3 star hotels in Thailand

We tried to like it, but it was a bit hard. We had some uncomfortable experiences, one of them, a staff entering our room with no knock on the door, and no warning from the reception. He just locked himself in…. Very uncomfortable, my partner was in the shower??? What hotel does that.

Really great hotel, the sea is just 5 meters from the room. The breakfast is delicious and always varied. Housekeeping is good and they provide water for the room. We were happy with the price, 5000 rubles per night. The beach is fantastic, clean, and spacious.

We stayed at another resort on the beach but found everyday breakfast here during our two weeks excellent. 150 B per person buffet breakfast eat all you want. Great coffee and juices aswell. Mama Tim treated as like a true mother and her friendly staff were amazing and absolutely loveable. Great views from the tables, in fact nothing to complain about as we had looked at other eateries on the beach...

We were welcomed (or should I say unwelcome) to an extremely rude lady who struggled to find our booking for a good half an hour. We provided her with all necessary details (passports, booking numbers etc.) and did not receive even one apology for the delay in checking us in. We have since read the reviews to find our experience wasn’t at all unique! There are so many beautiful places to stay along...

We did not get the room we booked at first. However we did get cheap upgrade to a great bungalow with a nice view. The restaurant was not good at all and the breakfast service was poor. Customer service was poor.

All good, friendly staff and helpful

Just came here for lunch, this was our stop during one of the tours. The food was buffet styled and pretty good. They had a bunch of different soup, rice, noodles, pad thai bar, etc. Lots of different selection and I think the food tasted pretty nice. Looks like the hotel might be a different story but the food was nice!

Very Nice amd calm place for greenie and river view, good for relaxing and also meditation. Spacius room with basic amenities. Great pool by the river. Good local food during lunch time. Great hospitality and service. Also have a good massage with reasonable price as well.

Comfortable, carpeted room, decent enough breakfast, big, old feel, staff changed the price on us by 100 baht after handing over the money, so we asked to take it back and booked online there and then for cheaper.

Nice authentic thai food and fairly priced. This hotel have lots of greens around, a river nearby and nice swimming pool. Staff speaks English.

This is a perfect place to spend your afternoon and evening for an outdoor meals. It serves you a good wine and beautiful scenery of Chiang Rai. Indeed, poolside dinner is always amazing?

Riverside setting, with old growth trees and gardens, which aligned with the large bedrooms, overcomes the somewhat jaded state of this relatively old resort hotel.

This was my first time on Koh Samui, and my first stay at this hotel was from December 25th-31st, 2025. The view was magnificent, there was a pool, and massages on site were incredibly affordable. The sea was clean, the staff were superb, and Wi-Fi was available throughout the property. I returned here from January 4th-6th, 2026, and was even more impressed, having experienced other areas and hotels...

The hotel is on the 1st line, the sea is a minute away. There is a cafe, money exchange, travel agencies, laundry, bike rental, massage parlor nearby. The room is cleaned every day, I recommend the bungalow, the breakfasts are good. Of the minuses, the air conditioner is very noisy, there is no safe, hair dryer.

The residence has a nice pool and if you ride a Moto the beaches are just 15 minutes away.

We stayed at this hotel in 2019 and decided to return in 2025. The rooms are still just as spacious and clean. Housekeeping, bottled water, and fresh towels and linens are provided daily. The pool is clean. Nearby, there are cafes, a laundry service, 7/11, and massage parlors. You can also rent scooters directly from the hotel. It's a 5-15 minute ride to the beaches by transport.

Nothing spectacular but fine. Clean and comfortable. The pool was nice and refreshing. Easy walk to the pier and lots of restaurants.

The room was very clean and had a small balcony. The service was also great. I'll definitely stay here again next time I come to Phuket for diving.

This was my second time staying here. The first time was mediocre, this time was terrible. For my second stay, I was shown three rooms before I settled on one. This is a nice resort in the bustling streets of Phi Phi. If budget and access to the island streets is your priority then this a good resort. They have decent breakfast options. The room layout is confusing. If you are old people with knee issues then the beds are lower to the floor. If you reach the resort after 5pm they don't have staff to help you with the luggage.

The showerhead was broken, and there was no toothbrush. The location is pretty good, and the hotel staff helped with our luggage.

This is a wonderful resort located in the middle of Ton Sai Bay on Koh Phi Phi. The location is perfect, close to a lot of famous cafes and restaurants. The rooms are modern with a vintage touch. Our room had direct access to the pool which was super nice. The pool itself is large with a bar in the middle, with some seats inside the pool. It was alright. The bathroom was pretty basic, and showering wasn't very convenient. The soundproofing in the room was decent, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was also good, but the only downside was that it was on a high floor with no elevator.

Very good value, service and location. 5 minutes away from BTS On Nut station. 7-Eleven at the front, and everything else you need at the BTS station. Service is always convenient, flexible and kind. Highly recommended.

Great service, clean and quiet room. It's a really nice place overall, my only complaint is that there isn't a 7-Eleven nearby, which makes it a bit inconvenient for buying things. Otherwise, everything else is really good.

The hotel has a very beautiful lobby and setting. The doormen are active and have positive attitude. It is just opposite the Patpong Night Market and is very convenient for everything. However, from my experience, sorry to say it is not a 5 stars hotel. The entrance of the hotel to check in area has 2 levels of mezzanine with steps. However there have no ramp for trolley luggage. Great place to stay in the old district of the city plus good location close to the BTS and markets.

The room is very spacious, but the hotel is quite old and feels a bit creepy at night.

I stayed at this hotel three times during my trip to Thailand, and it quickly became a favorite. It has a unique charm and peculiar atmosphere that make it stand out. When I return to Bangkok, this will be the first place I think of.

If you want a quiet hotel, don’t stay here. Ridiculously noisy. Cleaning staff very loud, they have those stupid walkie talkies that are so loud. Other guests slamming there doors at 2-3am.

Best resort in Khao lak. Nway is so responsive and helpful she is the best person at Khao Lak ensuring the property runs smoothly.

A good resort with beautiful view and lot of space. As it's the corner most one, the beach almost feels like private . The rooms are pretty big with balcony. The also have different kind of stay options with cottages on beach aswell. The resturant was not opened when we visited. For food you have to walk till then centre which is 30mins away. They also do not provide free water.

Really liked the room’s view (attached pictures), room comfort and proximity to a beautiful beach. Room for improvement: the restaurant/ breakfast is quite lame (specially Cappuccino, they charged it as a proper one, but it’s Nescafe powder coffee with milk powder).

Not bad hotel, only the airconditioning is not very strong, so the room was quite hot. And not super clean. But you get what you pay for. It's cheap so dont expect super cleanliness. 

The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. I was happy with my room, it was clean and organized. They have an elevator so you don’t have to stress about climbing stairs with you luggage. The hotel is close to restaurants, pharmacies and it’s near to the beach. I enjoyed my stay.

This was not good. Chose it because it had a balcony showing outside views on the listing. The balcony was inside the building and opposite rooms look right into your room!!! Avoid this hotel.

I stayed here for a 2-night holiday. The location is not far from the sea. On the first night, the air conditioner was dripping water, but it was quickly resolved by the staff. I received good service.

The room despite the hustle area is super quiet and clean, and the swimming pool was great and clean. Staff are really helping. The washroom was neat but small containing soap, shampoo and body wash. Stay is money saving as breakfast was good and had options for vegetarian and Halal food seekers. I would definitely consider this hotel on my list in future as well.

Our room was on the third floor and we had the ocean view. The room was clean and the A/C worked great. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was the best that we had during our entire trip. The hotel is in the bar area and music can be heard during the night, but not enough to keep us awake.

Loved this rustic resort. The beach was private with white sand, suitable balance of sun and shade as well as being close to the bar. We booked the best room in the resort and it didn’t disappoint. A very nice hotel located outside the main center, but accessible both on foot (25 minutes) and by taxi boat (300 baht return). The hotel also provides a scheduled shuttle service (not many). We stayed in room D1, which I recommend, as it faces the sea. The restaurant is very good. There's also an off-site massage center on the beach with very reasonable prices (400 or 500 baht for one hour).

Recommend if you want a jungle vibe far from centre. Bring repellents and water shoes. Fantastic details and woodwork across the Resort and rooms. Cheapest bungalow is really small - consider upgrading if you plan to stay for longer than 1-2 days. Surprisingly - best breakfast across all other (5* too) hotels during our trip!

The location is convenient. There is an exchange boot right next to the entrance. The room was alright, you can partially see the ocean. But room needs an update. The price was one of the cheapest considering it located right across the beach. There is a pool on the roof. Service is good.

Lovely hotel on the beach. Small pool but sunbeds on the beach. Far enough away from the really busy part of the strip but only 5 minutes walk to get there. Lots of bars and restaurants close by. Taxi rank and 7/11 practically opposite which was very handy. Would definitely staff there again if we returned to the area.

Hotel is under construction with loud noise throughout the day which the hotel says is limited between 9-5. However, it often runs past this time. You cannot escape the noise in your room or by the pool. They only made us aware of the construction the night before our stay. Avoid until the work is done.

The room was very neat and very spacious for 2 including a good broad balcony. The staffs were friendly and helped us book our snorkeling tours along with our return ticket from koh tao to surat thani airport. Also they have free shuttle to and from the pier which is very helpful. They have a good breakfast buffet as well 😋

A very pleasant hotel, was a holiday on holiday kind of feel. Staff were excellent. Location fab. Negative - a very dangerous, unusable treadmill was still allowed to be used by guests in the gym. Belt needs to be tensioned or replaced. Should have been decommissioned.

Place is comfortable and near the ferry and shops. Service is great. Price is over the top for the condition it is in, definitely need a good update to the furnishings, bathroom, swimming pool, a good area on the beach to enjoy the warmth and sun.
