Novotel Chiangmai Nimman Journeyhub in Chiang Mai City

This was my first stay at this hotel, and I was truly impressed. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. The location is very convenient—just a 5-minute walk to Maya and less than 10 minutes to One Nimman. I also tried the seafood buffet dinner, which was delicious and reasonably priced. The room was comfortable and clean, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.

The front desk staff provided excellent service with a constant smile, making me feel very welcome. The room was spotlessly clean, and both the air conditioning and water pressure were incredibly strong and comfortable. Before checking in, I saw some reviews mentioning concerns about airplane noise, but I stayed for four nights and didn't hear a thing; it was very quiet.

The rooms are clean and tidy. There's a gym, pool, and meeting rooms. The breakfast spread is quite good, and the sunken-style dining area is a nice unique touch. It's about half an hour to the airport, and you'll occasionally see planes flying overhead.

Our family stayed at this Novotel for all four nights during our Chinese New Year trip to Chiang Mai, just like we did in Nha Trang, Vietnam previously. Overall, the hotel's location is great; it's a convenient 10-minute walk to Nimman Road. However, the hotel environment and room layout aren't quite up to the standard of the Novotel in Nha Trang, Vietnam. I'd like to commend the excellent service from both the front desk staff and the parking attendants.

Here's a breakdown of my stay:

1. **Location:** The hotel's location is decent, right on Nimman Road. It's about a ten-minute walk to One Nimman and Maya Mall. Getting to the airport takes about fifteen minutes. There are set meals, grilled skewers, and Chongqing hot pot available right off the main road, or you can head to the mall or One Nimman for a huge variety of restaurants and great shopping. There's also a lively night market in the evenings.

2. **Cleanliness:** Cleanliness was okay, fairly tidy. The shower had a slight odor, and the water quality was very poor – we had to change the shower head filter every two days.

3. **Room:** We booked two king-size rooms and they were placed next to each other, with a connecting door that could be opened to create a family suite. This was really convenient for staying with kids and elderly family members. The mattress was pretty good and comfortable, but the pillows were just average; they were already flattened and caved in the middle.

4. **Pool:** The pool is on the fourth floor and is open-air. It gets extremely sunny during the day.

5. **Environment:** Located in an alley off the main road, it's relatively quiet. However, the airplane noise is incredibly loud; it felt like we were staying right next to the airport. The air conditioning also generated a fair bit of noise. Earplugs were provided in the room for sleeping.

Overall, for a stay in Chiang Mai, it offers great value for money and is very convenient.

Very convenient, a quiet oasis in a bustling area. The service was excellent, and the brand's reputation for service truly put me at ease. The mattress was a bit soft, and the single bed was quite narrow, which is good to know in advance. Overall, a lovely hotel.

The location is very close to Nimman Road. The room is more business-oriented, and the cleanliness is acceptable. It's very convenient for shopping. A special thanks to the bellboy. I booked a Bolt ride, and there was a GPS discrepancy so I couldn't connect with the driver. The bellboy helped me get in touch with them, which I really appreciate.

The hotel is walkable to 7-Eleven and Maya Mall, though guests must pass through a very quiet alley. A shuttle service is available to selected areas from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The front desk staff need better training and could be more welcoming.

Very good hotel for a reasonable price. Spacious comfy room. Great selection for breakfast, including European breakfast. Located within 10 min walking distance from One Nimman.
