Very nice villa to stay. Hakan was so friendly and helpful. He provided a map for the area with somethings highlighted and a large cooler bottle of drinking water. The pool was nice to cool off in. Great location. Close to fishing village and 7-11. We would stop there to bring back drinks to put in the fridge back at the villa. The only drawback, but not that big of a deal, is there is only air conditioning in the bedrooms. Otherwise it is a ceiling fan. We also went diving with Hakan a couple of days. So nice and patient with us. We are newly certified and these were our first dives after. Would love to dive with him again.

Had an amazing diving day with my 2 boys. Hakan managed to give us a great experience steering us towards the best underwater spots and marine life. We even managed to see a whale shark through Hakan’s skillful underwater navigation.

If you're interested in scuba diving while visiting Koh Samui, the Samui Diving Resort is a great option! I just returned from spending 10 days here and dove all but two days. Hakan is exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Exactly what you want in a dive guide/instructor. I couldn't be happier with the experience!

After researching the many diving shops on Koh Samui, I am so glad I booked Samui Diving Resort. I had got it down to 2 companies them and Discovery Divers, who interestingly were walking distance from where I was staying. The reason I went with Samui Diving Resort, despite them being on the opposite coast (only 10-15min drive with transfers included), was my wife only snorkels and he was able to get her on the same boat for a much better price. Hakkan, the owner provides a very personal service. He is full of energy and jokes. Speaks perfect English and German. His ethnic mix is a great story to hear. He and his wife own 3 villas at their resort, as well as organising dive and snorkelling trips. Email communication was easy. Transport well organised. Being a 1 man show (for the diving), he uses another dive companies boat, but this means he gets to choose the best boat to jump onto. We were on a twin hull, 1000hp powerboat which flew over the water and had no issues with waves or storm on the way back on day 2 of dives. This boat was 100% the best I saw over 2 days. Discovery Divers boat was the 2nd best. On my 2 days of diving I was 1:1 with Hakkan and on the 2nd day a couple were doing discovery diving with one of his guides. I am advised he always has very small intimate groups which is so much safer and better. I am a confident diver which meant we spent ages under. 45mins each on day 1 down to 30m and 60-85mins for day 2 down to 19m. However I am sure for less confident divers, his personal touch will leave you feeling very safe. I would 100% book with him again and sure the resort run by his wife would be a great place to stay.

A great place to visit Koh Samui, even a better one if you're a diver.
The bungalows are perfectly clean, very spacious and a 15 mn (idle) walk to the touristic Fisherman's Village and the beach.
Nana and Hakan, the hosts, are adorable and very helpful.
Hakan is a dive instructor and will take care of everything (pick-ups, gear etc). He and Steve, the other instructor, are very cheerful and yet very serious during the briefings and dives.
My wife and I would definitely stay there again if we come back to Samui.

Highly recommended. Customer centric, friendly staff and very good place for divers. The resort is very conveniently located to a walking distance to Fisherman Village. Amazing experience diving in sail rock with Hakan. We will come back!

I was in search of a dive shop for a 2 tank dive and this place did not disappoint! Hakan immediately responded to my request and after conversations he had a package set up for me. We had hotel pickup to the pier where we did the standard, but important, safety briefing. We then took a 1hr scenic speed boat ride to Sail Rock, the team had all the equipment, perfectly sized wetsuits, and fins ready to go as soon as we arrived. My dive master Steve was great, he maintained our safety while keeping it fun! The trip was effortless with planning thanks to Hakan and a successful dive trip thanks to Steve.

Samui Diving Resort was great! It's a great place if you're looking for the convenience of the accommodation packaged with scuba diving.Rooms were large and very clean. Beds were very comfortable and perfect after a long day of traveling. Location right in Fisherman's village makes it super convenient. We stayed here as part of a package that comes along with transport to and from airport, breakfast and 4 dives of scuba diving.

The best part was the people! They contacted us quickly when we requested info, as well as arranging the trip! While there, we had lots of cool conversations with John, who was always super helpful and as he was a diving instructor himself, was very informative. He gave us good recommendations for food and places to check out. It was always nice to come back from a day of diving and have a good chat with him. He was also very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of.

Our dive guide was Chris Holley, who was absolutely wonderful! She was fun and knowledgeable. We spent 5 days diving with her and enjoyed every minute of it! Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to dive in Samui and surroundings. Samui Diving Resort (Samui Dive Tribe) will definitely hook you up!

Though we didn't dive with Steffen, we spent a fair bit of driving time, boat time, and post dive hangout time with him. He was very friendly and also added to our overall enjoyment of our holiday.

John and Chris really made our trip special and not only were they a delight, they always put safety first! As relatively new divers, we really appreciated feeling like we could trust our safety.

The Thai staff that we met were always very helpful and friendly.

The only thing we may change when we return is request/arrange for more varied dive sites during our stay. We understand that this was challenging to do during low season and not necessarily within control of the resort (weather, boats, etc.)

It was good value and if we return to Koh Samui, we would stay there again.
