Sea Salad Resort in Haad Yao

We had a nice bungalow with air conditioning for a reasonable price. Stayed 3 nights here before moving to Salad Beach Resort next door for another couple of nights. The bungalow here was basic which is acceptable for the amount we paid. A lot of mosquitoes in the toilet area but that's expected.

The restaurant here is one we enjoyed the most in Salad beach. Excellent food served here with reasonable island price. Best Pad Thai we had on the island. There were not many customers in the restaurant most of the time, so we had a very relaxing quiet time there. The staff was also accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed our time at Sea Salad.

These five stars are given for a variety of reasons. The hosts are kind hearted and welcoming. Their dog Be Mai is the sweetest pup! The bungalows have AC, which was appreciated in this intense April heat, and the location is well-situated near the beach. While we were in a quiet surrounding, we were also able to play our music loudly now and again (as few other guests were here due to low season).
The bungalow itself is basic and not the cleanest BUT the price, the delicious food, and the warm hospitality are the reason for these well-deserved five stars.
Also, we tried the panang, red, and green curries (very spicy, just as we asked) and it was some of THE best food I’ve had in my many trips to Thailand over the years. Enjoyed eggs and rice for breakfast too and the prices were very reasonable.
I’d stay here upon any return trip to Ko Phangan. Please note the pin on Google Maps isn’t accurate so see the photo for reference.
