A human-sized hotel with sublime decor, both in the common areas and the room (absolutely magnificent!). It's just a stone's throw from the vibrant Chinatown district. The surrounding streets offer an incredible choice of restaurants, cafes, and charming boutiques. The biggest plus of Duxton Reserve? Its amazing team, discreet yet always there to provide any assistance you need during your stay (a thousand thanks again for the airport pick-up/drop-off!). I want to sincerely thank them for their hospitality during my stay, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. They were impeccable. Can't wait to come back!

Location: The hotel's location is excellent, right near Chinatown and Geylang MRT stations. If you don't want to take public transport, it's only a 20-minute walk to Merlion Park. This is especially recommended for evenings.
The hotel was formerly a Six Senses hotel. The decor and facilities are still quite good.
Service: I found their service exceptionally good. They offer Chinese-speaking staff, and the staff are very welcoming – this is what a boutique hotel should be like. I chose them because I didn't want to stay in those chain luxury hotels that feel the same all over the world.
This unique boutique hotel is a better choice. Of course, there are drawbacks. The building itself is a century-old structure, and the interior space is a bit small after renovations. There are also steps in the hallway outside the rooms. It's not very convenient if you have large luggage. I recommend this hotel for one or two people with minimal luggage, if you're exploring the Chinatown area. It has a historical feel, like staying in a piece of history.

The entire hotel has a charming retro Nanyang style, which is quite charming. I really like the decor, and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. However, I didn't experience the Autograph Collection Hotels brand, a high-end hotel under Marriott International. With its core philosophy of "Totally Unparalleled," it focuses on creating independent hotels with distinct regional cultural characteristics and unique design styles. The front desk clerk told me there was no pool, no gym, no afternoon tea, no executive lounge, no executive perks, and no room night credits with Marriott! In other words, the executive suite I booked was the same as a regular room, no difference at all! PS: Marriott advertises that Autograph Collection hotels have rooms over 70 square meters, with standard features like high-end bedding, panoramic bathtubs, and branded toiletries (such as Appelles). Some also have smart control systems! However, this hotel didn't have any of these. The subpar room size may be due to local conditions, but for a five-star hotel, there's no bathtub, and the toiletries are from Marriott's lower-end line. Overall, the hotel is beautiful and the decor is lovely, but the service and treatment are lacking. The front desk lady had a cold, unsmiling face. I won't be back, and I've already uninstalled the Marriott app!

The interior is very dark. While it may be the intent of the design style, it is unfortunately very inconvenient for elders. The lighting and overcast shadows make it hard to navigate the steps for them. There are several addition steps to some rooms. These should have been highlighted so that we can make better choices.
The staff in the restaurant also seemed awkwardly trained. One would point at my sister when she arrived later fro breakfast, asking very abruptly which room she is from. Another time after I gave my room number, looked at my doubtfully then started speaking loud into the staff area asking about my room number. When we place additional orders for breakfast, it wil also be met with strange looks instead of politely acknowledging and taking our orders
Housecleaning also appeared at 9am to my sister's room asking to clean. This would not have been the normal timings of hotel housekeeping especially when guests would be on holidays and sleeping in etc.
Overall, this was a disappointing experienfe for a Bonvoy Marriott brand

This Nanyang retro style hotel is strategically located close to Chinatown, with convenient dining and shopping options nearby. The hotel is newly renovated, the service staff are very enthusiastic, and there are many foreigners staying here.

Great boutique hotel in maxwell area, close to 2 mrt stations and a great hawker center! room is rather darker than usual, i got the shophaus type. But all in all was a good stay, ideal for couples with no children

Best seller cold noodles was bland. $35 spicy pork cabbage only had a few slices of meat. Not recommended at all! Very disappointing especially when we had to pay $80 for the meal.
