Aruntara Riverside Boutique Hotel in Chiang Mai City

The hotel is quite good, well maintained, clean, and cozy. I would rate it 8.5/10 overall.

The breakfast is generally good, and the coffee quality is fine. You can sit by the riverside too if you prefer. However, we stayed for 6 nights, and the breakfast became a bit repetitive. It would be better if they changed some options at least every 2-days.

Both the room and the common areas are clean. Our room (deluxe) was spacious, and there was no bad smell from the sewage at all. The

They offer a free minibar, refilled daily: one beer, three soft drinks, small pack of chips, some nuts, and water. It would be better if they provided one beer per guest, so you can enjoy it together.

The only negative point was the air conditioning. It was noisy and difficult to use during the night if you are a light sleeper.

The check-in and check-out process was fast and smooth.

The hotel is about 10 minutes from the city center. A tuk-tuk costs around 100-150 baht, depending on the day and time. The price is almost the same as Grab, but the waiting time for a car can be 10-15 minutes, especially when returning to the hotel.

They also have a pool and a fitness center, we did not use them. There is a massage parlor in the hotel as well, but the prices are higher compared to massage places in the city.

Nice hotel, but maybe a little tired/dated and would benefit from some attention to detail with decoration and maybe some modernisation. Although perfectly good, the breakfast was not as impressive as other hotels on this trip

We had a lovely stay here a few weeks ago. It’s outside of the city centre in a lovely peaceful riverside location and easy to get taxis into city. Room was lovely and included fresh fruit on arrival and free minibar and snacks. but biggest shoutout to the staff who were so friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Karn Rojjanasilachai (Bomb) - assistant front office manager who helped to return an item of clothing I had left in the wardrobe. He couldn’t have been more helpful and I really appreciate he went out of his way to make the arrangements.

We had such a good quote and peaceful stay at this hotel. The staff were very nice and attentive.
Special thanks to our breakfast lady called MUSIC , Yates that was her popular name. She was amazing and looked after us and made the best coffee for me and my wife.

The hotel was perfect, the staff was very nice and kindly, especially the manager Tani She took care of everything we needed during our stay at the hotel.
I would recommend everyone to come to the hotel and enjoy their stay in Chiang Mai.

Our group of 12 had an amazing and restful time as always. I cannot express how nice it is to come to this quiet haven of beautiful architecture, greenery, pool, and friendly cats! Your beds and pillows are still the best. Your breakfast - better than best. Some of us loved the pool, others cruising the friendly neighborhood, and all of us your amazing and helpful staff. Wicha, Stuart, and now Joseph - thank you for everything! Can't wait until next time.

Just left the Sugar Cane after a 5 day stay. We had a great stay, perfect location 15 mins walk into the Tha Phea Gate/Night Market. The rooms are large and airy, super clean. Staff are really friendly and helpful - highly recommend it if you are looking for a location inside the city with a warm welcome. Great breakfast too!

Just spent 4 nights at Sugar Cane, perfect for my needs and the price was good. Rooms cleaned every day, staff super friendly, breakfast was good and the pool was ideal after a day exploring. The hotel is in a nice quiet area but not too far away from town, I hired a motorbike and it wasn’t too crazy. If you do I recommend the Samoeng Loop 👌 I’ll be back 😎
