Samui Seabreeze Place in Lamai Beach

Owners are amazing, cannot do enough for you, one of the best hotels we have stayed at during our month of travelling Thailand, clean rooms comfy beds and good pool area, access to the beach with sunbeds provided for guests, where owners husband runs bungalows and restaurant and his also very helpful and friendly, would stay again and recommend to others

Good hotel, but the price is a bit high, because of this there are few visitors. Across the road is a hotel with a bungalow, the price is 2 times cheaper and there are a lot of people, it is not boring, the first line.
And here is a good pool, a standard room, I was on the 2nd floor with a view of the pool.
You need to go around to the beach, I tried to go straight, the owner of the hotel attacked me, shouted that this is his house and you can't do that, I had to be threatening and go anyway.
I really liked Lamai, a real resort place.

Really nice guy, he’s been here for over 40 years as it’s a family run business. He’s actually highly educated in law but chose to stay where his heart is.

This area is his private land and should be treated as such. Don’t just use it as your personal walk way, then be surprised and angry if he stops you. You wouldn’t do this at home in your homeland so don’t do it here in Thailand!! (In response to the two 1-star reviews I’ve seen here).

Speak to him like he’s the human he is, he’s extremely friendly, has great stories, generous and the food he cooks at his little restaurant by the beach is amazing. I couldn’t vote this place enough.

My meeting with him:

I was stopped by him when walking to the beach as well and have a brief discussion with him about it. Completely fine and understandable that he seemed tired about it. His points were all
Valid and he wasn’t rude once. It’s even more understandable when you realise he has to do this every day, multiple times a day, for over 40 years because foreigners just do whatever they want !

I came back in the afternoon to eat lunch at his restaurant as an apology, he was very happy to see me again, we talked for ages, he gave me a small free desert, lots of compliments and just like that we’re friends already. I’ve already decided to eat breakfast and lunch here for the rest of the month.

Honestly, just treat him with respect like you should be doing with everyone on this island and he’ll make your stay a great one.

I also spoke to the people staying at his bungalows, they all love it there and they all love him and his sister too, they come every year always back to him and no where else, it’s become a community for them now.

Each visit is a pleasure and I look forward to it again when I revisit too!

Have been staying at Seabreeze for 20 years. Piya, the owner, along with his his sister Honey are the friendliest and most gracious people on the island. The bungalows are comfy, beachside and cheap! You get exactly what you pay for - no issues. A lot of people complaining he is rude and stops people walking along. It’s his home aswell as his business. Also, he has plenty of signage directing people to access the beach by the public roads .. doesn’t deserve any of the one star reviews posted by said people who should maybe pay notice to the signs? Lovely stay as always this year! Thank you Piya!

Great Hotel and Location.

We stayed at Samui Seabreeze for 5 nights and loved it! It is a family-run business - the owners are so welcoming and helpful, they gave us advice on day trips to save money and organised a moped for us! The hotel’s restaurant on the beach is great for breakfast! The room was clean and comfortable!
