Hotel El Duque in Adeje

We booked through Jet2 for the Easter holidays and we had a brilliant week. Upon arrival the staff in reception were very helpful and got us checked in quickly. The room was in block G and it was spotless with a lovely view of the main pool. Food was fine, plenty to choose from and the staff in the restaurant were really polite and friendly. Location of the hotel is perfect. Heard a lot of people talking about the brown water, we did experience this on the last night, but this happened to us before in another hotel around the corner. We just left the tap running for a few minutes and it was clear again. I am shocked to read some of the negative reviews, for the money you pay to come here it is very good value for money; if you want 5 star then there are plenty of them hotels in the area. Thank you for a fab time we would definitely come back 🏝️

We stayed in E block self catering which is the block furthest away from the small shopping centre which hotel is attached too. Only been here 4 nights room very clean and spacious. Dated decor and furniture but that didn’t spoil the stay. Ours was ground floor with very large patio which backed onto the road but apart from the odd coach it was very quiet. Pool area is lovely I don’t think hotel is anywhere near full and I’d expect it a lot busier next few weeks, plenty sun beds and private areas to position them. We haven’t tried any of the food so can’t comment. Prices at pool bar reasonable no issues with service. Recomend the live singer at the bar literally outside pedestrian gate’s backyard kitchen I think Tony O sings Fridays and Tuesdays good singer and drinks at bar reasonable. We walked into La Caleta for lunch beautiful place only 30 mins. Market again is right across road from hotel on Saturdays very busy but ok for a walk round.

The hotel is lovely, the rooms are very spacious and clean. Staff are friendly -housekeeping are brilliant. Food is really nice something for everyone's taste. Really good choice of drink options Overall really happy to spend my 40th birthday in this hotel

Stayed here for 5 nights in april for my birthday with my partner. Location is perfect short walk to all beaches, del duque is beautiful and my fav, lots of bars, supermarkets, shops and restaurants all in walking distance. Also there's a 'coffee shop' 5 min walk from hotel 🌱 Hotel is very chill vibes, hotel looks stunning from the outside 2 great pools, smaller one very quiet area, second little more life but still perfect for chilling. Rooms are basic looking but they are very clean especially the bathroom Didn't eat at hotel so cant comment on that..had frozen pina colada which was very nice. All staff are very polite speak good English, when checking in the receptionist noticed it was my birthday and wished me happy birthday which was nice. Pools and whole hotel is kept clean throughout the day. There is alot of complaints regarding brown water, we only had a little when first running the tap, nothing major and didn't put us off, think people in UK expect everything to be the same back home but unfortunately they dont have the same water systems as us, not everyone in the world has a clear water system. I would most definitely return here, gutted to be home.

Not sure where to start with this one so the water in our room block E was gross yellow and brown very off putting and something that needs sorting out asap people pay their hard earned wages to go to these places and at minimum expect clean running water. The pool is lovely nice and big but the area around the pool could do with more regular cleaning. The rooms are nice and clean basic but comfortable. Entertainment was great and the animation team were lovely such nice people. They also have a lovely guy who draws funny character portraits on a evening only €10 which we thought was really reasonable. Fantastic location so handy to have the shopping centre straight in front. We stayed self catering so can’t comment on food as we ate out every day. But drinks are very reasonably priced. We honestly had such a great week here and if they sort the problem out with the water and clean up the pool area then we wouldn’t hesitate to return in future.

Great location for a get away in Costa Adeje. The apartment itself had everything you could need. The cleaning staff were very efficient and always offered more toilet rolls or clean towels if needed. The pool areas were well maintained and the staff were friendly at reception also.
Downsides were the cleaning standard when we first arrived at the apartment and the description of facilities. The toilet specifically had clearly not been properly cleaned and there was debris on the floor as we were entering the apartment. We were also under the impression that the hotel had a gym that could be used. However it was actually a public gym in the complex that was heavily used and you had to pay €12 a day to use it. This we found quite misleading. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and for the price it was as expected, just a couple things that could’ve been improved upon.

Had a fabulous week in this hotel. We stayed as a 3 generational family. Boys aged 2 and 4 We had a one bedroom apartment in Block A This comfortably slept 4 Good kitchen and great balcony. The hotel was spotless and really well maintained. We had breakfast. Again, excellent choices and great staff. 3 pools; one small childrens pool which was excellent, inflatables allowed. Childrens entertainment was great fun, over in one lively hour. Followed by adult entertainment, which was very good.
