We had a room facing the mountain; unfortunately, there was a construction site nearby. The workers started their work every morning at 08:00, creating a lot of noise. The hotel should have arranged a room for us on the other side. Additionally, the shower water was inconsistent, with temperatures frequently changing between cold and hot. I do not recommend this hotel

Hot tub was not heated! Pool was too cold to go in, but the weather was chilly so we wouldn’t have wanted to go in anyways. The breakfast was great. Excellent selection of fresh fruits, bakery, eggs, yogurt.
There are no amenities in the room. No ice bucket, snacks, shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Shower was very small and the bed was shot on one side, the other side of the bed was comfortable. No furniture on patio view of the ocean. We traveled very far to visit Madeira and these accommodations fell short for us unfortunately.

Rooms are clean but some basic double bedrooms are super small. The bathrooms are nice and big though. Since youre in a tourist hotel, you will pay tourist prices. Staff is sweet. Daily housekeeping is good.

I thank everyone at the Savoy Palace Hotel for the warm welcome; we loved our stay, it was very pleasant. We had a cake for my birthday and champagne, thank you so much, we had an amazing time. The hotel is very beautiful, clean, and the view is incredible! I will return.

Overall, the hotel was decent, but our room was very humid, even with the air conditioning on. The room didn’t look much like the photos shown on *******, which was a bit disappointing. It was generally clean, but we had a major issue with ants in the room, especially around the area where we kept our luggage, which made the stay less pleasant. The fridge wasn’t working and had a strong unpleasant smell.

On the positive side, the breakfast was very good, with plenty of variety every morning. However, dinner wasn’t worth it, it was quite expensive for cold pasta served buffet-style, with very little service. The parking was convenient and worth the small extra fee, although the spaces were quite narrow.

There were lizards in our room, we didn’t care much for them, we were able to remove them safely. Staff was amazing and helpful

The hotel was very dated. The parking situation was horrible (lot to the side that the passenger would have get out to push the button to open each time you would enter or exit). The breakfast is an additional charge each day, and although I did not eat (I had a cup of coffee), I was charged for a full meal. Even checking out was hell - would not recommend this property.

We had an amazing stay. Our room was super clean and spacious, and the subtropical garden was absolutely beautiful. The property was so peaceful and quiet, and the staff was incredibly attentive. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Staff was friendly and accommodating, room was clean, location was great very walkable, and the daily breakfast was wonderful, at night the rooftop bar was excellent!

A really excellent restaurant. Old fashioned in a good way, thoroughly enjoyed the food. The manager Francisco, was walking around offering help and good service. The Madeira style tuna was delicious and well cooked. If you're visiting Funchal, it is worth a visit!

If you are happy to pay €4.50 for a bottle of water and €7.00 for a small basket of bread for two then the rest of the experience is worth a visit. The service was good and the food tasty. Not much of an atmosphere but ok overall.
