It's not easy to get to the hotel - the last few kms are especially hairy but it's got amazing views. We spent two nights there and just walked around the property and enjoyed it. The food was decent but they got pretty muddled up with our group of 10 so food arrived in drubs and drabs and was often cold. The staff are very nice and helpful though and really try to make you happy.

It was good experience. Staff was helpful but the only thing which I really missed was fridge. I wasn’t able to keep my food or drinks. Otherwise everything else was good.

Room: The room is fully equipped and spacious, with an open view. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area. Plus, there's room service available, so you can still get food even if you arrive late. Facilities: There's a stunning 'heavenly' pool, and a chain coffee shop conveniently located next to the hotel. Service: The front desk staff are friendly and polite.

Service was good, people very friendly, but my TV did not work. I asked cleaner, he tried to fix it but couldn't, he called the maintenance team for me, but they never turned up.

Good hotel for a couple of days before or after a flight. Dinners and breakfasts are quite decent, with a good variety. There are shops and shopping centers nearby.

Wonderful place. Super Service all round. The hotel has an executive chef from Galle, who creates incredibly delicious dishes!! Great beach . However, sad to say although they have a lovely pool which they say is 38 meters in length one can swim only 19 meters after that it’s super shallow!! The hotel is simply amazing! The room is stylish, fresh, thought out to the smallest detail. The staff are really great: always smiling, attentive and ready to help. It's been a long time since we've disinfected the room, and there are all kinds of small bugs on the ceiling. People with trypophobia should be careful. But because the air conditioner in the original room was broken, we were given a suite, which made us happy.

The Pure Hellwind Hotel was a good choice for a one-night stay in Kulumbo.

Now I am in Bangladesh. Compared with Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka is so good. This hotel is very clean, close to the beach, and very quiet. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic.

This hotel is our first stop when we arrived in Sri Lanka. It's a pity that our flight arrived at night, so we felt the attentive service when we arrived at the hotel. I'm sure this was due to the effects of the hurricane that occurred a while ago, but the wifi and TV were not working, which was very inconvenient. I chose a hotel with wifi, so this was very disappointing. There was no discount to compensate for the inconvenience, and no services such as free breakfast were offered. I think they should have notified us in advance and allowed us to cancel.

The room is spacious, but the soundproofing is really bad. The backyard is connected to the road and there is music and car noise at night. If you have trouble sleeping, I don't recommend rooms 10-13. There is not much to eat around the hotel, and the restaurant has few dinner options, but the price is not very expensive.

We had a lovely two night stay. It’s a quiet hotel just off the beach. The staff were pleasant and we found the food to be good. The room was fine although the bathroom was oppressively hot as it was meant to have a feel of the outdoors with no air con. Our plunge pool was also in need of a little cleaning attention so we sadly didn’t use it. The main pool however was fine.
