Reviews
Reception was efficient and quick, polite..
Room was clean and bright, good terrace with a sea view.
Plenty of channels on the TV including many UK channels.
The spa area although 20 euros was worth it, very relaxing and big and plenty of room.
The food was very good, 3 meals a day, wide selection of food, drinks brought to your table by pleasant and efficient staff.
Overall, I would definitely return here.
So ,I went with my husband for four nights in February ,we had breakfast included .
Negative: 1.to use the spa you have to pay 20€ per person and it’s only for 2 hours .
2.the carpet on the corridor smell to much ,I guess it wasn’t washed in a long time (not a big deal anyways )
Positive: 1.very good place ,beach near and all shops and restaurants .
2. Conditioner in room and per general very good room .
3. Breakfast was okey ,I personally just missed more fresh vegetables like (tomatoes -which was there but not best quality. And cucumbers which never was there (again not a big deal)
Bare in mind is closing at 10:30
4.there is lot of entertainment which we personally didn’t take part in but I saw that people in age did enjoy this (as they stayed mostly in hotel)
5.Just an advice: please change your wristbands lol .. from all hotel this was the worst one ,super uncomfortable.(again it’s ot a major thing )
Thankyou for all 🙏🏻
Big spacious room with seaview. And a huge bathroom. Maybe all a little out of date but very well for us. Friendly staff.
We had a standard room on the 16th floor (room 1608). The room itself was very basic and not soundproof at all. The biggest issue was the lifts — we regularly waited around 10 minutes, and they stopped on multiple floors each time. On one of the days, the water was turned off for the entire day due to building work, and we were not informed of this before or during our stay, which was really unacceptable.
Cleanliness was a big concern. In the restaurant, almost every plate we picked up was dirty on both the top and bottom, including glasses and cutlery. We also had silverfish coming out from under our bed, which was unpleasant.
The staff were generally slow and didn’t speak or understand English very well. Service felt geared towards the older guests — we were the youngest people there, and staff mostly focused on serving drinks to older tables. The atmosphere from other guests was quite obnoxious at times, but this may be due to the age demographic the hotel attracts.
Food and drink were very basic and mostly the same each day. As a vegetarian, options were very limited, and many dishes weren’t labelled, which also wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with allergies. The food was often bland, cold, and tasted of nothing.
Facilities were mixed. The spa itself was nice and probably the best part of the hotel, but we weren’t told that it had to be paid for separately when booking through On the Beach. We also had to pay extra for flip-flops and swimming caps, and the changing rooms had no locks on the doors. An older lady slipped in the changing area, which was concerning. The bathroom doors in the rooms also don’t lock. The outdoor pool was very cold, although this is understandable for the time of year. Entertainment wasn’t great and definitely not aimed at younger guests.
The location is excellent — about a 5-minute walk to the beach and the strip, very central with lots of shops nearby. Neptune’s is especially worth visiting. We also did an excursion with Marco Polo to Algar Waterfalls and Guadalest, which was lovely and a highlight of the trip.
Overall, this hotel may suit older guests who are happy with bland food and slower service, and it’s okay for a cheap staycation. However, it didn’t meet 4-star expectations for us, and we wouldn’t return.
Only criticism was the bedroom. Though very clean with comfortable beds it hardly can be described as "de luxe". No writing materials, only one small bottle of water (which was not replenished), balcony door was extremely stiff (my wife could not open it and I struggled). Expensive "extras" - safe (3 euros a night) parking - 18 euros a night. No tea/coffee making facilities though there was a kettle and provisions could be obtained from the bar.
The staff cannot do more for you, the bar team are superb and very generous.
The animation team are wonderful, particularly Judith and Oscar, they really go out of their way to make you included, entertained and loved 🥰
The waiting staff are mega efficient and incredibly friendly.
The rooms are probably due an upgrade soon as they are a little dated, but very very clean and functional with nice touches of fridge, coffee machine and safe etc. good views of the sea.located smack bang in the middle of the old town and the strip so 10 mins in either direction and you’re in the middle of the action if you want but plenty to keep you entertained all day long.
The food is buffet style with themed nights throughout the week such as Asian and Mexican. Gala night on Friday is our favourite with prawns for days 🦐
Just returned from a week in this lovely hotel conveniently located just outside the old town and less than a 10-minute walk to Levante beach.
Food is very good, especially for meat-eaters, though there is a good variety of pastas, rice, and salad, plus a small, separate, vegetarian section.
The chairs in the lounge area and concert room are really comfortable. Bar area are OK. Outside has plenty of tables, chairs, and loungers too. In all the communal areas there is nice background music which is just that, in the background. Some hotels seem to think you should be having a disco! Shows were quite good with really enthusiastic entertainment people.
WiFi is excellent throughout with no complicated sign-on, though it does slow down a bit during busy periods.
Most of the staff are really friendly and very attentive.
Minor gripes, but they don't detract from the overall rating, are...
Dinner plates are only lukewarm, so food can cool quite quickly. Luckily, everything is usually piping hot.
Though the rooms are well-appointed, ours had 2 queen-sized beds but only 1 bedside cabinet between them. The sockets and light switches were on the outside, so you have to lay your phone/tablet charge lead behind the pillow to put the device on the cabinet. The hotel phone was already like this. Luckily, I had some extra-long leads.
Pigeons are a bit of a nuisance outside, especially if guests leave snack leftovers, so the staff need to keep on top of clearing tables.
This is one of the few hotels I will be going back too.
Ideal location close to the old town and the strip.
Adults only hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
