welcomed with mint tea and cakes then shown to our lovely rooms. We had a busy few days. Tour of souks, Medersa Ben Youssef, Museum of Marrakesh, YSL Gardens, Ouzood Falls. We also went to Fantasia dinner show but not the best way to spend an evening (our opinion). All in all, a lovely few days in Marrakesh. Just watch those motorbikes!

What a complete gem! Riad Zayanne is everything we had hoped for and more. Conveniently situated within the medina, a peaceful oasis of calm with exceptional hospitality and service. On our first night we enjoyed an excellent 3 course meal (one of the best meals we ate in Marrakech. The breakfasts were also delicious and varied each day. The Riad organised a private guide, Ourika water falls day trip, sunrise balloon flight, plus massages - all were excellent. The roof top terrace is perfect to unwind and enjoy a cold drink or two. All in all an amazing holiday and we would 100% book Riad Zayanne should we return to Marrakesh.

We had the most wonderful stay at Riyad Zayane in Marrakesh. The riad itself is absolutely beautiful – a true oasis tucked away from the bustle of the city. The traditional Moroccan design, charming details, and peaceful atmosphere make it feel both authentic and welcoming. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the staff. Special mention to Yousseff, Sandra and Omaiahmmah. They all are incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful little touches throughout our stay, they made us feel completely at home. Breakfasts and 3 course dinner was absolutely yummy. Staff arranged a Moroccan massage and quad biking for us . Everything was great. If you’re looking for a blend of comfort, beauty, and genuine hospitality in Marrakesh, we can’t recommend Riyad Zayane enough. Thank you Riyad zayane team.
