Universal Hotel Marqués in Colonia Sant Jordi

We stayed for a the weekend at Universal Marqués in a twin room with sea view, including half board. The hotel itself is lovely — beautifully located and well-kept — but the real star of this place is the staff.

The level of service is truly exceptional, something I’ve rarely experienced anywhere else. Celina, Manolo, Maria, and Simona at the reception were incredible — kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They made our stay unforgettable and are, without doubt, the heart of this hotel.

The hotel offers comfort, a great location, and nice amenities, but the warmth and professionalism of the team are what make it stand out. The treatment you receive here is the cherry on the cake. Highly recommended! 🌟

Excellent location and great welcome staff :)

we spent a week at hotel marques as a family of 15 celebrating my fathers 80th. the location is simply unbeatable. direct access to 2 beaches including the famed es Trenc with sunrise and sunset views that wow everyone. the hotel is very clean (the cleaning staff deserve credit) with attentive bar staff and a helpful reception. the Seaview rooms are functional but a bargain at the price. however if you can upgrade to a superior sea view room (we booked one for my parents) you get double aspect windows and balconies plus 3times to floor space (no.327). perfect for hosting sundowner drinks n snacks! the buffet breakfast is outstanding (we booked B&B) with everything you can possibly desire. we ate dinner twice in the hotel and one night was fantastic (freshly grilled prawns, v tasty local fish and paella). the other night was a slight disappointment with more standard buffet offerings. we also loved the evening entertainment offerings. all in all a superb hotel that works really hard to enhance every guests holiday enjoyment.

Location perfect also the room is clean and nice .

What i didn’t like it the food and also the price quality is not great. Room very simple with high price . And i don’t advise people to take food on hotel.

we spend our vacation this year here. It is a very nice spot far away from spots like Arenal or Cala Rajada and has direct access to a wonderful natural beach. Rooms are a bit small, but we got aquainted to it and the service is good. Breakfast comes with a big buffet, which serves every day similar food. In the evening we tried the buffet only once, but were not convinced about the quality. The only point of concern was that you have to pay for beach chairs and umbrellas at the pool and at the beach. The advantage is that you do not have hazzle with unnecessary occupied seats, where a towel is placed early in the morning ;-)

It was an incredible stay and we can absolutely recommend this wonderful hotel. It‘s part of universal hotels and has a high standard.

+ perfect location (close to nicest beaches, just a few meter)
+ lovely staff (reception, cleaning, bar, restaurant), super friendly and motivated
+ excellent food selection throughout every breakfast/ dinner in the complete week
+ customer obsession is a know word here
+ several free water dispensers
+ Good equipped rooms

-room size could have been a bit bigger
-sound insulation could be improved, you can hear your rooms neighbors through the connecting door (optionally to make a family room out of two)

Advice: book on hotel‘s homepage and you may get a better price

The hotel room is very basic, everything inside are quite basic for the price. Location is not ideal there is nothing around. Long way to the airport and everywhere else. Wouldn’t recommend a place in this location for this price.

Short 3 night break was very enjoyable , hotel spotless nice room , beautiful views , fantastic food ,great friendly staff always had a smile , hotel right on top of a amazing beach perfect location for a relaxing brake ,would definitely stay again
