Zalagh Kasbah Hotel and Spa in Marrakech

Do not book this hotel, it is actually not worthy of one star. The place is dirty, dated, in the middle of nowhere and the staff are not very helpful, they prefer to stand around gossiping. The food is cold, when we complained we were told to use the microwave. The plates, bowls, cups and cutlery are either chipped, cracked, stained or in need of a good wash. There are no labels on any food and cross contamination at the omelette station. Birds fly freely in the restaurant helping themselves to the cake section and pooping in chairs, which were never cleaned. We had no hot water and a bath tub that looked like it had been stuck together with glue. The toilet flush was broken and no shelves in the fridge. Our door was not very secure like it had been kicked open from the other side and never repaired. I could go on but I think you get the picture. Awful place.

My experience at this hotel was far below expectations. The food was a major issue — not only was it lacking in quality, but most of the meals were cold when served, which was really disappointing. The hotel also seemed poorly maintained. There was a broken light near the outdoor pool, which made the area feel unsafe and not properly cared for. What bothered me the most was how we were treated during the entertainment in the dining area. Instead of politely explaining, staff suddenly asked us to leave because the show “wasn’t for us.” There was no warning, no explanation, and it felt rude and unprofessional. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and will not stay again.
