Hilton Garden Inn Phuket Bang Tao in Bang Tao

Reception didn't greet on a late and tiring arrival. Not friendly and just procedural.
We are "Asian sized", but Room is small,l Not enough space for 2 luggage and 2 adults. Washroom super small, amenities (toilet bowl, basin small)bare tightly packed. Water flow/pressure inconsistent, sudden cold sudden hot.
Room moldy and humid, disturbing smell. Flying insects and ants on pillow every night, wonder where it came in from. Water stains and not clean washroom.
AC no dehumidifying function, just blower, not helping the humidity issue.
Breakfast area not so spacious, Thai food ok. Western/pastries not good. View from rooftop mediocre, can't really see the sea or beach from here, only a construction site next door and the luxury resorts next door. However, location is near to town, walkable and there's complimentary shuttle tuk tuk provided at certain hours. Beach is not really walkable, a little far by foot but shuttle will take you there.
Gym is usable and clean, with a shower and changing room.
Not value for money.
We were the last batch of hotel guest as they're closed from 1st March 2026 for upgrading. Perhaps they'll improve some of the issue mentioned here once reopen.

The hotel is about half an hour from the airport, which makes getting to the airport much less stressful compared to staying in Patong or Karon. There's a dedicated shuttle service to the beach and commercial areas, which is very convenient. The restaurants nearby are also great!

Likely the Hilton closest to the airport. Arrived very late, and the front desk kindly granted a late check-out. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options.

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, and the rooftop pool is absolutely stunning. The hotel staff provide excellent service, and the breakfast spread is very generous. Plus, getting around the area from the hotel is super easy.

Very clean, and the breakfast was excellent with a great selection. The service was top-notch. The pool isn't huge, but it's absolutely stunning at sunset, creating a fantastic atmosphere.

The food was delicious, the hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the shuttle bus service was very convenient.

The service was very welcoming, and they offered a tuk-tuk shuttle to the beach. The beach itself was quiet with very fine sand, and the rooftop pool was also very clean!

Both are just a 10-15 minute walk (on flat ground), and there are convenience stores like 7/11 or Tops within a 5-minute walk. For longer trips, Bolt and Grab services are readily available. The tuk-tuk can drop you off near Villa Market, where you'll find a great selection of restaurants, bars, and shops, including the B2S shopping mall and a Friday night market at Boat Avenue.The beach near the hotel is incredible—clear, warm waters and soft sand make it perfect for a relaxing day. You’ll find high-end beach clubs, but also simple deckchairs for rent. Just remember to pack everything you need, as it’s a bit of a trek back to the hotel. Don’t worry, though, the hotel provides a pick-up schedule for the beach.For fitness enthusiasts, there’s a well-equipped gym on the 2nd floor, just above reception.This hotel is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy great service, and explore the surrounding area.
