Le Canal Boutique House in Chiang Mai City

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel has a very good location, close to everything and is very affordable. The rooms are clean although we had some ant problems first but that was solved very quickly by the staff. The room is quite small and has no windows and was a little bit noisy from outside but with earplugs good. The staff working here is very sweet and friendly and gave us a map with recommendations where to go for food, markets, laundry etc.

Highly recommend Le Canal Boutique House. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and the location is perfect. The receptionist helped plan our stay in Chiang Mai and made our trip extra special.

The room was very affordable for what you get, and the bathroom was bigger than expected. Some photos and reviews made it look small, but it felt totally fine to us. Basic amenities are provided, including shampoo, shower gel, soap, a shower cap, and body lotion.

The TV supports YouTube and local channels—we even watched Thai dramas, which was a fun bonus. There’s a shoe cabinet under the TV, small snacks on the vanity, and an electric kettle for coffee or tea. Most importantly, the hair dryer is actually good—long-haired girls can book this place with confidence!

Bottled water is provided in the fridge and refilled with housekeeping. The cleaning service was excellent and very attentive—they even noticed we didn’t drink cold water and thoughtfully placed the new bottles on the table instead.

The location is convenient: breakfast downstairs is delicious (Western breakfast is faster), there are two 7-Eleven stores nearby, and a small night market across the river with plenty of food options. You can also easily reach the Nimman area by songthaew.

One small downside: it’s not the quietest place, but the hotel even provides earplugs. Overall, we had a very happy stay and truly appreciated how caring the staff were.

Le Canal is truly a boutique Hotel and a fantastic place to stay in Chiang Mai. Situated on the north edge of the Old Town, it's an easy walk to anywhere.

I stayed 3 nights for the Lantern Festival. The room was spotless upon check-in, and thoroughly cleaned and restocked each day with toiletries, coffee, and snacks. Rooms are a little on the small size as you would expect, but quiet at night with very little road noise. There's even a sitting room and balcony to relax and unwind.

Staff are superb! Always smiling, friendly, and willing to help with anything you need. Overall a great place to stay, I would come back here on my next visit.

Perfect stay in Chiang Mai Old Town. Rooms are nice, clean, and quiet. The snacks and water are a nice addition. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is close to a night market, temples, bars, and cafes. It’s not a far walk into the main parts of town. Would definitely stay here again!

One of the best budget hotel in ChiangMai I've experience, room was very clean, 1 minute away from the famous NorthGate Pub, 3 minutes away from eatery (Changpuek Market). And the service is exceptional!!

A fantastic two day stay at this small, family-owned boutique style hotel. Clean, comfy rooms, a large work space / library, and small coffee shop/ restaurant at the front. Great location, excellent value.. wonderful team. Highly recommend
