The best hotel in the city! Great location and very helpful staff! The free coffee is delicious. Breakfasts are excellent!
Excellent stay! The staff was very friendly. They let us check in early and upgraded our room.
Perfect hospitality.. best option for the price. Walking distance to almost everything. And the area is safe for family. Beautiful scenery
The room and washroom was super clean! They have an elevator which is super nice! The room was a little small but otherwise a very clean and enjoyable stay
The hotel is very close to the museums. On our last day, Hassan was very helpful in getting breakfast for us. We were very comfortable there.
From the moment I walked into the hotel, what stood out was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. The gentleman who checked me in, was so helpful. He wouldn’t allow me to bring down my bags and did it for me, which really made my entire trip. This hotel is in the middle of everything, close to public transport. I really enjoyed my stay. 20/10

The Hunfeld, Utrecht1 / 21High rating
9.1
Utrecht, Mariaplaats 4 🧭 Map
Beautiful and spacious rooms in the centre of Utrecht. I liked the little reading nook overlooking the street, as well as the many big windows. The bed is large and comfortable.
So this is a cool hotel in a brilliant location. Surrounded by what look to be good, vibrant and popular bars/restaurants. The staff were super helpful, especially when I messed up my booking. The Hunfeld style is a 1950/60’s vibe with 2020 comforts, however room 210 needed more of the 2020 attention. It was ok but not for the price. 210 is a large room, best described as an apartment. My experience...
Cute little hotel. Very friendly and funny staff. Really did enjoy my stay there. It is also very stylish in its ambience. The breakfast is very decent, too. The location is in the middle of the city whichbis another plus.
The Hunfeld is in the centre of the lovely Dutch town of Utrecht. The square it’s sited in is on the way from the station to the heart of the medieval canal system. It’s a pretty square but it can be noisy at night from a late night bar while there’s a corner opposite the hotel which seems to be a focus of weed smoking. The staff are very friendly sitting at the reception desk right opposite the entrance...
Great location and lovely atmosphere! This hotel has a wonderful nostalgic charm that makes the stay feel special. The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were spotless. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommended!vice.
Excellent location and room. I need to highlight the exceptional service of the team - especially Pim, who has gone over and beyond with anything from restaurant recommendations to getting a bottle opener. I will definitely stay here again since it feels like home.

Nice place and all the room I got ‘upgraded’ to was smaller then the previous room which confused but this one had a bigger balcony.
The room was super clean and spacious, lovely bathroom. The room could use a little TLC for things like furniture and fixtures. The staff was helpful and unobtrusive, housekeeping was great. Location was perfect for a quiet spot to call it a night after exploring all day.
Overall a good stay and experience, except a very distinctive smell in a bathroom when we just moved in, like someone just used it. Property vise, you can see how the wallpaper is in a process of detaching on a ceiling and walls.
The staff were so helpful and welcoming. Everyone always said hello when walking through the lobby. The location is great, really lovely restaurants and shops around (Boscos is fab). Definitely recommend.
small room and water got everywhere in the bathroom because there was no door. overall ok experience
Happy but worried about overcharge The staff were very friendly but charged me again for my stay, so have to await a refund. Clean and comfy. Overall it was good.

Room was clean and tidy, everything was good, breakfast was buffet style and service was nice.
Fantastic reception service/wonderfully spacious and comfortable room & best location close to all required
The staffs are kind and can support visitors. Supermarkets and restaurants are located near this hotel.
Great room, very clean and nice. Reception staff absolutely wonderful
Nice but noisy The staff on reception were fantastic and very welcoming. The room was really nice and comfortable but it needed more sound proofing considering it's on a square with several bars. I think I could also hear the entry buzzer from my room which was distracting throughout the night.
Loved it! It’s actually connected to the mall. Lots of good shops there. Restaurant downstairs and dining all down the block.

Location is generally good. A tram stop is nearby. The room is okay. There are traces of mold on the grout in the shower area. The floor in the room is worn.
The place is in the city center, there are many restaurants around the hotel, it is very convenient to eat, about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport, about 25 minutes walk to central station. Complimentary coffee, chocolate milk is provided in the morning, afternoon/evening is charged. The front desk staff on the night shift was particularly chatty and provided useful information. Very noisy hotel but nice rooms
The location is very nice and accessible  to most places.. Staffs are very kind and hospitable.. thank you
I was wondering why the review score isn't so good for this property, the hotel is nice and clean and has a good location, however their service standard l isn't on the same level of the property, wanted to charge me 12+ euros for one hour of late checkout, while the hotel wasn't so busy, although he heard I was on a call, I was rushed to go out by 11.30
The location was great, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The sheets were fresh and clean, and there were unlimited water refills.

good location, close to bus station and walking distance to interest place
Nice stay, hood service only the lift was broken
The facilities were clean and I have no complaints. However, although it's conveniently located right in front of the bus station, the room shook quite a bit every time a bus passed by. I had no problems sleeping.
Nice staff but the family room was rather noisy
I had a very pleasant stay at NH Centre Utrecht and would recommend it, especially for short business trips or city visits. The location is the biggest advantage — right in the historic center, within walking distance of restaurants, cafés, shops, and key sights like the Dom Tower. Getting around the city is extremely easy, and everything you might need after work is just a few minutes away. The staff...
⚫︎Room The room was very clean and comfortable. There was a coffee maker and kettle, so I could enjoy a relaxing tea break in my room. ⚫︎Service The front desk staff were also very polite and reassuring. ⚫︎Access It's about a 10-minute walk from Utrecht Central Station. You can walk through the shopping center, so it only takes about 5 minutes to walk outside. There was a bus stop in front of the hotel...

Staff and breakfast were great! We had a room with 3 twin beds and we still had space to move about. Great location as well. Would recommend staying here for sure.
I would suggest the hotel to be more attentive regarding the cleanliness of the room and the towels.
No elevator for the fourth floor. Stairs are spiral and VERY steep, with very small stair treads that are not large enough to place entire foot on. Otherwise, the property and location were great.
The staff is very friendly and works hard however, the room condition was poor. Carpet was worn out and ripped, you can hear the floor creaking when you walk as well as the people on the corridors and the neighbors above and on the sides. Bedding and towels were full of hair. Breakfast is ok.
Cracking stay, would recommend for couples and groups and is really good price and value for money.
Great location Went here for a stag doo. Good location. Great service with a good night's sleep.

Great location, clean environment, wonderful and welcoming staffs, and the hotel provided little things that made it feel like home and more (free morning/afternoon snack and convenient water station at the lobby, great smelling shampoo and soap, daily housekeeping). We love our stay and won't hesitate to come back!
Very kind and attentive staff in a near-perfect location right near a tram stop, restaurants and both the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. They also have a nice little self-service bar where you can get snacks, drinks, coffee, etc. any time of the day
Excellent location to easily get to from the airport, and walk to many parts of Amsterdam city. Staff were welcoming and very helpful, hotel was very clean and the family room suited us perfectly.
Room was very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Convenient location and close to many museums, shops and restaurants.
Absolutely loved everything about this hotel! It is located on a quiet residential street right in the Museum Quarter. There is a tram right around the corner making it very convenient to get around. The city is also very walkable so it in walking distance to lots of restaurants, shopping, and attractions. The room was spotless and while updated, the hotel has the original charm of the older building...
Very friendly staff. Clean. No air conditioning but it was explained why. Old building. Two buildings used together. Very quaint and we felt safe. We loved how close it was to the Van Gogh museum and our favourite restaurant entre cotes

Room is super hot and the hotel doesn't have a parking lot.
Friendly staff and clean hotel. Restaurant/bar was good and reasonable value. Our corner room had lots of light, but a really small bathroom- awkward for tall people. Some traffic noise at front of hotel. Good enough for the cost.
It is OK to stay for a night but it is a little far from the center. It really needs blackouts as the room gets super hot in high temperatures. Breakfast is good. Staff is friendly. Wifi is good and the restaurant is kept cool.
We didn't stay overnight in the hotel, we came just for eat in their restaurant. I do really like their salad salmon. Also their cassava chips!
The rooms were clean and warm. The view is great. 🏞️ One special advantage of the hotel is that if you tell them not to clean your room, you will receive a voucher for 5 euro(for every day they do not clean the room) and the voucher can be used in their restaurant. 🍽️ #hotelife #travelgram #vacationmode

The location is great. Our main criticism is that the bed was poor quality mattress and my partner felt close to falling out of bed more than once. Also the bathroom light couldn’t be turned on without also turning on a hall light that disturbs your partner in your room.
Friendly and courteous staff. Good breakfast and friendly service. Room could be better cleaned. Dusty at the corners. Mattresses are old and need replacement. Well located.
The hotel is very old. But the area is excellent and the breakfast was very good
Nice continental breakfast. The room was small, but that was expected. The bed a bit too hard for my liking. Great location in Amsterdam.
Area that it was in was perfect very Old School. Extremely happy with Visit would go again.
Great location very close to Dam Square and transportation, 10-minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal. Continental breakfast is very good. The room is clean and quiet. Compare to it’s counterpart in US, it’s a little better especially the continental breakfast.

Great hotel for the price. Your room gets cleaned everyday, there is an elevator which is very handy! After 6pm you can only access the rooms with your key card so extra security gives you peace of mind. The beds aren't very comfy but apart from that a really great hotel
Housekeeping staff was friendly and their daily service was much appreciated. The hotel was no frills but tidy and quieter than I expected for the location. The location was superb! Great value all around.
I have now stayed here twice due to location .The rooms are basic but clean. Bathrooms are modern and clean .staff are friendly and helpful i had an issue with the mattress and it was resolved straight away .My only criticism is i wish there was a kettle in the room as i like a morning evening drink .There is a machine downstairs where you can purchase drinks though .I will return .
Excellent location, surrounded by many businesses, on the main road, old hotel. Affordable price, quiet.

Room was ok. Tiny. Bed was very uncomfortable. Bathroom door wouldn’t close and no shower curtain so floor was soaked after showering. Great little hotel round the corner from the train station. The rooms were basic and compact but really well designed and had everything you need. No tv or kettle in room but hot water and lemon water provided plus good free WiFi from streaming. The staff were friendly and helpful! Highly recommend this place for a budget friendly stay in Rotterdam.
clean and staff ate very accomodating and hospitable 🙂
Claustrophobic room, windows facing the internal resting area made it feel like sleeping in a box. Would only recommend if there were no other options nearby the station.
Just a heads-up: if you have heavy luggage, there are some small stairs to navigate. I'm deducting a point for the lack of slippers and a hairdryer. Otherwise, the location is great, close to the station, the staff were lovely, and the room was spacious and good!
great hotel in scheme of things but i can’t lie quite scary and very weird! very good location very good amenities i can’t **** on anything but the fact that the vibe is strange lol. we chose this over further out hotel and as much as we were scared every time we left the room it was quite weird, we were in such a great location! no clue how to rate it it’s so mid but great sorry

Just a few days away, so we booked quite last-minute. Upon arrival, we were given a lovely room on the ground floor due to elevator repairs/maintenance. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of rolls and toppings. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, but that shouldn't be a problem in Valkenburg. There is a bar and conservatory where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a drink. An excellent...
We chose this hotel for: its central location, the ease of parking (paid), the junior suite on the ground floor and its large bathroom with bathtub (recently renovated), the comfortable bedding, the breakfast buffet. We still regret the poor soundproofing (noise from the street, neighboring rooms, corridors... in short, it's noisy, but fortunately it's very quiet at night) and the quality of the services...
The welcome was friendly and good, the room was clean but not spectacular for the price we paid. We also found the staff friendly and did their job well. One major drawback is that I had indicated in my reservation that someone was vegan and that they would take that into account. Five days before arrival, I called the hotel again and asked if they would be willing to accommodate someone who was vegan...
Good location, paid for parking available although we didn't use it. Staff friendly enough. The photos of the rooms on ******* don't reflect the rooms, or at least the one we had. A tiny but stylish & clean room in a great location. A perfect option for a couple of nights, overall I liked it.
We stayed at the hotel for one night. Overall, the hotel was good. The first receptionist we encountered wasn’t very attentive, but each time we returned (2–3 times), he helped us by opening the luggage room without any issues. The main reason I’m writing this feedback, however, is to highlight another receptionist (the Portuguese one), who was exceptionally helpful and kind. As hotel operators ourselves...
I had an amazing time at this hotel. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, no ac as usual in europe. The staff is sweet and I got a warming welcome from the portuguese guy. The game room is really cool, you can easily stay hours there, especially if you come with friends. Overall cool hotel for a veru good price. The neighborhood is perhaps the best in amsterdam
I did a quick two day stay here and I was satisfied. The staff was great and so helpful. Specifically the daytime front desk guy (black) hair. The room is small with no AC but served its purpose which for me was only sleeping. I did slip a few times in the shower because it is extremely slippery. As small as the shower is a mat is needed. We enjoyed our stay here. The front desk service was great, with very informative and polite staff. I’m giving only 3 stars because the hotel is dated, there are no elevators, and there is no air conditioning in the room. However, the location is amazing, which makes it worth it.
Perfect location, central but not too busy, walking distance to everything. A historic building with a lot of quaint touches, the hotel still meets modern expectations with comfortable beds and pristine bathrooms. Staff are friendly and efficient. The breakfast room, looking out to Prinsengracht and a bridge over it, was a favourite spot to start the day.
Location amazing. Staff really friendly. Other hotels are bigger but you would need to get transport into the centre every day. This hotel was fab, on the canals and right in the middle of the chaotic Amsterdam. If we ever return to Amsterdam, we will book to stay here without no doubt.
