Stayed for 1 week, honest review below. Would rate 3.5 but no option.

Pros!!
Location - amazing location, close to everything. Pubs and restaurants as soon as you leave the hotel, beach a 10 min walk away, 35 mins from airport - couldn’t ask for better.

Rooms - cleaned daily, modern, lovely bathroom, pushed our 2 double beds together so had a massive bed for the stay which was lovely! Cot for baby too.

All inclusive - never waited more than 2 minutes for a drink, good selection of soft drinks and alcohol. Includes ice creams too which is great for the kids.

Pool - big pool with loads of sun beds, never had to fight for a space (we did go end of September so not sure if different in peak summer) our little one loved the little splash park.

Cons!!

Check in: 2 buses arrived at the same time so check in was at least 45 minutes long, no one extra on desk to help busy period. If your room isn’t ready, it’s 6€ per suitcase for a locker (people just leave them outside in the hallway to save paying).

Food: worst part of the holiday was definitely the food, by day 3 we couldn’t stand the smell of it and had to eat out for the rest of the holiday. They try their best with different themed nights (tacos on Mexican night etc) but very small choice of food which the majority consisted of chicken nuggets, chips, burgers, etc- not what you want to be eating every lunch & dinner for a week. Was happy to get home to have a vegetable.

Rooms: even though the cleaners cleaned daily, not once was the bed sheets changed (I’m sure if you asked they’d do it as the staff were really lovely)

Lifts: only two very small lifts and one kept breaking down so had everyone trying to get into the one lift which wasn’t ideal for a pram - especially at lunch / dinner times you’d have to wait ages for the lift.

Cleanliness: public toilets weren’t great - met a friend and she told us the one night there was poo rubbed over all the walls in the women’s toilets ???

Overall - wouldn’t go all inclusive again as so close to everything and restaurants can be so cheap (especially laurel Hardy’s which is a must!!!) perfect location for first holiday away with a little one.

Stayed here for 4 nights...calling it a 4 star hotel is a joke...

Firstly...check in at 3pm..fine hotel policy
Secondly ... no fridge in the room given..

The elevators were not working for 2 of the 4 days we stayed..it was a pain to walk down from 7th floor to the first and the ground floor a few times with kids with us...

Room - compact...no fridge..we called reception then they provided us with one...not at all sound proof..could hear kids running in lobby..the AC was for namesake...I was sweating in the night.. Even a 3 star hotel provides with a kettle..some glasses and tea and coffee items along with at least 1 water bottle...here all we had was 4 paper cups given just once...I had to buy a glass for the kids

Pool area- I was baffled that they would not provide with pool towels....I mean seriously??

As a result there were kids running in the lobby area without being dried up adequately causing water on the floor...we even saw a man slip and fall near the lift on either 23rd or 22nd October. It was after he fell that one chef who was passing by put a caution sign there.

Staff- no smile...at all apart from a couple in the dinner service.

Food - buffet...not ready nor organised.not a single time in 4 days we could see the buffet fully stocked up for breakfast or dinner..

It was obvious that they were accommodating guest beyond their capacity and failing badly.

Never again to this hotel even if it is free

Just got back from 5 nights at marinada with a 2 year old. Great value for money brilliant location rooms are modern recently refurbished shower worked perfect there's a fridge in room , ac , and a nice balcony beds are comfortable and room was cleaned to a high standard. Staff work hard and are really friendly especially at the dinning area they was really good with my 2 year old food is decent nothing amazing but what I would of expected just enough choice for everyone snacks in the day by the pool burgers etc which are really good, pools are good and the water fountain features my 2 year old loved them they was installing a new play area / park while I was there so didn't get to use that because it wasn't ready but looks great. We stayed in the apartments across the road we will definitely be staying again we had a really good experience and really enjoyed our time here thank you to all the staff at Marinada we had a great time and can't wait to come back ♥️

Foyer and dining hall newly refurbished but rooms are dated and could do with a lick of paint. Relatively clean. Completely understaffed for number of guests. 1 person on the bar at all times. Entertainment lacking and pool overcrowded. Food choices extremely limited as is the all inclusive. Very disappointing family holiday. Spent most of it out of the hotel, eating out and visiting sights.

We visited your hotel on the 21st of June for a week with our 2 year on boy.
The staff were absolutely amazing very friendly and accommodating especially when our toddler was dancing with your staff on the stage.
This hotel is perfect for children with the splash area, park and pools you have.
Food was served all day and was always freshly cooked. The hotel was always clean.
The only thing that we felt was needed was better air conditioning in the rooms we went out and bought a fan as my little boy still struggle other than that we had no complaints. We would definitely come again
Beach is within walking distance with local buses to get you to the local theme parks
Big thank you from us to all your staff for the best 1st family holiday.

Just returned from staying here for a week with family. Need I say you get what you pay for. Our room was across the road in the apartment side room was tiny for 4 people. Now I'm a happy go lucky person and never bother putting a bad review I just get on and make the most of it but this place took the piss. The room was tiny, the bathroom light switch was handy from the wall. The beds are like bricks. The pillows if that's what you would call them absolutely awful. The hotel reception staff are the worst I've ever come across I mean just awful did the bear minimum. The pool was okay pool staff lovely. The breakfast was terrible. Even trying to get to the food was so unorganized so chaotic you couldn't move. People here don't smile and they stare. If you don't speak Spanish then don't come here! You will receive no respect none. Pretty close to everything that was good because the less time in this place the better. A very very odd experience. If you are an out going happy loving life love a good time smiling person then stay away from this place it will make you feel horrible! Worst place I've ever stayed and I would never ever recommend this place to anyone! Horrible. I love Spain always have but this place would turn you off holiday! Oh and the electricity went twice in the room. The room for 4 people that you couldn't swing a cat in. Seriously if you're an outgoing happy person STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

the rooms had everything you needed. on the 7th floor there was a beautiful view of the pool and the city.
the pool has good depth.
friendly waiters and staff.
parking costs 12 euros, safe. there are many cafes nearby

2 rooms were booked, which were supposed to have double beds. But one room had separate beds.
At the reception, they said that it was the manager's decision and it was impossible to influence it.
there are no fresh vegetables at breakfast.
it will be difficult for some cars to enter the parking lot.
Deposit of €5 for parking keys is not returned.

We stayed here in April for a football tournament and enjoyed the hotel,So decided to give it a go for August we stayed 4nights on a half board basis. Rooms are lovely and clean,great shower! Great air con and beds comfortable. The hotel was mainly full of Spanish but we liked that! All staff here are lovely,Polite,helpful. We found the food totally fine and was always something good to eat off the buffet. They had a different theme night on a evening. Pool bar food was good too and good prices as well as the drinks. They do a happy hour 4:30pm- 5:30pm. Lots of activities for children and adults during the day. Mini disco at night starts at 9:15pm Then entertainment started at 10pm. Good central location Would definitely stay again! The maids came in our room everyday and are constantly going around cleaning the hotel. There is a small arcade area,pool tables too. Small mini golf in grounds of hotel too.

We had a lovely stay as a couple in the Hotel Marinada. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had lots of selection and in general was very good for a three star hotel. The hotel is clean and designed nicely. There is lots of entertainment all day including mini golf, pool activities, magic shows, and an event every night. It is ideal for a family as there is a kids club, events all day, mini discos at night time. An example of the entertainment for adults was a Spanish flamingo dancer show and it was fabulous!!

The rooms are quite basic but the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom and shower were fine. The shower was warm everyday and there was lots of facilities such as soap, shampoo etc.

The cleaners are so kind. They greeted us everyday and always left the room spotless. The location is perfect! It is just outside the hustle and bustle of Salou and is a 5 minute walk to all amenities such as restaurants and shops. About 10-15 for the beach. We will definitely be back to Salou and would 100% revisit Hotel Marinada.

It is a great place for families. The pool facilities are perfect, and the overall vibe of the hotel is great.

I'm happy to see that it wasn't full of drunk English people, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

There are lots of things for kids to do, and the breakfast buffet was delicious.

Very clean.

Update:-

Second year of us going there now and it didn't disappoint.

Exactly the same as last time.

It's literally like this little, perfect oasis in the middle of Salou, void of all the drunken, idiocy that is usually found in the area, making it perfect for families.

This time, we had breakfast and dinner included, and the dinner was fantastic. Delicious, healthy options, everything fresh, and plenty of options for all.

I was surprised that the buffet changed every day, so it was never boring.
