Siam Swana in Bangkok

Hotel was fine if you aren’t spending any time there. Not that close to many main attractions, pool was at the front of the hotel and didn’t look like it was usable/clean. No window in room so felt like a prison cell and was horrible but we did know that beforehand. Staff were fine but didn’t help with bags as we had rucksacks, even though this should have been considered as every other persons luggage and there is no lift. Room was a bit run down and didn’t feel fully clean but overall it was cheap I suppose. I would recommend choosing somewhere else if you actually want to spend time in the hotel. Definitely doesn’t look as nice as the pictures. But if you are just needing a cheaper place to stay it is fine.

1. The hotel room was extremely small and had no windows, so it was poorly ventilated.
2. There were bloodstains on the pillows, and it seemed like the bed linen and even the bath towels hadn't been washed. The bath towels had a strong, unpleasant odor, as if they'd just come out of a swimming pool and hadn't been cleaned.
3. It was quite noisy due to its proximity to the road.
4. There's no elevator, none at all. Staff had to carry our luggage, but at least they were polite about it.
5. No toothpaste or toothbrushes were provided, and the other toiletries were minimal.
6. The worst part is that I booked it for over 500 RMB, but after I made the reservation, I found out that rooms for the same check-in time were going for just over 300 RMB. I really got ripped off! 😅
I'd be surprised if a place of this quality in China cost more than 200 RMB. I'm never booking international hotels on Ctrip again. Many Chinese people stay here, but honestly, I don't recommend this place. Don't book it if it costs more than 200 RMB.

Unfortunately, the pillow was too hard and too high, and I found it very uncomfortable, which affected my sleep quality.
