Grand Hyatt Hotel in Singapore

They offer Chinese-speaking staff, and I didn't need a power adapter to charge my devices, which was convenient. Complimentary bottled water was a nice touch. The outdoor pool was very clean and not crowded, and the elevators require key card access, adding to the security.

A surprisingly good room:
1. The location is excellent, perfect for dining out and shopping!
2. My kids absolutely loved the sofa in the room; it magically transformed into a bed at night and won their hearts! They wouldn't sleep in the huge main bed, insisting on the sofa bed!
3. I was initially worried about the facilities being outdated since it's an older hotel, but after the renovation, all my worries were completely unfounded.
4. The garden on the 1st floor of the hotel is very pleasant, and the pool depth is also perfect for young children.
Overall, it's a great family-friendly hotel!

I really loved the hotel's decor. It was renovated in 2024, so the rooms are very new and clean. The location is super convenient too; you can walk to the MRT in about a minute. Plus, there's a Coconut and an Old Chang Kee downstairs, and plenty of malls around the hotel, so it's great for exploring. The front desk even offers Chinese-speaking service. Breakfast was just okay, not a huge variety, so if you're staying for many days, you might only want to book it for one day to try it out. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the hotel, but there are a few minor drawbacks. Here are 4 small cons: 1) The room door doesn't alert you if it's not closed properly. 2) You can't tell if the 'do not disturb' button has been pressed from inside the room, which can lead to accidental presses. 3) There's only a tissue box in the bathroom; I'd suggest putting one in the main room too. 4) I couldn't find a power outlet for the hairdryer in the bathroom.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with excellent facilities, clean rooms, and all the necessary amenities. The common areas are elegantly designed and exquisitely decorated. It's also incredibly convenient for getting around, and there are many delicious food options in the basement of Dongsha, which is nearby.

The rooms were all newly renovated in 2024, and the bedding and everything felt fresh and new, which I really liked. It's so much better than hotels that only do partial renovations. My friend and I booked separately and requested connecting rooms, which they arranged for us after we emailed them – that was fantastic! The hotel also surprised my child with a birthday cake, thank you so much. The room itself was quite spacious, but the view from this room type wasn't great. Maybe it's because we were on a lower floor (7th floor), and the window faced a wall of the building opposite. That was the only downside.

Right outside the hotel, turn right for Mr Coconut. If you have a Singapore SIM card, you can register and enter your birthday for the current month to get a free drink. A little further down the road, there's a BBQ club with affordable beer – S$6, or S$4 each if you buy 5. Eight large shrimp skewers were only S$14. If you turn left, the underground entrance to Tangs Plaza makes it easy to get to the MRT station. There's a Ya Kun Toast on Tangs' basement level. The basement of ION Orchard, however, is like a maze; I've been there countless times and still can't figure it out.

The hotel was just renovated in 2024 and looks very clean. However, perhaps due to rough renovation work, or maybe I just got an unlucky room, there was a buzzing sound like a short circuit from the light wires after I turned off the lights at night. I communicated this to the front desk, and a technician was sent to check it, saying it could be fixed, but nothing actually happened. This service is quite concerning. Also, check-in is normally at 3 PM, but when I arrived at 2:30 PM, I was told I had to wait.

Great location, super close to ION Orchard, making it really convenient for dining, shopping, and exploring. The room layout is well-designed with ample space, and it comes fully equipped with a bathtub and an automatic toilet. It might be a bit far from some attractions, but Singapore is small, so getting around is generally easy. A taxi to the airport costs about 150. However, check-in at the hotel takes a long time; they said it's not until 3 PM. For check-out, they start rushing you even before noon. Plus, there are very few front desk staff who speak Chinese.

The hotel's location is great, making dining and shopping very convenient. The room is also spacious enough; especially the walk-in closet, where two or three large suitcases can be opened simultaneously without any problem. Sylvia at the front desk is Chinese and speaks excellent Mandarin. She was very enthusiastic and tried her best to accommodate our requests, which left us with a fantastic first impression of the hotel.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from the nearby metro station. To my surprise, a room was ready for me just an hour after I checked in that morning, instead of having to wait until the afternoon! The room was very spacious, the housekeeping was excellent, and the breakfast spread was plentiful. The king-size bed was huge, and there's a sofa that converts into a sofa bed, which is perfect for families with children as you won't need an extra bed. The hotel also thoughtfully provides ample drinking water daily. Overall, my stay was fantastic. The cash deposit was promptly refunded upon check-out. This hotel offers great value for money, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Had two stays amounting to 7 days in total. Really great experience, rooms & breakfast. Amazing location, a couple of steps away from Orchard Rd. Had a big mixup during check-in, but everything was quickly resolved thanks to Kabeer the duty manager’s exceptional attitude & service. We are incredibly appreciative of Kabeer’s sincerity to help us with the mixup. He really went above and beyond for our family! It was a wonderful stay for us and our 1 year old, would definitely stay here again next time we visit SG!
