One of the best 3-star hotels in a prime location. We only had a problem with the shower head upon arrival, which was quickly resolved. Many thanks for that. The location is the best for Chaweng Beach! The Ark Bar is inaudible and just a short walk away. Only the airplanes are noisy, but I can live with that for this room and its view.

We needed a hotel close to the Krung Thep Apiwat Train station and picked this one based on other guest reviews plus the location and we were positively surprised by the high standard, friendly staff and very comfortable beds. Stayed here at Star 3 residence for a nights rest. Hotel was nice and clean, room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast wasn’t good for me as I eat halal food most of it is pork (I was good on egg on toast and a cuppa). Near hotel there are markets 7 11, barber/hair salons, and massage parlours. Good location next to the Star Market for fresh and ready-to-eat foods. The night market is just 100 m. distance. In the lobby, there is a nice coffee machine with various menus. Food delivery is super easy and super delicious with a very cheap price. Recommended for all.

The best things about this hotel are its walking distance to the beach and the rooftop pool. My previous stay was good, but this time it was awful – the elevator was broken, the towels were torn, and the pool no longer provided towels. Aside from the beach access and the rooftop pool, there's really nothing positive to say. I definitely won't be staying here again.

Been staying at the hotel multiple times. The location is very convenient, the reception staff is always helpful. But i think it's time to invest in renovation, since now some room elements are quite dated. Also the bedsheets are often stained. I've left tips for the housekeeping, but they didn't care to change bedsheets

I stayed at this hotel in 2015 and came back again this year. The price has gone up significantly, but the hotel is still [Kaiyangziw - assuming this is a proper noun or a specific room type/feature, otherwise needs clarification].

Clean and tidy. The wooden room has a vintage feel, but it's very comfortable.

Overall are not bad, just the room light are too dim and air con not cool enough.

Location is not central or close to inner CBD, but not outside of town. It’s an old hotel with stairs from the parking lot. There is no undercover drop off. Not ideal when it rains.

My only small complaint is that the staff forgot to provide bottled water, so we had to go down to the front desk to ask for a large bottle for the two of us. As a budget hotel, the price is very reasonable and a good deal. The room is small and the beach is not ideal for swimming as it’s quite dirty, but it’s good to take pictures and the swimming pool in the hotel is clean though not so big, offers a good alternative for a relaxing vacation. The hotel offers BBQ dinner at the beachfront for a very good price, highly recommend!

The rooms were simple, yet clean and comfortable. The gym was solid and the pool are was nice, especially the beach in front of the pool. Location was also great since it was right in between one of the most famous beaches and the centre.

I mean it's an alright place. It's in a city, you have access to a lot of stuff, rooms are okay but no-where near as advertised online really does feel like a 2-3 star hotel. The building is extremely old and poorly maintained, with visible damage everywhere. The room had a constant damp and musty smell. The bed, pillows, and sheets also smelled heavily of humidity, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. We chose this hotel because of its location and the positive reviews, but unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience for us.

Excellent location, comfortable bed, but very dated furniture and amenities. There’s a lot of potential here, and in the off-season the price is definitely very reasonable. I would stay again if the price is right, and if the price was too inflated, I would look elsewhere. However, keep in mind that it is still very close to everything, but it is in a very quiet location. 

The resort is clean and cozy. The staffs are mostly friendly and approachable. I believe it’s the best location for me as I can go to the beach on one end and the other end I can go straight easily to the Mall. Location is quite convenient and it was not hard to get a grab at all. Breakfast selection was great with a great view.

Friends, hello everyone, my wife and I vacationed in mid-March, we really liked everything, friendly staff, nice beach, clean Coastline, few tourists, location of 10 9, there is nothing nearby, not even a store, you need to either go on bikes or, well, tuk-tuk, we really liked the sea! We were in the villa for 10 days, experienced different weather and time of day) a place of indescribable beauty!

A very good hotel in a stunningly beautiful location. Quiet beach, not many people, cozy houses, friendly staff. One of the nuances is that the cuisine is not the strongest when compared with other places on the island. There is a shop with everything you need.

The best hotel in Thailand. We suffered for the first 3 night in another hotel on Phi Phi and we couldn’t sleep coz of the loud noises from the beach parties but then we moved to U Rip and it was th best decision ever - clean, new, SILENCE, nice pool and great area far from the parties. But still accessible coz it is like 15 min walk. Totally recommend especially if you are a light sleeper 👌

For the price the room is not bad, the location is a little far from the night market. Our rooms was in mountains a bit, if you are young in not difficult to live there. But was a lot of mosquitoes in the night cause was mountainous area, but the problems wasn’t the mosquitoes but drunk Russians couples who was till the morning fighting.

The location is decent, about 3-4 kilometers from a few popular shopping malls, and it's convenient to get to the airport by subway right outside. The room doesn't come with slippers or a dental kit, so you'll need to bring your own. Also, there's a 500 Thai Baht deposit per day required upon check-in, payable only by cash or card.
