The hotel rooms are indeed a bit dated, just as mentioned online, especially coming from the Mandarin Oriental. However, it's very family-friendly, with great kids' club and pool facilities perfect for children, giving it a true resort vibe.

Really loved the hotel's vibe and amenities, especially the pool. The breakfast was plentiful and had a great variety. The free shuttle service to the island was also super convenient.

Perhaps it's because this family-friendly hotel is so popular, but there were so many people. The lobby was packed with guests checking in, and waiting in the hot and humid weather was really frustrating. They said check-in was at 3 PM, but we didn't get our key until 5 PM. Luckily, they upgraded us to a suite, which was a nice consolation.

The view was beautiful, and the service was good. The toiletries were from Parma, and the room provided plenty of bottled water. The mini-bar drinks were complimentary on the first day, and there were also fruits, crisps, chocolates, and wine. Overall, I was quite satisfied.

Shangri-La's service is famously good, but the facilities are too old. The TV must be twenty years old, right?! The shower in the bathroom isn't sealed properly either, and the breakfast isn't great.

I stayed here 7 years ago, and it's still pretty well-maintained. This time around, I felt the bathroom was quite old; there's no separate wet and dry area, so you have to shower in the bathtub, which is very inconvenient. On the 11th floor, the water pressure for the shower at night was incredibly low. The hotel breakfast was just okay – decent variety, but the taste was nothing special, not much to eat. They gave us a $100 F&B voucher, which we used for dinner, and that was actually pretty good. The hotel also has a shuttle bus to VivoCity, so you can plan your trips according to the schedule.

The environment here is fantastic! The hotel has its own private beach. Besides the large swimming pool, there's also a splash pool, some simple water park facilities, a gym, and a small kids' play area, making it perfect for families with children. Most of the hotel staff speak Chinese, so communication was a breeze throughout our stay. The only downside is that the room facilities are quite old-fashioned.

To be honest, the hotel is a bit old, and the facilities are relatively dated, especially the bathroom drain which isn't very smooth~

The hotel's cleanliness is excellent, and they clean promptly every day [strong][strong].

Hotel Environment:
The hotel environment is great, especially the children's facilities, which include a swimming pool and a beach 🏖.
The best part is that animals and people can coexist harmoniously. You can easily spot peacocks 🦚, lizards 🦎, and various small birds 🐦 around the hotel. I love it so much!

Service:
The service is quite good; they are very responsive and accommodating 👍.

The room facilities are outdated; there's no separate shower, so you have to climb into the bathtub to shower, which is very inconvenient and unhygienic. The hotel is clearly over capacity. Breakfast, originally on the third floor, now has an additional dining area on the first floor. The variety of food there is noticeably less than on the third floor, and the environment isn't as good. It's convenient for getting around; the hotel has its own shuttle to VivoCity. You can take Bus A to Universal Studios. It's very kid-friendly, with a water park, an outdoor pool, ping-pong, various board games, and staff specifically dedicated to looking after children.

Pretty good overall. The beach is just okay, and there aren't many activities for kids. The hotel itself is a bit dated, and the facilities are average, including a small pool. However, all the staff were wonderful!

We were delighted to spend a wonderful few days here, creating beautiful memories. This is truly a fantastic family-friendly hotel with excellent facilities. Our child loved playing out in the mornings and splashing in the pool every afternoon, having an absolute blast. Sentosa Island itself is a massive resort village for holidays and fun. From the hotel, you can take bus A directly to all the attractions on the island, and it's completely free, which is incredibly convenient. Before arriving, I was a bit worried, like some reviews suggested, that the hotel might be too old and the facilities outdated. However, upon check-in, I found it wasn't old at all; everything is very well-maintained. The hotel boasts Singapore's only private beach, exclusively for guests, which is a major plus. The only downside is the lack of other dining options around the hotel; you need to take bus A for a few stops to find casual dining. Finally, all the hotel staff are incredibly proactive and enthusiastic. If you're concerned about language barriers, you can find a Chinese-speaking staff member to help, and they are always willing and never refuse.
