HL Suite Nardos - Only Adults in Maspalomas

We arrived to discover it was not a suite hotel as expected. Our room consisted of 2 beds and a wardrobe. Complained to the management and was told that was a twin room that we had booked. Jet2 holidays also confirmed they did reserve any suites in the hotel, even though their 3rd room photo shows one exists. I asked why the hotel is called a suite hotel, was told that's what they called it. We had requested 2 single beds and found the sheets did not fit very well. Requested a chair to sit on in the room, and was told they did not have any. There were 2 plastic chairs and a table on the balcony, which looked out on to a main bus route. Will not return to this hotel.

Well in brief but to be explained after, this hotel is the worst we have ever stopped in by far and that's no exaggeration, there are a few major things that really let this hotel down, including rude behaviour from staff, to lack of understand causing guests alot of stress. No entertainment, all inclusive is the worst setup ever known in an inclusive hotel. Due to guests being so uncomfortable in the hotel they don't mix with anyone and keep themselves, it takes alot of work to eventually identify those who speak the same language as you and to then be able to have a laugh and joke.

Edit: after a rude member of staff pushed their way through the que for food to apparently move pizza around for some unknown reason instead of just bringing some more plates out. without any explanation or even identifying as a member of staff with a name badge and the same coloured shirt he wore a pink shirt with a bold head. Absolutely rude and then threatened with not being able to have any food. This is absolutely unprofessional behaviour and can not rate this hotel above a 1 star, seriously don't waste your time with this hotel, there's only 2 things that this place has to offer and that's drink and sun beds. Foods not up to scratch and most of the staff don't understand most of the holiday makers.

No entertainment at all except for rubbish evening entertainment that won't please many of the guests which also explains why the room for entertainment is too small and can't even hold a tenth of the hotel.

The rooms are litterally the best part of the hotel, we've got a great jacuzzi, however the beds are 2 singles so wasn't impressed about that, but you get a small kitchen with microwave, hobs and a fridge. The bathroom is a great size with plenty of pressure from the shower. You do not get any English channels so this deffinitly let's it down thankfully I bring a cable so I can connect my phone up to watch a few later night films before we get to sleep.

The restaurant, well this is a complete shambles. If there was an option to have all inclusive and not have any food included I would take this option. No matter what food your into you will not enjoy much they offer as many items are either under cooked or been reheated from an earlier meal and refried especially chicken products. Alot of the most basic food items like chips have a very odd gone off sort of taste and the dishes that they've tried to make fancy and nice well it just isn't working whatever they are doing as the flavours they are making are horrible. The choice of food is very limited it seems like they try to cover for vegan or vegetarians more so than the vast majority of us meat eaters. The only part we look forward to are the deserts as they are very tasty but I would assume they have been prepared by an external baker.

The pool bars are great however please note the staff may sometimes get your drink order incorrect, some staff are very friendly others not so much. The pool bars are on the top of the hotel and the bottom and they have got a nudest part at the top which is enclosed off for if your not into that, however if you look in that direction every now and again you may get a preview of someones private parts as the platform is raised.

Entertainment
The hotel does have free WiFi although the password that's in the rooms is slightly incorrect so you may have to speak to reception straight away to sort password out. There is a gym and spa, however lacks in entertainers. Guests basically have to make there own entertainment throughout the day, would be nice to have a funny character walking around organising drinking games and having a laugh also mixing with guests to try and introduce guests of similar languages to each other as its very hard to know who to talk too as there seems to be too many different languages all in a single hotel. And you tend to find everyone sits alone and doesn't mix with anyone.

All in all I would pay that kind of money for this hotel again when we could of gone on a cruise ship for the same price and had a lot more to offer.
