Give Me 5 Hostel in Chiang Mai City

Amazing hostel, staff were super friendly, private rooms felt like a hotel, great outdoor social area, they also sell snacks, food, drinks and coffee onsite.

I can’t say enough good things about this hostel — it truly felt like a little oasis in the heart of Chiang Mai. The atmosphere was warm, social, and full of good vibes. The rooms were spotless, the beds super comfy, and the common areas perfect for meeting other travelers or just relaxing after a day exploring temples and night markets. But what really made our stay unforgettable was the staff — especially the young girl on reception (I wish I could remember her name - she made our booking in the 6th of November at reception) She was always so cheerful and full of kindness. Her smile could genuinely light up the entire room, and every interaction with her instantly lifted my mood. She made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment I walked in. It’s rare to meet someone who radiates that much positivity — she’s an absolute gem and a huge part of why this hostel stands out (her coffees are also 10/10). We recently stayed at this hostel. Very friendly staff and were always very helpful.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.

There are no safety deposit boxes available to use & also if your room is to the front of the building then you will be able to hear everything at night. So we could hear people chatting outside & music from the bar opposite.
But these are my only complaints - otherwise we had a very good stay and would still recommend this hostel to others.
Location is very good! Walkable distance to everything in the old city.

My husband and I were staying nearby. We popped into Give Me 5 several times for happy hour-99 Baht cocktails! The staff members/bartenders at the desk were friendly and mixed up some great drinks! I settled on the margarita and hubby stuck to gin and tonic. The sitting area is a happy place to chill for a while! I’ll miss it when I’m back home drinking $15 margaritas!

After over a month of traveling, this is my favorite hostel so far in terms of quality and comfort. It is quiet, clean, comfortable and well-appointed with pretty every amenity you could want in a hostel. There are tables with outlets in the front where you can work if you need to, and the WiFi is very fast. The caramel macchiatos that you can order from their small coffee shop are really good and they offer free cookies in the kitchen! There are also plenty of showers and sink space downstairs if the bathroom in your dorm is occupied. The beds in the dorms are super cozy and comfortable with cabinets inside that lock, plus lights and outlets. The staff at the front are kind and friendly and helpful. Great place all-around. I'd definitely stay here again.

This hostel is amazing in every sense. I’m very picky with beds and even if this mattress is a little hard, the pillows are the best I ever got! Room is clean and there are enough bathrooms for everyone. The staff is lovely and very helpful, they also make the best coffee (and cappuccino). It is very close to a 7/11 which we all know it’s a must when in Thailand and also you can walk anywhere from here.

Good, clean hostel, in a pretty good location within the old town, fairly quiet and not the most social hostel out there, but no complaints. The staff are really friendly and the coffees and drinks are good and reasonably priced.

I stayed here for a few nights in a private room for some respite from dorms and actually ended up extending a night in a dorm room after my reservation was up. The private room was great. Clean bed and bathroom. No frills but still a decent size with a desk (no fridge). The dorm rooms were great too. The beds are pods built into the wall that you crawl in from the small bottom end of the bed. This makes them feel very private, secure, and very easy to get some sleep in. The only improvement they could make is to have a space for large luggage (however, they do have a smaller locked safe for valuables). Very snuggly beds with big thick comforters. The beds were soft, but the pillows were a little too big for my personal preference. The common space is very cute indoor/outdoor cafe space that was perfect for working at (although a little tough to find outlets). The staff was also very sweet. I would certainly recommend staying here :)
