PLEASE DO NOT GO. Dirty disgusting, over all Alcatraz in Spain. So derelict needs knocking down, or revamped. Rooms damp stink of mould, tiles falling off wall’s in bathrooms. Went for birthday in January, booked studio room, after waiting for 3 hrs got 1 bedroom room. Could have cried. What a mess. Met another couple who had studio, lovely emaculate, went to reception and asked to move as they were going home. Told no by miserable receptionist and offered another room block 6. Still 1 bedroom apartment but bit cleaner. Only 4nights left so accepted it. Then we got nothing but bitten. Only in the bedroom. Itchy old blankets over beds. No toilet facilities, if caught short, 1 for each at restaurant, next round pool then in your room. Supermarket not far away, we ended up there for snacks. Everything in restaurant smelt bad plates, cutlery, bowls, made me I’ll for 2 day’s that was cereal only, never went back in there again. No real entertainment, he seems to pick and tuse who he wants. Lady fell down steps from bar area night before we left, ( wasn’t there so didn’t see it ) , taken to local hospital and gave her fit to fly note, as can get it done in England. Walk round the gated complex and you will apartments derelict, one we walked past sure it said hate brits, that looked like derelict apartment as-well, till we see some guy on balcony.

Do NOT go to this hotel it shouldn’t even be called a hotel it is more like a retirement home for all nationalities other than English. Entertainment-what entertainment, nothing for kids at all,so called entertainment staff are so rude and only interested in people other than English, reception staff so rude and un helpful,1 lady behind the bar was ok the rest rude, night time sercurity guy was the best person in there, food you will never put weight on while staying here it is like being on rations, drinks weren’t too bad if u don’t mind cardboard cups and only 2 drinks at a time even though there was four of us,then to have our wrist bands cut off when we checked out to be told we had to pay for anything else we had before we left and totally false advertising as what is around the retirement home,22 bars and restaurants still looking for them and as for on close to the beach it is if u want to jump off a cliff to get into it,this is the worst place I have ever stayed in as was the opinion of other guests we spoke to please avoid at all costs!!!

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever been too. So dirty and run down. Extremely rude staff. We complained to our holiday rep who spoke with the hotel who then said it was satisfactory. The older lady at reception was fuming with us because we complained but she had agreed with us the day before that it was very run down.Part of the hotel looks derelict but people live full time there. Food looked nice but was always cold and tasteless. Everyone we spoke to said exactly the same about the state of the place. If i could rate it 0 i would.

Everything was OK, within expectations for this hotel classification segment. The activities and entertainment staff deserve a positive rating.

We booked the hotel through Easy Jet holidays and feared the worst when we read some of the terrible reviews. We went with an open mind and had a great 4 nights there. The town is quieter than others around but we liked that. Yes the place is basic and dated, there are some cracked tiles - however - the rooms were clean, they were cleaned each day and the beds were made, the beds were so comfortable! All the staff were friendly and very hard working, the drinks were good and there were lots of organised activities. The breakfast was great and there was a wide variety of food at both lunch and dinner. We couldn’t fault it. On our last day we were able to store our luggage in a locked room, and paid 20 euros each to continue our all inclusive band until our transfer bus arrived. We would return to the hotel again.

I've returned from a wonderful week away in silencio , our stay was lovely , staff are friendly, after reading the reviews I was nervous to stay however I was pleasantly surprised, Cleaning was spot on went above and beyond 👌 Food had a great variety, not much of a veggie option. Never the less meals were different each day . Staff friendly helpful and accommodating. Facilities were easy to access and comfortable. The pool has plenty of loungers and seating. Lovely views , This is perfect for quite chilled holiday plenty of entertainment . Food/snacks are available throughout the day, including in all exclusive, we checked in had our evening meal checkout is at 12 however lunch is at 1 but you can store your luggage and have lunch with a ticket provided if you choose to have your band removed 😀 Taxi available all the time bus round the corner €3 euros to more lively area like los Cristianos. There is plenty of nice cafe alcohol and soft drinks in silencio. I recommend visiting Yellow Mountain about a 15-minute walk from the hotel . Overall, it is exactly what it says it is . Money is well spent and will be returning. Views are amazing . Thank you 😊

We stayed for 7 nights and had a great time, the hotel is far better than we were expecting after reading the reviews on here, staff were great, pool was excellent and food was nice, the hotel is in need of a lick of paint, not having Aircon was the only downside, resort is a little quiet and not many shops so be prepared to travel for gift shopping, busses are regular and put our UK bus service to shame as they are all sparkling clean and modern, I have Given the hotel 4 stars as I think that is what it's capabilities are if modernised and certain things updated.

I always get annoyed with negative reviews here. We’ve been coming to Palia Don Pedro for over 10 years and it’s still our go-to place. The food is always hot and varied (seafood, meats, pizza, and there's always chips and salad for the picky eaters, plus ice cream!), the rooms are clean though dated, which isn't a problem, because who goes on holiday for the room?... and the staff are some of the friendliest you’ll meet if you don't treat them like crap. When I asked a staff member how they make a specific soup, she came in on her day off just to give me the recipe?! I love her!! The staff really are amazing, they work long hours and have to put up with so much bull. The atmosphere is usually pretty relaxed (obviously depends on the season), the entertainment is fun thanks to Laureen and Alvin, and it’s great value for money. People complaining about watered down all inclusive are dumb; you can get unlimited drinks?!!! Why are you whining? Just go up and get more! My only issue I've ever had for the longest time is with safety. The baths aren’t ideal for disabled guests, there's no bath mats and you wouldn’t know you can request one unless you’ve been before. The steps up to the bar have broken lights, and the stairs to some second-floor apartments can be cracked or wobbly. I just urge people to be careful :(! If you use a mobility scooter or wheelchair, or are otherwise uneasy on your legs, request a ground floor apartment. Fix those small things and it would be perfect, but even as it is, we’ll keep coming back year after year :D please don't let the bad reviews put you off! (Pic is us enjoying a chill night on our balcony)

My room was directly above the bar so was extremely loud till very late at night.
The pool area was fine, sun beds could do with updating as they’re old and very well used.
Rooms are clean on the surface but don’t look too deep, dust piled up in corners or literally swept under the bed. The shower in my room was terrible and full of limescale, almost impossible to shower well.
Although all inclusive, the food was poor for options with similar things being offered each day. On top of that they stop bringing out more food long before service finishes so if you’re later to the dining hall you will have limited options. They also stop laying tables with cutlery for you. A few times I had to leave without food as there were no clean bowls available which was very disappointing. Yes it’s cheap, but it’s cheap for a reason.
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!
