Praew Mansion in Kamala

We booked this thinking it would be a basic clean guesthouse for three days . I had read a few reviews saying it was a bit noisy so I sent a message asking for a quiet room . Also on check in asked again to be told no you are at the front . Deluxe Double . On first inspection looked clean , a fridge , no kettle but wasn’t expecting a lot just somewhere to sleep . Balcony overlooks a dual carriageway which is the main road and is busy . The patio doors during the day felt like they gave some noise protection even though didn’t lock , and it was interesting sitting on the stained patio chairs watching world go by . No hot water in shower at most Luke warm . Returned to the room at 11 pm OMG like been front of the stage at a rock concert , music so loud , we were about 10 m from the bar . The live music finished at 12.00 , great we thought but the music then carried on till 2.15 am . Then the traffic noise at night was again loud , motorbikes speeding up and down . Traffic lightens around 3.30 am till 6.00 am when they all start to go to work . Also the mattress very cheap and uncomfortable . No idea why but decided to try another night exactly the same . We didn’t really sleep for two days except on the beach . Checked out a day early to be told “ you should have told me “ we did twice . So just be warned it’s very noisy and very basic

The hotel itself is old. It looks terrible. Everything inside needs to be updated. Now everything is in order:
1. The towels were old. They may be clean but full of holes.
2. The bed may have been clean. But I found hair on it and all the bed linen was stained.
3. The water in the bottle was opened.
4. The jars of shower gel were half empty. Apparently all the remains were collected.
5. The mattress rolls up into a boat. Well it's still tolerable
6. The toilet tank leaks when flushed. The shelf is wobbly. The mirror looks like it's moldy.
7. And of course sleepless nights. There was a bar next to our room. On the second night we went there. By the way, the bar is not bad. Compared to the hotel 😀

Pros:
1. good WiFi
2. Smart TV with access to YouTube
3. While we were walking, they cleaned up our place. And they brought another bottle of water.
4. There is a waterfall nearby
