Had a lovely one night stay on a half-board basis. Although the dinner spread wasn’t extensive, the food was absolutely delicious. The breakfast was even better and really impressive with good variety and quality

The service was great, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. A special shout-out to Dinesh for his warm hospitality towards us locals

We stayed at Sun Siyam Pasikudah for 9 days and had the most amazing time! From the exciting excursions to the delicious food and exceptional service, everything exceeded our expectations

The kitchen chefs surprised us every day with delicious meals and desserts. The swimming pool was awesome as well as the ocean. We had the best time in a resort so far for us

A wonderful place with a great suport from the staf team. The stay was even more perfect for us because there were beside of us only 2 other couples by that time

The hotel is located on the Bentota coastline in Sri Lanka. The balcony offers ocean views, and the fine sandy beach is perfect for swimming and strolling

The only thing I was very satisfied with was the view. There is a private beach right outside the door

Instead of one large bed there were two small beds pushed together, the flower bed at the exit from the room to the street was full of trash and without flowers, unlike the neighboring flower beds.

Nearby, there are several other beaches just 10 minutes away by tuk-tuk, including Silent Beach (not so silent, but nice) and Goyambokka Beach. Very peaceful and ideal for a relaxing getaway

It would be great if the hotel could improve this in the future. 🦟 Mosquitoes: There were quite a lot of mosquitoes near the pool and in the lobby, and unfortunately, nothing seemed to help against them

The highlight however was not the décor or the pool (which has a built in jacuzzi!), it was the hospitality of the staff! Kavindu who was assisting our group was on spot to take down our meals and took us on an evening walk on the beach! Samantha the life guard was always vigilant while our twins and children were thoroughly enjoying the pool

He will go a long way in this industry ❤️ this hotel is definitely one to go too and not to missed out on. Our villa was clean, had our very own little pool on the patio which led onto the beach

We arrived at Amethyst Resort, Pasikuda, earlier than the check-in time, but the front desk staff warmly welcomed us and arranged for us to enjoy the pool and beach until our room was ready – such a thoughtful start to our stay

Seventeen of us travelling with Flamingo Lanka stayed at Amethyst Resort on 24th and 25th October 2025. Right in front of our room was the Pasikuda beach of white sand and turquoise blue waters of the ocean

On arrival, we were offered a tasty welcome drink. Baggage was delivered to our rooms and kept on the long-raised bench. The airconditioned bedroom, that included a fridge and a tv, was spacious and well furnished

The staff were exceptionally caring, professional, and helpful and attended to our smallest need. Our thanks also go to Thivanka who went out of his way to make sure we were well served, comfortable and contented

Loved our visit to this gorgeous hotel, from arrival to our leaving Uga Bay the team made us feel welcome and special everyday. The location is stunning with a fantastic beach and sea for swimming and beach walks

Swimming pool with infinity setting is spotless. Lots to do locally with trips locally or father afield with nature and history enchanting. The people really made the difference and will mean we return soon

Dilrukshi and her front of house team Prasanna, Nuwan and Keshwa gave us a warm welcome every day. Lalith and Nissankar in the restaurant made our food experience amazing along with head chef

Food was sublime, not the most variety we've seen but the the food was delicious. By lack of variety I mean, I am allergic to prawn so it cut down my food options

from the very first view (spectacular) as they open the gates, to everything else in the 24 hours we were there (too short!)

The swimming pool is beautiful, the gym is good, and the private beach is clean and well maintained, which made spending time outside extremely enjoyable. Our room was large, very clean, and beautifully designed

This hotel was perfect for us, the location is fantastic. It’s right on the beach front, beach beds, pool beds, surf equipment hire at your fingertips. The staff a really awesome, they even made a birthday cake for us

Our garden villa room was perfect, great size with AC, large bath room etc. easy reach to Galle and boat safari at cinnamon island. Definitely recommend this hotel

Right on the beach and the swimming pool is very comfortable and we had dinner one night which was excellent so definitely recommended but would request the management to work on the few details I have mentioned above

Exceptional stay! We had visited to celebrate our mother’s 60th birthday and it was a great decision to do in this hotel. The staff's warmth and hospitality made our visit memorable

We took a junior cottage, which was really beautiful, but the view which we expected to be uninterrupted ocean view was blocked by several cottages in the front so that was something we did not notice during booking

We stayed for 2 weeks in room 506 (more like a suite) on the top floor with a stunning beach view. Our room was kept scrupulously clean, well stocked with some lovely extras like bath robes and toothbrushes

Spent two glorious weeks in the hotel. Beautiful location on the beach. Room spacious well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities toiletries and hanging space for clothes

The room was cleaned daily to a good standard and towels etc replenished. It had a good laundry service too. The food was outstanding, well presented and lots of variety

The beach is accessible 24/7, and the constant sound of the sea waves creates a calming atmosphere that beautifully soothes the soul

My only suggestion here would be that the reception and outside verandah area is quite sparse and would benefit from some finishing touches such as plants and flowers (some did appear for a special event - The mixing of the Christmas cake - but were removed outside afterwards possibly due to the weather)

All the staff we met were extremely respectful friendly and helpful(catering to all requests nothing was ever to much bother) We will definitely be back and would highly recommend

I visited this place in 2012 and spent most of the mornings in the beach and later on in the pools. The people of this area are very friendly and helpful to the tourists

Sunbeds are few and they are prehistoric. The ocean is calm, waves are soft (not for surfing, swimming normal). Well, we have not stopped here. Is not implemented, the potential of the beach

Very good location in Unawatuna. Room is clean and nice view. It was good jacuzzi in washroom. Also restaurant was good. And you can play water sports near to beach ;)

The room is comfortably. Right on the beach. Pool was also good. The dinner was not bad but was not great. There are other places which offer much better food. The breakfast is much better. The service was overall good.

This was a very beautiful boutique hotel. We stayed in the top right hand suite in the main-house and wow it is truly superb. The staff are so friendly and professional and look after everyone and everything

This is a perfect colonial house that is both luxurious yet comfortable and elegant. The pool is huge and lovely and we swam regularly in the sea too. My daughter had the best surf straight out front

One thing I would describe Eraeliya it is unique & aesthetic, the owner has an eye for architecture and beauty each room is tastefully done. Love the manager, the front desk was so lovely and kind

Some of the best fish I’ve ever eaten was at Fish Point in Weligama. As basic a “restaurant” as it gets but perhaps the best meal of the holiday. The Erailya fish curry was a very close second

The pool was big enough to swim lengths and my son was chuffed that they had weights and an outside exercise area. We spent seven nights here and could happily have stayed 14

The local restaurant Silent Pup is great value and very good food however we loved the hotel curry sitting on our own balcony even more. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Whilst my room was perhaps a bit dated and not as spacious or with as many mod cons as other places I’ve stayed (that cost less), the setting of the room overlooking the sea and pool was amazing, and it was cosy for a single person

The beach directly outside is a bit rocky but there's a nice swimming beach called paradise a short ride away

Coco Tangalla is set in a beautiful location, in a little cove on the rocky shoreline. It is amazing listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore as you relax by the pool or enjoy the restaurant

Refreshing towel and welcome soda very nice, the building feels airy and beachy

This did make it a bit more awkward as I didn’t want to go out on my own after dark, so instead I chose to eat at the little cafe opposite the hotel one night, or at some of the beach restaurants after spending the day at the beach, but the food was much better at the hotel

Most days, I walked 8 minutes to the little beach by Turtle Landing/Crab Restaurant to enjoy some beach time - it’s not a long walk, but it could be a bit stressful as there’s no pavement, but it was vey convenient to have a lovely beach so nearby

What a start! Thanks to a Trip. com discount, we were able to book a superbly equipped apartment for 5 people at the Supun Arcade Residency – perfect for a relaxing first few days in Sri Lanka

The apartment truly had everything a traveler could wish for: its own kitchen, a large water tank, a refrigerator, and a washing machine! The breakfast buffet was delicious, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful

On top of that (in the truest sense of the word): a rooftop pool with a fantastic view and a lovely restaurant with really good food. We had a fantastic time and can only recommend it!

We stayed two nights in this fantastic resort. It is beautiful, has two very nice swimming pools and a fantastic beautiful beach. On the beach there is also a cozy restaurant where you can have a drink/eat

Lovely location, we had a smashing room, loved the beach, staff friendly and helpful. Downside was the food was poor - breakfast okay but dinner really disappointing. Would recommend eating outside the hotel

We enjoyed it and would stay there again next time. It is also very close to the beautiful Goyambokka beach which is also highly recommended to visit. If you go right after breakfast you will have that beach to yourself

I truly cannot put into words how wonderful our stay at Eva Lanka was. This place is incredibly special, and the family who runs it makes it even more so

To sit outside your cabana with nothing but sand between you and the Indian Ocean takes some beating We have been visiting Sri Lanka since 2004 and without doubt this is by far the best accommodation we have experienced

We had room 106, chosen for bed softness. They were all different so if this matters to you ask to see a view rooms and check beds. The staff were the best, very attentive, just lovely

The most relaxing beach side holiday ever! We stayed in the lovely Kurumba House within the Taru Villas Mawella complex , with direct access to the beach from the bottom of the garden
