Ocean Rock Kalim in Patong

Wonderful hotel! We were absolutely delighted! We even posted video reviews on VK, RuTube, and YouTube because we couldn't find any decent reviews for this amazing hotel. You should definitely check them out, as the description and photos don't do this beautiful place justice.

The location is convenient for both pedestrians and those using any form of transport. There's an uphill climb, but it's gradual. Downhill, you'll immediately find the beach, and in the evenings, there's a market-like setup along the road and beach. Nearby, there's a massage parlor and a 7/11.

Room service is excellent. Housekeeping every day, always spotless. Toiletries are provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, shaving kit), and the hairdryer is large and powerful. The mini-bar is well-stocked with a good variety, and prices are reasonable.

The mattress and pillows are very comfortable. One pillow is soft, the other firmer. The bed linen is high quality. Flip-flop slippers are provided, along with two umbrellas. Towels seemed to be changed daily, or at least they were always fresh!

The pool isn't huge, but it's lovely. The water is soft and warm. The granite tiles throughout the hotel retain heat well, which keeps the floors warm and the pool toasty. You do have to wait a bit for hot water in the shower, but the pressure is good 👍.

There's a large 65-inch TV on a swivel bracket, so you can even watch it from the balcony while lounging in the sun 🌞. However, there's only one. The bedrooms have mirrors.

The view is magnificent, panoramic! But you can't see the sunset. Maybe from a different room, I can't say for sure. But you can't see it from the pool either ((

A beautiful, cozy spot, like a little grotto! Birds singing, sun warming you. We highly recommend it to everyone.

Pros: Panoramic views of the entire bay. The sun hits the balcony area all day, from 8 am until sunset. Comfortable beds. There's a Bluetooth speaker (if it's not working, charge it!). There's a retractable awning if the sun is too much but you still want fresh air. Two powerful fans! Air conditioners are non-intrusive. A good mini-bar. Grab delivery also comes here. The uphill walk from the beach to the hotel isn't too steep, quite walkable (1.1 km). Below, there's someone's farm where you can see cows and elephants roaming freely. It's interesting to watch, though a bit far. There's a zipline about 200 meters uphill from the hotel. In the pool area, there's a mini-bar with a fridge, a sink, a grill, and a stove.

Cons: No sunset view. No curtains in the main common area. The spouts on the liquid soap dispensers sometimes fall out. You have to wait for hot water. Occasional internet outages, and the signal can be weak. Our fridge had a terrible dent that was an eyesore, so we covered it with a magnet.

The hotel is a bit tired. The minibar is very convenient and reasonably priced. The view is gorgeous. The communal pool is perfect.

I stayed in B2 for the first two days and C1 for the last night. Compared to B2, the living room in C1 was slightly smaller (though still quite spacious). Both bedrooms and the living room directly faced the sea, so you could see the ocean from the bed. The entire apartment was over 200 square meters, with a terrace of about 150 square meters, making it very comfortable. Compared to other hotels, it offered excellent value for money. Getting to Patong city center is easy with a Grab taxi, taking only about ten minutes. All the hotel staff we encountered were incredibly helpful, proactively offering assistance with everything from carrying our luggage to helping us change rooms when we were traveling, and even assisting with communication with taxi drivers. A highly recommended hotel!

It's a pity we didn't get to experience the swimming pool, but the environment, facilities, and water quality are all well worth five stars. The balcony has a beautiful view, and the room is large enough for a long stay, with room for cooking. There weren't many mosquitoes or other strange creatures. Aside from the location being a bit hard to find—it's almost impossible to get in and out without a taxi—it's perfect! (It would be even better if the TV could be screen-cast.)

Everything is wonderful

It was excellent. I haven't stayed in such a nice hotel in a long time. The service was also very good; they proactively helped with my luggage. The room was cleaned daily, and the environment was superb.

The overall feeling is very good. This hotel fully met my needs. The room was clean and the air conditioning was cold enough, which are the basic requirements. Most importantly the shower had enough water pressure without being a sluggish run and a very good hair dryer which was very lady friendly.

The staff's service is more like a butler's, able to communicate one-on-one, care about our needs and arrange check-in and check-out times. Although it does not provide 24-hour service like other hotels, you can contact them via WhatsApp and the response is very fast. I am especially grateful to this hotel in Phuket because I requested a late check-out and the manager quickly arranged a later departure time for us so that we could take our time to pack our luggage.

The only thing to note is that this hotel does not have an elevator. Although the staff will help with luggage, it is a bit lacking for a hotel. The hotel is located just opposite the Sunset Restaurant. At sunset, there will be a lively market below with many delicious foods to choose from. But be aware that there may not be parking spaces.

We had a wonderful stay!

It was a 2-bedroom hotel with a shower and toilet in each room.

The rooms were very spacious and the balconies were also large, with a great view of the ocean and a wonderful sense of openness.

The rooms were also clean!

Maybe because it's on top of a mountain, it was well ventilated and felt cool.
You can also spend a relaxing time by the pool while looking out at the beautiful ocean.

There is no restaurant, so you will need to take a taxi or rent a car.

Next time I'd like to stay longer!

Amazing stay with this beautiful hotel .The room is huge. can sleep 2+1 as sofa is very comfortable too. The view to paying beach is magnificient. The location is a little far from city , need to grab everytime but fair enough cause you will have quiet moments with friends. During our stay, rain pours but it become a nice moments to enjoy at the balcony at night and breakfast with nice view.
