Baan Pron Phateep in Patong

The location is convenient in Patong, close to Bangla Road and a 10-15-minute walk to Jungceylon. The beach is close, across the road, and if you arrive in the morning, it's relatively clean for Patong. The hotel offers practically new motorbikes for rent, which was nice and convenient. Breakfast is a la carte, so my husband, who usually eats a lot for breakfast, didn't have enough food. He ordered a couple of pieces of toast (a croissant is no longer allowed), so he ordered a yogurt (he couldn't have a second one). We liked the tree-lined courtyard, always shady and cool. The hotel itself felt like a sanatorium for the elderly, as we were the only young people we saw during our stay. The room was okay in size, but the shower was rusty and the shower head didn't come out, as if it were welded to the handle (room C37). The blanket was a strange story altogether: I haven't seen such tattered things in a long time: it was some old blanket/bedspread wrapped in a sheet (not even a duvet cover!). Not to mention the pillows were placed at the headboard because they were covering the scratched headboard underneath. And the king-size bed was actually two beds pushed together, sliding apart. The cleaning lady was nice, but not all the staff were. There were no disposable toothbrushes or toothpaste in the room, and no slippers. The Wi-Fi was terrible, practically nonexistent; we used our own router with a local SIM card.

This hotel is a haven of peace and comfort amidst the constant partying. It's a 5-minute walk to Bangla or central Patong. Along the way, there are parks with good food stalls, cocktails, pancakes, ice cream—whatever you want. The hotel itself is a bit tired, the furniture needs refurbishment, and there's a bit of mold in the bathroom, but I'd still stay here next time. The location is really great. I hung out at Bangla, returned to the quiet and cozy hotel, rested, and then went on my way.

I really liked the hotel. The sea is nearby, everything is within walking distance. Cleaning is every day.

Everything is close by. I'm deducting one point for cleanliness because there were ants in the room, but otherwise, the cleaning is top-notch. Breakfast is a la carte, repetitive, but you won't go hungry.

Great location! 3 minutes to the beach. Unfortunately, we were there during the rainy season. The advantage: the hotel wasn't fully booked and it was quiet. The disadvantage: it rained for a few hours every day.
