BLUESEA Don Jaime in Cala Millor

We visited as a group of 6 female friends and had a great holiday. We wanted a relaxing hotel, accessible location for disability (ambulatory wheelchair user), and convenience of all inclusive. This hotel ticked the boxes - the communal areas were nice, location was great, all inclusive was convenient, and it mostly had facilities we needed. It was a good hotel to choose for a group, but disabled access could be better. Disabled access info in advance is very limited. There are no bedrooms on the ground floor. The lift (elevator) to bedrooms was very small, I could not fit my fairly compact wheelchair in with its footplates attached. This makes it completely unsuitable for full time wheelchair users or users of larger mobility aids. Access to hotel reception is via steps or a ramp - the ramp is too steep to self propel, probably ok to push a wheelchair. There was a platform lift but no way to operate it independently - you needed a key from reception, and they hadn't thought about how you get this key if you are outside the building. The poolside is step free, as is the dining room. There is no pool hoist. The outside seating for the dining room unfortunately has thick gravel so not accessible. I booked with Love Holidays who considered access requirements to be a 'request'. Therefore I did not have an adapted room for the first half of my stay, and had to pack and move. I was then given an adapted room although it flooded whenever I used the shower. A shower stool was not available at this hotel. The non-adapted room I started in had a tiny bath with overhead shower - not accessible for me. Some of our party were allocated an apartment across the road which was good with a group and had a large balcony, sofa and kitchenette. It had a lift, but access to the building was steps or an extremely steep ramp. The ramp was designed for a suitcase I think - its gradient was far too steep to push a wheelchair or self propel. The location of the hotel was very good for accessibility - the seafront is very accessible and we chose the resort for this reason. The beach was very nearby and access to the promenade (with wheelchair) was easy - decent pavements, dropped kerbs, zebra crossings. Promenade was flat and well maintained. There was a disability area at the beach which loans out beach mobility aids. Lifeguards can assist you in the sea. Sun loungers provided in a reserved covered area, available for disabled people and their companions. Decking to walk most of the way to the sea. Accessible shower and loo. This really was an excellent facility for disabled travellers and the lifeguards were supportive and accommodating. Hotel staff can point you towards it on the seafront and provide a map. Just booked my second home for the fifth consecutive year. Great location. 4 resorts all within walking distance, if you don't mind a daytime stroll, but right on the border of Cala Millor and Cala Bona. The beach and promenade a 2 minute walk away. Very clean in every way. The sataff are very friendly, and always willing to help, with a free smile. The food is acceptable, always something for everyone. The single room was a reasonable size for single occupancy. Cleaned and towel exchange daily, apart from Sundays and Wednesdays, but new towels are available on request, if needed. I'm not one for staying in the hotel on an evening, but when I return to the hotel, most residents seem to enjoy the entertainmaent provided. Not overly noisy, but I would expect people to be in high spirits at some point, when they are enjoying themselves on holiday. Yes, it's a 3* hotel, so don't be expecting 5* levels. If you arrive with that in mind, you definitely will not be disappointed. One of the best value hotels on the east coast of Majorca, and in my favourite resort. WIN, WIN :-)

Went for 6 nights in October hotel is clean and tidy. Food is basic, I've found something to eat at each meal time. Lacks on snacks throughout the day only sandwiches on offer with no butter which are dry.. sort drinks and alcohol are fine.. Great location. Definitely would go back for a few days break

5 girls on a short 4 night getaway. Worried because of the reviews we had read, however, am glad we took no notice as I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff including Sadikhi were polite and friendly especially when dealing with thoroughly embarrassing guests who indulged too much on the all inclusive and decided to 'kick off' resulting in the police being called. Rooms are clean and tidy, balcony big enough for a table and chairs. The pool is not heated and small but adequate and once you are in it's fine. No issues with sun loungers when we were there but this was towards the end of September beginning of October. The food was delicious and varied, there is always a mixture of food, so there is something for everyone. The only small downside is the entertainment, there wasn't any, even playing some music at night would be great, whilst people are having a few drinks. If you are a family with smaller children, there isn't much to do for them in the hotel but loads to do in Cala Millor. The hotel is a straight walk, 5 minutes from the beach and promenade which has loads of restaurants and gifts shops all along. We loved our stay and thank the hotel and it's staff for the best girls holiday. Do not rely on others reviews it is all subjective and down to your expectations and attitudes. Just got back thank you all we had a fab 3 days with you polite staff all areas of the hotel, food was good and hotel was clean, shirt walk to the beach this made it great for me as I struggle to walk to far I will come back again
