Shewe Wana was so peaceful and quiet, tucked away behind the street. Kate looked after our every need, and we did enjoy her breakfasts. It was a real pleasure to stay here, and yes, we would do so again.

We loved this little hotel….a real oasis in this area of Chiang Mai. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the surprise towels on our bed on arrival. The grounds were lovely with the most beautiful flowers blooming when we were there and two welcoming pools. Breakfast was delicious and all staff so helpful and courteous.

All the staff are so helpful, caring and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us, we felt we went home as friends.
Reception will book any excursions for you, just remember you will need cash!
They even made a special breakfast and gave flowers for my partner's big birthday.
The rooms and all common areas are very clean.
The breakfasts are tasty and cooked to order, with the tables next to one of the swimming pools.
The hotel is set on a busy street however once inside the grounds or your room you don't hear the traffic.
The beds are king size and comfortable and the rooms are big enough, although not huge.
The walk into the old city is about 20 minutes, but Songthaew pass by and it's easy to get a Grab taxi if you don't want to walk.
If we return to Chiang Mai, we wouldn't hesitate to book in again.
Thank you Shewe Wana

Where do I start . . . Well, when I first arrived I was slightly worried that I was a little too far from the Old Town. However, the location turned out to be absolutely perfect for me. I love walking and it was just a 20 minute stroll for me to the day and night markets then a little further to Old Town. I only once took a taxi as I enjoyed the walk and felt very safe, day and night. The hotel itself is an absolute gem . . . A calming haven to return to after exploring each day. Lush green plants, the pool (I only discovered there were actually two pools on my last day!) and just a genuinely peaceful and serene ambience. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were wonderful; healthy and tasty with plenty of variety. My bed was comfortable and I slept like a log whilst there. Last but in no way least, the staff. I can’t thank them enough as they made my stay. Everyone was friendly and very helpful, going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. As a first time solo traveller that meant so much to me. Rose, in particular was really helpful with advice and tour booking. I met Joy too and she was very kind and helpful. Staying at the Shewe Wana for 5 nights was a fantastic experience and I hope to return one day and even stay a little longer! Thank you everyone. ☺️

This is a neat little hotel in a convenient location. The staff are helpful and friendly. I had a wonderful time. A lot of neat stuff may be found within walking distance. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated.

Tranquil location with good amenities. Pools were lovely and we had them to ourselves. Staff were very attentive and polite. Breakfast choice was made to order and there was a good choice. They even got me a card and a cake for my birthday which was really sweet of them! Approximately 15 mins walk from old town.

Really nice hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast is great with a choice of tasty dishes as well as fresh fruit & yoghurt. The front of the property is very deceiving, when you go inside, it’s like a tropical oasis. 2 pools, both small but adequate. Rooms are nice and beds are comfy. Unusual lock on the door but this adds to the charm. Decent location just over the river. Only cost us a couple of pounds in a grab into the centre. Nice and quiet but within easy reach of attractions.

Super friendly and helpful staff. The hotel felt like a green oasis in the city. 2 small pools. We had a lovely 2 bedroom suite. Buffet breakfast choice was okay but not extensive. However the French toast for breakfast was sensational! The building felt quite old in places but don’t let that put you off as it is well looked after. It took 10-15 minutes to walk to the night bazaar which is well worth a visit. We would stay there again.
