Cala Bona Hotel in Cala Bona

Nice area hotel but pot luck which block of 5 you get and the quality of the room. They are not 4 star, towels like cardboard old bedding old beds old furniture poor rooms for sure. Great pools, good food choice and quality but charging for water is a low point. Average staff doing an average job I won't go back

Good little hotel.
Try to get a sea view room if you can.
Food was ok.
Entertainment frequently was great.
We hired a boat by the harbour at the front of the hotel which was fantastic.
Small public beach was great, walk out of the hotel turn right and it’s about 300 meters from the hotel.

The 1st time we stayed here 2 years ago loved our hol/ this hotel so much we extended it at this hotel for another week why there ,this time not so great my husband has a disability the beds for us was just too low too hard like camp beds and lumpy pillows we never had this issue before maybe they've changed the mattresses honestly the staff/ hotel couldn't do enough to help added a topper and extra duvet to lay on just didn't help us it would prevent us returning.the food wasn't the standard as our previous stay although the fresh breads and butters and pastries for breakfast were beautiful all fresh the bacon was delicious too could always find something to eat .we had pool view room this time which was nice mini fridge kettle tea coffee provided walk in shower.i know it was early in the season but the entertainment wasn't of previous standards at all . We do love the hotel and position over the harbour the staff are absoulutely fabulous maybe if they could just upgrade the beds make them higher and definitely thicker mattresses for disabled guests it would really help then we wouldn't hesitate to return the pools lovely and the surprise new little spa pool is fab although there was some youngsters playing about in there so couldnt relax didnt say anything as they were having fun and nothing else for them here being early in the season outside pool was too cold this hotel is really not suited for youngsters/children you may find the protur bonaire more suited for them. Over all it's a lovely beautifully clean hotel suited to more mature guests loveliest of staff,rooms are small but adequate the bed issue is the only dis advantage for us but we thank the staff for all their help !

To start off you can’t beat the location, overlooking the beautiful harbour. The staff are friendly and helpful. We only had bed and breakfast, but if breakfast is anything to go by the food was great. A great hot selection daily, fresh fruit and a chef making fresh pancakes and omelettes if you wish. The room was lovely and modern, comfortable bed and fresh towels and cleaned every day. We just wished we had stayed longer. We will be back! Thank you for making our holiday above and beyond our expectations
