Apartamentos Oro Blanco in Playa de las Americas

I use to love this hotel back before covid as it was at good standard for a great price since recently coming back to Oro blanco apartments we have had a different experiences. From bar staff constantly being rude and not very friendly when serving and not knowing how to cook chips properly.
The pool was filthy so much dirt in it and even tasted like salt water.
When it came to the room they were very helpful when accommodating the room for us but general cleaning services in my option was not great it stated our bedding would be changed once a week but we actually had to ask for our bedding to be changed other wise I don’t think it would. Even to the point when laying down and looking at the blue walls the amount of dust on the wall was appalling and haven’t even been noticed by staff.
I think the rooms really need redecorating everything in the room had dodgy been fixed from our front door, to the bathroom, even the beds were dodgy. My bed was broken and constantly squeaked and when my partner looked the bed was close point of breaking.
As for the reception staff their was a lovely women there to really helped us with our stay but there was a man who honestly would be so rude to us especially on our last day like he didn’t care about customer service towards us. Even to the point they constantly want deposits for everything. Deposit per person which is fine with me but to then need a deposit for a remote and safe I just feel like it is pointless and should be stated in website as only states deposit per person not for everything else

The only things I can say that was good about this hotel as it is cheap when booking online

Place is failing! Rooms need a deep clean, the walls and floors in the corners looks as though they've never been cleaned in years, only 1 bar staff on at any time leading to massive queues at the tiny pool bar. All of the food is a greasy mess as the single bar staff is also the same person cooking the food so they are constantly rushed off their feet, I'd just go 2 minutes down the road for much better food.

Food stops being served at 4pm and the bar completely closes at 7pm. We were told before travelling that food was 7pm and bar was 11pm but this changed a few days after we got there and began shutting at 7pm.

Pool isn't meant to close until 7 either but the lifeguard likes to put the pool closed chains around the pool area around 6pm if he's feeling like it, leaving people still left in the pool area to duck under the chains and preventing anyone else coming.

Have been coming here since before COVID but it seems it's only getting worse and I will not be returning again, which is a shame as they have the facilities and the potential to be great.

On a plus side, all the staff are very friendly (besides one security guard who the second the bar closes is grunting at you to finish your drinks and pointing at his watch)

Best thing about it was the price! Most of the reception staff was helpful. Rooms were okay, not great. Had to pay 20 euro extra for wifi (which was not working at all). Never went to the pool cause it felt like a random English city over there. And this was not the hotels fault but holy moly what was that loud music during the night, we stayed at the sixth floor and the music was sou insanely loud.
