Overall, everything was great; the staff was friendly. The pool area was fantastic! The room itself was a bit tired, but everything worked and functioned. There were two major issues for us: the WiFi in our room was very poor. And on the balcony, it didn't work at all! The staff weren't helpful, even though they said we needed it for remote work. Second, we like to sit on the balcony in the evenings on vacation, but the air conditioning here is so loud it's impossible to talk. Maybe we were unlucky with the room we chose. Otherwise, no complaints.

Everything is a couple of minutes away, hotel has a shuttle bus to the beach. You can walk around the area at night for good food,stores and its safe.

Nice property with a great pool and lounge area. There are some great restaurants a short walk away which we really enjoyed.

Below Average. Located not too far from Karon Beach (maybe 15min walk - few min drive). The reception is on the second floor, with no lift (no info online about this) and no one helping with the luggage. Of course we were not expecting much from a 3*, but at least a hand to carry the suitcases. The rooms are very dated and definitely deserve some love (the pictures you see when booking are a bit enhanced). The bathroom was spacious but with a few random steps here and there. Shower curtain- dreadful! Toiletries provided. Breakfast I did not really understand if it was included or not! In the morning when I asked for breakfast I was pointed to go to a nearby place (located basically over the hotel) where they were only offering eggs pretty much and asked to pay 200 BHT per person (cash). Not expecting a large breakfast buffet but at least a bit of variety. We decided to check out after the first night and changed our itinerary. The price is fair - You basically get what you pay for: not much! Lastly the view: ample view on the surroundings, which include some houses, a petrol station and some shops! The beach is barely visible from the hotel. They offer scooters rental for a few hundred BHT.

Backing onto hillside up back of Karon, about 20 min walk to beachside; rooms either look over Karon or at the hillside. Rooms comfortable inc beds, with AC, fans, big fridge, kettle, balcony/terrace; low season you can do deals for longer term, economic anyway; stayed 6 weeks. Generally quiet and diverse types of guests, except the occasional slammed door and some guests using telephones in public areas &/ balconies after midnight, using speak phones...... You can have breakfast EUR5 8-11 at The Garage Mountainview Cafe nice view, then cafe menu and open till late afternoon or 20.00 latest. Nearby many good eateries (cheaper than beachside) & 7/11 nearby, pool bar till 20.00 and beers available at reception after (plus tours, washing & motor scooter rental).

This is a review for the budget room, the bus room, as it’s pretty much a different thing from the rest of the hotel. The concept of the room was quite interesting, cozy and comfortable, but not very well maintained. It was clean and the staff provided good care of us. If you book this room, keep in mind it becomes a sauna during the day. When we first got in we started sweating immediately. It is impossible to stay inside without the air conditioning. We had to separate the power card from the key to be able to leave the ac running pretty much the entire day so that it can be bearable during the evening. Also keep in mind that since the room is pretty much a container, there’s no soundproofing. The area around the buses is quiet, however if you get a loud neighbour you will hear absolutely eveything. Besides the room, the hotel and its facilities were decent. A really nice swimming pool and there’s also a free shuttle bus taking you to the beach at 10 in the morning, as it’s quite a long walk (around 20-25 minutes).

Writing this review on day 3/14 and we're already sold on Thailand/ Phuket/ the memory resort/ the room/ the food... Etc... etc... etc... if we had no responsibility back home, we'd stay. The hotel is in a jungle/ hillside location around 1 mile from the beach. It's low season, and not busy... At least it doesn't seem to be, as there's never more than 6 people at the pool. Karon beach is stunning... Breaker waves and warm water. The room is massive, king size bed, bath, shower, clean. Breakfast included, a choice of 5 items which are served by the nicest staff, in a stunning location with outstanding views. My wife just had her birthday here and room decoration, cake all organised by Nikolai the owner and Nancy the receptionist for the price of an eMail... There is no way this hotel can receive a bad review.... I feel like a paid promoter... I'm not. I have travelled a lot... The memory karon resort is a taste of paradise
