Stayed at Holiday Inn Surin Beach and honestly… pure tropical peace
Clean rooms, friendly staff, and just a short walk to one of Phuket’s prettiest beaches. Would come back

It was one of the worst stays. The rooms are old, moldy and overall a very unpleasant experience. There were stain on the bedsheet and also silverfish near the bed. The edges of the bed were cracked and had dust falling onto the pillows too.

Overall, it was unpleasant and I t was way below the standard maintained by an IHG Holiday Inn hotel.

Though they were nice enough to upgrade me to a suite, I insisted on the refund because I wasn’t very happy with the hotel overall.

But fair enough, they had the right to refuse my refund request.

The room was very clean, but the bed was a bit saggy. The shower pressure wasn't great. We stayed in a suite, and the air conditioning in the bedroom was too noisy, so we turned it off while sleeping and used the living room's AC instead. We checked in after 10 PM, and the front desk staff was very welcoming, offering us a welcome drink. The check-in process was smooth. The breakfast was also excellent; it changed daily during our 6-day stay. Since our child was small, their breakfast was included at no extra charge. The main advantage is that the hotel is very conveniently located near the beach and the environment is quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderfull and beautiful hotel. The ambience and experience on top notch. Greet by the Thailand hospitality during checked in.

Most important, the breakfast is halal certified. Muslims most welcome to the hotels.

5 minutes walking to the beach and worth it for the beautiful Surin Beach.

3 minutes walking to 7-11 and Massages centres. On your left and your right.

In front of hotel have taxi station. Can use Grab or Bolt if you want.

The room is refurbished and clean. Got kids club, slides abd foam party.

My family had a wonderful holiday here.

The hotel facilities are a bit dated, but the entire resort's tropical landscaping is very well-designed and spacious, with plenty of recreational areas that the kids loved. The sinks, showers, and toilets all drained smoothly; we didn't encounter the common problems often found in older hotels. For the soaring hotel prices in Phuket, this place offers pretty good value for money. If you turn right out of the hotel, there's a 7-Eleven about 200 meters away, and just a bit further past the 7-Eleven, there's a restaurant on the second floor called Surin Beach Restaurant, which serves decent food. It's only a 5-minute walk from the hotel to Surin Beach. On the far left of the beach, there's a semi-developed natural path. If you follow the signs and climb over the rocks for 15 minutes, you can reach Lion's Head Beach, which has even more beautiful scenery. You can see schools of colorful small fish and sardines without even needing to go on a boat trip.

We stayed for two nights and had a mixed experience. On the plus side, the rooms are huge and comfortable, and the staff are incredibly helpful. The real highlight for our family was the children’s club and the all-day activities—our kids absolutely loved it there.

However, the hotel is let down by a few things. The pool area desperately needs refurbishing, with many broken tiles. Cleanliness was also an issue; we noticed dust on the TV and plates left outside rooms for long periods. Breakfast was disappointing, particularly the awful coffee and the egg and noodle stations.

Great for kids, but the facilities need attention.

A great hotel in a fantastic family-friendly area of Phuket. The beach is just across the road, which made it really convenient, and the hotel pool was excellent for kids. The daily buffet breakfast was also a big bonus with plenty of variety to start the day.

Cons: Our main issue was the bathroom, which had a bad smell each day and could use better maintenance.

Overall: A comfortable, family-oriented stay in a great location. Despite the bathroom issue, we still enjoyed our time and would recommend it for families visiting Phuket.

We loved this hotel! Came here from USA with family of 4, 2 small kids. The staff are WONDERFUL, so nice and accommodating. They go out of their way to ensure you have a good experience. There are so many activities for kids, our kids are 4 and 3 and they had so much fun. Hotel is in a good location not too chaotic and across the street from the beach. Highly recommend! The F&B manager and hostess Kob are fantastic!

The facilities are unbelievably outdated, haha. I initially didn't believe the reviews about the worn-out decor, and now I'm just speechless. This room would go for 200-300 RMB domestically, but I paid 1400 RMB for one night. The hot water didn't work and needed repairs, the phone was out of order, and even the card reader for the door was rusted, so only I could get the door open. My elderly family members couldn't even manage it, it was ridiculous. When I told the front desk about the hot water, they said they'd sent someone, offering a very insincere 'sorry.' And the air conditioning noise at night was just… wow. The hotel's only selling point is the pool, but the water probably hadn't been changed in a while because my child had an allergic reaction. Maybe our kid is just delicate; other foreign children seemed to play in the water fine. The front desk staff were all very nice, always smiling, but completely helpless. Breakfast was okay, not great, not terrible, but definitely not worth the price. For fruit, they only had watermelon, cantaloupe, and dragon fruit – no other tropical fruits, not even a banana or pineapple. You had to make your own noodles, which… I understand prices are higher during peak season, but this experience was really bad. I originally booked based on the IHG brand reputation, but now I feel it's a huge letdown. My advice to everyone is to check the real-life guest photos, haha.

Two adults and one child, we booked a suite and the room was very spacious. The hotel has a pool and a slide, which was a lot of fun! The breakfast selection was quite rich, with Thai noodles, Western breakfast options, and Indian curry. Getting to the beach was super convenient, right outside the hotel. There are also convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
