A little out 10min walk to beach but peaceful area. Great atmosphere with good entertainment. Rooms clean and comfortable. Great value. Hotel is always very clean.

The food was awful so basic, cold and tasteless, the lifts were terrible waited around 10 mins for a lift at one point, the shower would never stay the same temp, would either freeze you or scold you, the pool was like stepping into the Arctic. And lastly there is clearly a bug spreading around that hotel or a huge load of food poisoning because the paper thin walls heard everyone being sick through the night, myself included, do not stay here

Pros Lovely staff - all the staff are very friendly and helpful. That’s bar staff, desk staff and cleaners. All great and make the experience great. Clean - hotel is mostly very clean in the places we spent our time. The bathroom could have done with a touch up considering a few rusty parts and chipped edges of the shower area but nothing alarming. Cons Toilet brushes - I didn’t see one toilet brush and I think these are needed in hotels. Lifts - the lifts caused the most frustration for us and the other guests. They are unpredictable, small, one didn’t work and guests were advising each other to manually hold the doors shut. Sometimes we’d be waiting for 20-30 mins. This is the biggest downside to the hotel in our opinion. Food quality and labelling - the quality of the food is mostly poor in that it doesn’t taste much of anything. In a blindfold test, all the desserts would taste the same. The labelling of the food is also incorrect for example, the beef rogan Josh was a beef stew and the chicken pad Thai was a chicken pie. We paid for full board but mostly ate out as we wanted to eat something tasty. No aircon but hot - it was hot during our stay in April however the air-con only produced hot air which was not useful. Nights were sweaty and humid. Pool 11:00 til 5 - oddly, the pool opens at 11:00 and very slowly as the lifeguard takes his time. Then closes at 5pm and the lifeguard starts closing it at 4pm. Thin walls - the hotel walls are very thin and so you can clearly hear everything above, below and on each side. It was so loud that it sounded like people were in our room. Most of Benidorm has noise coming in from outside but here, all the noise comes from within. As a family, we would only stay here again if there was an exceptionally good offer on. Otherwise, we will likely not be returning. My wife enjoyed though.

felt compelled to write a review. Mainly to counteract all the negative that I had read prior to going, which caused me a lot of anxiety as I was travelling for the first time in 7 years—this time as a single mother with my 5-year-old son. Yes, the hotel is located just off the “yellow brick road,” but honestly, this wasn’t an issue for us at all. My son and I used it daily to walk down to the beach and back again in the evenings after dinner, and we never once felt unsafe. All of the staff we encountered were genuinely friendly and helpful. We did have a small issue with our safe—reception initially tried to resolve it, and when that didn’t work, I called down again. Within five minutes, a maintenance worker was in our room and the problem was fixed, which I thought was excellent service. The room itself was clean and functional, with everything we needed for our stay. It was cleaned daily, the beds were made, and we were given fresh towels each day—even when we didn’t really need them. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, as my son is a bit of a fussy eater and I thought it would be easier to eat out in the evenings. Breakfast was great, with plenty of variety—there really was something for everyone. We spent a few days by the pool, and the splash pool for my little one was perfect. There’s also a small park just behind it, which was a lovely bonus. I could relax in the sun while knowing he was safe and happy. I did try the main pool twice—it was very cold at first, but fine once you were in! Pool hours were roughly 11:00–17:00. The only point I would agree with from other reviews is regarding the lifts—they are quite slow, and one was out of order for our entire stay. At times, it felt like those who were more able and staying on lower floors were using the lifts instead of the stairs, which meant longer waits for those of us higher up or less able. We were on the 7th floor and often ended up using the stairs during peak times. Overall, our experience was really positive. I’m so glad I didn’t let the negative reviews put me off, as we had a lovely, stress-free stay and made some great memories.

What an amazing hotel! From the moment we checked in (effortlessly) our room was spotless and spacious. We had a box of chocolates and two kinder Bueno eggs for my son awaiting for us in our room. He was so happy. We were half board and very happy with the variety of food served here. I've read previous comments about the food, but there was so much choice I can't understand why other people have complained. There was a lovely little children's station that my son enjoyed choosing his food from. Dinner was served at 3 different times to allow the flow of all guests ( choice on arrival). The staff throughout the hotel were absolutely outstanding, from dinner plate collectors to waiters to cleaners, bar and reception staff, absolutely amazing and great with children! My 4 year old absolutely loved playing in the games room in the evenings and between the children's water pool and park during the day. There's plenty of sunbeds stacked on the side, so easy to help yourself and find your own spot! Entertainment was good in the evenings, at 8:30pm the kids disco started then 9pm onwards are 3 different acts. Such lovely variety! Upon checkout we were gifted a bag with water, crisps and an apple for our journey home. This kind gesture goes such a long way and we really appreciated it. Thank you very much for our stay in Rio Park, we will definitely be returning again in the future!

Myself, wife and 15 yod. 1 week stay in a junior suite room 128 adaptive access room. Lower, pool view. Tui package for 7 nights H/B. Nice comfy beds, spacious room, big bathroom. Shower needs a refresh. Room service everyday. Breakfast nice, evening meals this time OK. Plenty of sunbeds, chairs outside. Much better than our last few visits

The hotel was excellent and spotlessly clean. We arrived around 11:00 and were able to access our rooms straight away. The room itself was very comfortable, featuring a good shower, a balcony, and a small fridge.
The Rio Park Hotel is conveniently located—about a 10-minute walk from the seafront, 10 minutes from the main bar area, and around 20 minutes from the Old Town.
Both breakfast and dinner were very enjoyable, with a wide selection of dishes available that catered to a variety of tastes.

Staff were excellent

Went for a 3 night stay with a group of friends early March. Hotel in a great location for Bars etc, not far from.the beach, maybe a 10 min walk. Arrived early greeted by friendly staff who let us check in straight away. The room was spotlessly clean with a modern ensuite, cleaned, and made up every day. The rest of the hotel was also very clean. We were half board and the breakfast and evening meal was fantastic, loads of choice, very good quality and tasty couldn't fault it. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Didn't use the pool as it was not really the weather for it, but what I saw of it it looked lovely. For the location and price we couldn't have asked for better!!

Your meat was pink and bloody inside .not cooked properly..absolutely raging at this hotel. We got told how good rio park was. Aye right. Looks good from outside .reception a joke ques miles long .sorry management you certainly didn't do enough . No signage up to explain something was wrong.
