Beautiful property with a strong sense of history and charm. Service was excellent and very polished. Rooms are spacious and newly renovated. Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.

˜☺˜ Named after Singapore's founder, Sir Stamford Raffles, this hotel has stood for 140 years. The original clock from its inception still graces a corner of the lobby, and the doormen are still Sikh guards from India. The building itself is a work of art. The moment you step inside, Singapore's heat instantly vanishes. Listening to the swaying fans, you finally arrive in the endless summer of Nanyang~ 🪭

✈️ After a 6-hour flight, we kicked off our Singapore trip at this legendary century-old hotel. In the evening, we headed to the Long Bar for a hand-shaken Singapore Sling. So many people visit for this, it's truly become a cultural icon of Singapore 🥂.

🍒🍋🟩🍍 The drink has a sweet and sour fruity taste, with gin as its base, complemented by cherry brandy, grenadine, pineapple, and lemon… It's a well-balanced flavor, and you get to soak in the atmosphere of Raffles' headquarters. Whether it was the great company or just a truly delicious drink, that evening, with the swaying fans, a slight buzz, and peanut shells scattered all over the floor 🥜, we officially began our chill Nanyang 🏝️ holiday 🔛!

This is an established hotel with a rich history, offering a rare peaceful retreat during the New Year period. The butler service was perfect for introverts like me; it was so pleasant to just sit by the room door, sipping tea and reading. The breakfast was noteworthy, and the service at the Yi Chinese restaurant was excellent. Overall, the guests were high-quality and very friendly.

Let's not even talk about value for money when staying here. The ambiance is top-notch, an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle, with a large courtyard. The hotel is teeming with greenery, and it's connected to a shopping complex – you'll get lost without a map if you wander aimlessly. The hotel itself has a historical charm that's quite fun to explore. We were given two complimentary Singapore Slings and got to experience the lively Long Bar, famously covered in peanut shells. The guest rooms are very high-tech, with all the lights, air conditioning, TV, and audio controlled smartly via a tablet. In terms of service, quite a few staff members speak Chinese, even though they told me no one did when I called to inquire. We encountered a very nice room manager who proactively introduced us to the hotel on our way, and even helped us book the bar – highly commendable. The butler service was available but slow. The reason for the 3-star rating is because they made a ridiculous error with our breakfast bill: they charged us for five breakfasts when we only had two adults and one child, simply because we moved tables. They were not proactive in resolving it, and I wasted at least 35 minutes of my life battling over something that could have been easily clarified by asking the staff who served us for two consecutive days. I didn't send an email to complain because most of the other hotel staff were incredibly polite and nice; they remembered our names from the moment we walked in and tried their best to meet all our needs. The cafe at the entrance is good, and the barista even passionately trashed the hotel's coffee, which was amusing! 🤣

The room door is quite thick, so horizontal soundproofing is decent. However, due to the old building structure, the floorboards creak loudly when there are guests upstairs, which can be disruptive to sleep. Overall, it's acceptable and worth experiencing.

Staying here felt just like home, so comfortable and quiet. The service was incredibly thoughtful and friendly. On my birthday, they even decorated the room with balloons and gave me a small cake. The turndown service included chocolates, which was a lovely touch.

Pure white colonial-style architecture, airy arched corridors, vintage ceiling fans, and exquisite patterned tiles – every step feels like a movie scene. The courtyard is lush with greenery and a tranquil fountain, a peaceful oasis hidden in the bustling city. The service was attentive and thoughtful. A very satisfying stay.

This hotel is truly spectacular and luxurious, surrounded by many high-end brand stores. Walking through it, you can really appreciate the attention to detail. Since it was Chinese New Year, the lobby decorations were very festive. The blue pool is one of its famous photo spots and it's absolutely beautiful. My room was incredibly quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. They even provided Chinese New Year-themed pastries, which were not only pretty but also delicious! Both the afternoon tea and breakfast offered a wide variety of tasty options. You definitely have to try the pancakes and toast.

This time I stayed at the Shangri-La, Banyan Tree, and Raffles. I have to say, Raffles was the best and most top-notch, both in terms of service and facilities. It was really nice, just a bit too famous. Every morning, even before 11:00 AM, many tourists would come to take photos, making it quite noisy. Other than that, there were no downsides. Also, hotel guests get priority entry to the Bar and don't need to queue! Right opposite is Raffles City, which is super convenient for shopping and dining. The Indonesian fried noodles for breakfast were absolutely delicious! I'll definitely stay at Raffles again if I have the chance!
